My real first one because I don't care. It could be a fake one as far as the girls are concerned. No one has ever asked for my second name though and I would not give it because it is none of their business.

Hey, guess what my name is!

Same here & I'd more than likely forget what false name I had given :)

^^ This.

I only give my first name, it's a fairly common name, I make the (possibly unfair) assumption that they don't really care if it's my real name or not, and it saves me the bother of trying to remember who I am.

Nobody wants the awkward moment when the door opens and they ask if I'm so-and-so whilst I hesitate, realise that it is me being addressed and then try to recall if that's the name I gave on the phone or not.

[/run-on sentences aplenty]

Always real first name and with my regular girl also my surname, home and work email address and my real mobile number, ie. not a special punting phone. I do have to admit that the emails she sends to my work get deleted fairly quickly although she is tactful and doesn't use language that is likely to attract attention apart from the few 'darlings', 'miss you' and 'xxx' which I can put down to a very dear friend if asked. I understand why people would not give their real names and I might be inclined that way if I only had one-off meets rather than regular ones with a girl that I have come to trust.

I'm a single guy and not in a relatioship so don't feel like there's anything to hide, if I'm happy with the company then I have no issue giving my real name.

I use my first name, although one regular Asian girl misheard it on our first meeting and continues to use it. It's a common first name. I think its funny so haven't bothered correcting her.

IIRC Koos, you are married. I hope you delete the texts from your regular as promptly as those emails she sends to you at work. You don't want them falling into the hands of your better half :o.

Also, if you work for a halfway large company these days, those work emails might well be scanned (or even stored) by your IT dept.

I use my real Punternet first name. One WG asked me if Robin was my real name to which I replied, "Yes it is, and your first name is ...."

Even though I am single with nothing to hide I like being "Robin" when I punt. I think its important to practice your lying in case you end up in a relationship with someone. :o

I used to use my personal mobile no for punts but now have a dedicated pay as you go phone for that.

Oh Yes I have a punting name, infact I have a whole punting persona.

In the same way that I am a different person when playing rugby and known as "meatxxxx" to when I am playing with my children and just Dad

Another person at work, Mr xxxxxxx and of course to friends Sxxxxx.

Do all these confuse me

Hell no

They are all just facets of the ME

I use the name that everyone calls me by, my friends, family etc, even though this is not the name on my birth certificate. Only one very special lady knows my real name but unfortunately she doesn't seem to want to keep in contact with me even though we have a fair amount of history on this forum. If you're reading this, you know who you are! Get in touch you, you are sorely missed! X

Absolutely loathe my first name, which back in the sixties and seventies had connotations of 'poshness',not good growing up on a council estate! Apart from my few friends from childhood, everyone knows me by my middle name, which is what I always use with WGs. These are, after all, the ladies I am most (or indeed at all) intimate with, so why should I want them to call me by a name other than my own?

I am of course single, but even if married I'm sure I'd prefer to use my real name, unless it was incredibly distinctive.

Middle name on a first encounter (people refer to me to often using my middle name anyhow, much prefer it to my first name), but once I get to know the lady, have no problem using my first name, despite the fact I'm not fond of it :)

I use my real first name with all WGs - no need to hide behind a pseudonym. Lately I've had to visit directly from work and have forgotten to remove my work id card going to visit, so my regular probably knows my full name. I don't feel threatened by this as my mobile number is available without needing to know my real name anyway. The SPs do not know whether one has a punting phone or not.

I always give my real forename but never my surname: the former - because there's no reason not to; the latter - I'm not sure why not. I saw a girl three weeks ago with whom I'd struck up a good rapport via email prior to our meeting. The meeting went really well and our emails continued and after a couple of weeks she told me her real name (forename). It felt incredibly intimate to know her name. I'm not sure if I'd actually volunteer my surname, but if she asks I'll tell her.

I use my first real name, never my surname, and also ensure that the train ticket is purchased with cash if I have a train journey, so no-one can ask 'why did you go to xxxx'.

real first name - even though it's not very common - but why worry?

BTW, I don't expect the lady's name to be her real name but then again if it's the coirrect first name what could you doi with that??

Also, if you work for a halfway large company these days, those work emails might well be scanned (or even stored) by your IT dept.

I've no problem giving my name, but I'd never give my work email or phone number. I'd also be wary about giving them an email address containing my real name.

Re the emails, you certainly don't want anybody emailing you dubious stuff at work. As mentioned above, many companies scan and store all emails. They are the property of the company, not you. Also, the girl may get sloppy and mail you from here sexy-escort.co.uk email address, which would set off all kinds of warnings at my company. The reason for not using an email address with your real name is simply that some girls will bulk email you 'marketing' material, but leave all of the email addresses visible. I've got dozens of emails containing 100+ email addresses of punters. It always surprises me how many people are using what look like real names (and how many of them work at Shell  ).

Re work phones, if you got sacked/left and they took your phone back there and then, you might have all kinds of stuff on there that you may not want them seeing, plus they may keep the number and give the phone to somebody else in the company which could get a little awkward when they start receiving texts and calls from ladies.

So, for me, real name okay, personal phone is okay if it belongs to you, but never give anything that is tied to your work, and use a separate email address that doesn't contain your full name in case it gets emailed to other punters.
