Working on trains and cruise ships

33 posts in this topic

The post on cruise ships reminds me of a lady I used to visit in Bristol. She used to work the night sleeper trains London to Glasgow!

I got to thinking if there is any demand for ladies on cruise ships? Single, possibly rich men/women who need a bit of company?

I have long harboured a desire to have an overnight punt on the caledonian sleeper!

I fucked my missus on the Caledonian sleeper - well you have to try it don't you - the experience was novel but cramped and the compartment reeked of diesel fumes, a great turn on!

I am convinced (or at least like to believe) that my son was conceived on that trip though my wife says she knows exactly when he was conceived (where was I then?) - but it allows me to do two things - one answer the question "where is the most unusual place you have had sex?" A: on a train - not mentioning its a sleeper and "Where was I conceived Dad?" A: "somewhere near Shap summit at 2 in the morning doing 125mph.......

I travelled the sleeper a couple of times alone and concluded the idea was romantic but the reality crap - a lady to share the night with would have been great since I never got any sleep, if ever a service was misnamed that was it.

Wouldn't they book company well in advance?

It is a nice little niche if someone were to specialise in the "water jet set"

! but I'm unsure of the captain and crewe reaction to one of our number prowling the deck swinging a red lanyard and looking every inch the spirit of Ann Bonney.

It might be a good idea if someone is looking for a rich long term husband/sugar daddy but imagine the work outlay on the accomodation with no gaurenteed income to rely on.

Isn't the glorious repulic of the Internet the new working enviroment, and the actual location nothing more than a facilortatory factor?

*makes breakfast whilst humming the theme to Love boat ...........

Love, exciting and new

Come Aboard. We're expecting you.

Love, life's sweetest reward.

Let it flow, it floats back to you.

Love won't hurt anymore

It's an open smile on a friendly shore.

Yes LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE! It's LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE! (hey-ah!)

From what I understand about cruise ships, you'd be competing with a lot of women who don't charge anything. Not that I know this first-hand, you understand.

I imagine you could make some money off the middle-aged men who can't pull, but I doubt many of them take cruises alone. They save the money and spent it on WGs at home :D

A couple of years ago I crossed the Atlantic on a cruise ship. It was wintry and my wife did not share my enthusiasm for the sea so she flew a week later. Alone ( and not wearing a ring....i don't have one) I was flirted with and propositioned by many 40/50 something well preserved ladies travelling on their own. I am no oil painting though !!!

If I had wanted to the hours that could have been enjoyably whiled away!!

Are any of the girls working on the 18:03 from Paddington tonight?

I used to travel up and down to Newcastle a lot. There used to be two girls worked the London to Aberdeen train. They used to work here for a week or two at a time, then go back south. BUT, work started as soon as they were on the train. "The Intercity Slags" was what they called themselves. They were an absolute scream in the buffet car once they'd had a couple of drinks.

Think the sleeper has a max speed of 90mph.

the idea is to let people sleep, not thrash!

My brother had an adventure on the inverness to london sleeper, with an american woman.

On the subject of cruiseships, surely everyone knows that in the over forty bracket, women out number men big time. There are so few decent men, that cruise ships have to employ professional dance partners. So if you can dance sign up now.

I assume that if either of these game girls ensnared a punter that the dirty deed was performed in the loo (unless they had their own sleeper compartment booked of course).

I realise that shagging in public conveniences is pretty much a staple in many porn movies, but every Intercity train loo that I have ever been in has been absolutely disgusting and I couldn't imagine summoning the ardour for a quickie in such surroundings.

Mind you, any punter accepting a proposition in a buffet car has balls of steel anyway .

Takes all kinds eh ?

What about incalls on one of these http://www.gumtree.com/london/16/65342316.html

There was one (canal boat massage service) advertised in a shop window near to me... Unfortunately the phone is ALWAYS off, which is sad because for some reason the idea of 'doing it on the river' really appealed to me.

SIGH!

When i started freelancing i costed getting a narrow boat as a place to stay while working away, moving it form town to town as i changed contracts.

I wonder if anyone has considered aetting up a mobile parlour on a narrow boat?

Much less on average, I'd have thought-- it's 7 hours from London to Glasgow, about 400 miles & 12 hours all the way to Ft William or Inverness, which can't be more than 650.

And, it's still the best way to travel, coming back over after few days climbing; cheese, oatcakes and malt whiskey in the lounge car; stop at Corrour where there's nothing but a bar and bunkhouse, commonly shut; watching for the deer on Rannoch Moor and seeing mountains climbed and mountains yet to climb.... the long view down Glencoe, then watching the last light go as she crosses from Loch Lomond to Arrochar, with 500 miles still to run...

I've never been propositioned on the sleeper but I've usually slept, leastways after I've been climbing. And, as for the heating, Laura, there's a little wheel you turn in the panel next to the bunk... Blue is cold, red warm. Or there's that whiskey from the longe car.

Now to be really sad, the train has a Mk3 sleeping carriages and Mk2 lounge cars and is limited to 100mph, however, the two trains (one with portions for Edinburgh & Glasgow, and the other with sections for Fort William, Aberdeen and Inverness) is 'timed' at 80mph and is routed through Northampton. It's not the fastest journey in the world, and the only way I could shag a lady on the sleeper is doggy style as the bunks are too narrow !

I use the train every 2-3 months and have never got lucky. I've done better with the Virgin trolley dollies.

And as Wanderlust says, Rannoch Moor can be stuning.

That'd be tricky too..... there isn't much headroom!

I love the idea of living on one and working from it could be... different. Just go tour wherever suits! Emptying the loo doesn't seem like fun though :D
