I'm Guessing It's A Scam?

4 posts in this topic

A reply from an advert on gumtree coming from an email address "____@mail2plus.com" Just a quick google tells me that's not even an email hosting site. (I think)

What could they gain from this though? Spam my email address?

EDIT: Cant' delete or even edit posts for some reason. The reply stated I had to register at some site or other so I could access her phone number. So yes, a scam. Don't know why I even had to ask really. Put it down to being late. :D

Any internet address can be used to send/receive email. It looks like somebody using an internet hosting solution (provided by hostgator.com). Most internet hosting providers include webmail as well as website hosting in their packages.

There lots of easier ways to harvest email addresses.

Gumtree is a real den of scams. I wouldnt trust it at all its poorly managed and policed. The Russians love it apparently because its so easy to scam people on there.

They will be after more than your E-mail address Portable!
