A Serious Suggestion

33 posts in this topic

Punternet was originally set up for punters to exchange views on all aspects of punting.

Over time it seems to me that the board is now dominated by a number of WGs - most of whose posts add little to man's knowledge of the punting scene.

Time for a change:

Is it not now time for PN to revert to its original concept and for the many WGs who post here to set up their own site on which they can chat about punters ad nauseaum.

Personally I like to hear what the W.G.'s have to say. I think you can learn a lot from the more informed posts by some of the W.G's. I think the forum would be a bit of a dull place without them.

Right on - go count 'em.

I like to hear how the Working Girls see things, as opposed to us punters, makes for a fuller picture.

I imagine that the majority of punters, find the opinions of wgs the most interesting part of this site. Remove them, and you would have something ressembling the letters page of Mayfair mag in the 70s.

What is the point of this thread exactly? Are you just trying to antangonise people?

The boards haven't exactly been pleasant recently, so if you valued the boards and our little "punting community" then you would start threads that were less likely to end up being yet another negative cat fight between the boys and the girls.

This place isn't the school playground. Its for adults.

Wg's have as much to learn from the punters view as the boys have to learn from the WG's. Punters need Wg's and vice versa, all that is required that there be a little respect.

I couldn't have said it better myself. I mirror this opinion.

And in my opinion it very quickly became a sterile place, I have no problem with a mix of posters on this board. Whether punter only or a mixture it would not affect my posting, I would still post what I want and when I want.

Well if it was just punters who posted on this site then I doubt I would bother coming here, as there plenty of other sources to get punters views only.

For me I think it is refreshing to hear the other side of the story, and have welcomed what WG's have had to say.

I don't know why you are suggesting that it should be a punters only site, but if you don't like the way it is now, why do you visit. Like I said, there are plenty of other sources of punters views.

OP... Service providers contribute quite a lot to PN, and our subscription fees help with the running costs. At best, surely you could make an argument for a specific part of the forum to be set aside for you?

You don't think there aren't any such sites already?but you are correct the forum is dominated by a few posters, with certain views which seem to me to be equally balanced between WGs and punters, swaying occasionally either way.

Cannot understand how anyone would want a site representing only one gender/side

Not wanting to bring this right down to playground level but if you don't like the board go and start your own - nah nah.....

Seriously, the only thing that could improve this board is more WG's posting not less. When we do get a decent thread going it's usually well balanced re punters and providers and that, I beleive, adds to the value significantly. As punters we can write FR's , post, chat, why should we prevent providers doing the same?

A healthy mixture of the views of punters and WGs can only be a good thing , BUT I do think that the balance has tipped too far in the WGs side .

It has become difficult to post anything on PN which strays from the party line as dictated by the prolific WG posters and their faithful fluffies .

Just ignore them, post what you want to post, it works for me.

Like Mr SASfan says, nobody stops you posting your opinions, I am not aware of any "party line" just a debate with some very intelligent (and some not so intelligent) people!

From the home page:

The Online Community for Patrons and Providers of Adult Personal Services in the UK

If you don't like what the service providers post, then spend an hour or two blocking us all or just don't read our posts.

I'm hoping you're a troll.

But if your not, I think it would be a rather boring forum if it were just punters.

On a lot of threads i often just read what the WGs say, and skip the punters responses.

No way ! From a selfish punter point of view , I think the contributions from the WGs themselves gives a hugely valued insight into the mind of the girls and this adds greatly to my understanding and enjoyment of punting. I'm not bothered meeting the lads for one-sided stories about punting experiences.

In agreement withanother poster who calls for involvement of more WGs not less. I would like to see contributions made fromm a broader range of WGs and indeed punters and it is up to all posters to create the environment were they feel happy to do so.

Maybe a separate section for punters only would be a good thing -- nothing against that at all.In fact its a good idea.

As Mr McEnroe used to say "You cannot be ........"

Personally, I enjoy the full spectrum of views here and would be appalled if the ladies were banned. I expect that with the resultant loss of traffic, it would spell the end of the board and open up a niche for a competitor to set up something with mixed gender posters.

In the hour or so this thread has been up, of the 12 male respondents, 2 are for Scorchin's (serious:rolleyes:) suggestion and 10 against (I'm not ignoring the WG view, honest, but I can't imagine many of you coming on here and saying you agree with the OP ). It'll be interesting to see how this thread develops as we move into the evening and night shift.

I can see that WGs do seem to dominate a little - but only because such a high percentage of them are so clear-sighted and intelligent that their comments make an impact.

Not being fluffy - I've been told off on here by one WG and I was taken aback simply because she is one of the insightful ones referred to.

The idea is simply a non-starter BUT - making the girls-only board that apparently exists easier for them know about and access to exchange health, security etc issues away from punters would seem a very good idea.

Why would you wanna turn the forum into a total sausage fest? Some of my favourite posters on the forum are actually WG's and I enjoy reading comments and opinons that they can provide from their side of the industry.

For example, I recently had problems with my phone manner when dealing with escorts and several WG graciously offered their opinions and thoughts on how to improve my phone technique for which I'm thankful.

Though I agree that the balance of forum has been shifted in favour of WGs in general and IMO a few overly vocal WGs and thier fluffy companions use quite unpleasant tactics to dominate the forum and viciously attack those that disagree with them.
