2 North West Parlours Raided

So,

The double swoop follows detailing planning by officers.

That'll be a first, then?

Chief Inspector Keith McLachlan said: "As with yesterday, our investigation has focused on those who are making large profits from the running of suspected brothels, and not the women who work there.

Ah, so what he means is that he woke in the night to see a hand writing the magic strophe "POCA" on the wall?

"This establishment has caused concern to the local community and our action in the last two days should act as reassurance that Merseyside Police will use all forms of legislation to improve the quality of life for local residents.”

Or we'll twist the law to suit our ends?

Fortunately the G Manchester police seem to adopt a more "informed" opinion when it comes to establishments!

All brothel owners make large profits so why are the police so selective. There must be some unwritten law which separates those of reputable character who are deemed fit and capable. I wonder how much of an outcry there would be if the govt proposed legalising brothels, running them as social enterprises and initiating a sex tax.

one or two have been raided and shut down over the yrs but the MAJORITY keep their nose's clean and are left well alone.

the police are always after the owners not the parlours.

Probably true in the case of Manchester. However, in some cities, towns and areas, brothels are not tolerated no matter who the owners are.
