Why would we be worried about the police:confused:

I do not understand the link here between your title and the article.

<< One local authority has agreed a care plan including payment for a 21-year-old with learning disabilities to have sex with a prostitute in Amsterdam next month.

His social worker, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said social services were there to identify and meet the needs of their clients - which, in the case of an angry and frustrated young man, meant paying for sex. >>

I have visions of this :

Glad to hear that you are safe in your environment. However, one day, especially if you work with more than 2 girls in the premise, the local police in closing down the "brothel" will find it slightly more problematic if you've had the benefits dept. of the local council inspected and accepted your circumstances. The police, generally, like to shoot first and ask questions later.

Don't you mean only if 2 or more girls work on the premises?

I'm sure that being within the law, is not relevant here. So "especially" stays, sorry :)

I think your going off on a tangent there Ken.

The only people who need to worry about the police are those that operate outside the law.

Prostitution is not illegal.

Why on earth are they forking out for him to go all the way to amsterdam when there is a perfectly healthy sex industry right here, he could save the money for the travel and just have more sex.

In answer to the thread title which i dont find has any correlation to the actual thread then no, i am not worried about the police. Not doing anything illegal and even my guys who book me through the parlours would be able to say, hey,she has her own website, twitter,**,numerous profiles on the www and to top it off he can prove im not doing this against my will because of my small numbers of posts on this site.I would also be happy to give my real name to the police if any dodgy circumstances occured for them to check that i am registered as an escort with mrtax. Hopefully all that would keep us both out of any trouble.

A pure guess, but I would venture that the good people in Social Services have this wierd idea that paying money in return for sex is illegal in England & Wales (or for that matter, Scotland or Northern Ireland) whereas it is legal in Holland!

Aaaaagh! The depths of ignorance with which we have to strive!

Jeez, its no wonder this world is so cloak and dagger sometimes if people think its illegal.x

That was my point. Being within the law is not relevant here.

I'm very worried about the police.

I called my local police after helping a man who had just been assaulted- the attacker was still strutting around, I told the police this and they (he) turned up 6 weeks later on a mountain bike.;) The men had gone, I had forgotten the incident, and all was well in the shire.

If your asking if I (as a WG) am worried about the police in connnection with my work then no. Why should I be. I work and support myself, I don't claim any benefits or services and of course I pay my tax, I do everything a responsible working honest citizen should do. ( in fact I pay 2 of everything including TV licence, double mortgage, double council tax, and so on.)

My double life means double everything including contributing twice to the local economy. I'm a model citizen in stereo.

I should be worried about the ignorance of officialdom including some police officers, but I'm not. If I'm honest I wouldn't even think about the police or official bods until tax time or someone asks on a thread.

Or that they fancy a trip to Holland to accompany him?

My thoughts exactly. Whilst I absolutely support the guy's access to sex workers, it sounds like a junket to me. What's wrong with the ladies who are listed on the TLC site ?

The new Section 53A is what the problem is IMHO.
