Hr And Thrush

23 posts in this topic

Not sure if this is the right place or the massage boards. But a few places I go to for an HR I always end up with Thrush on my dick after a few days. Does anyone else have this experience ? It must be to do with the cheap industrial oil they use ? It doesn't happen everywhere, just a few specific places (I will not mention names).

Im just curious to know why the hell oil would cause this ?

I have never heard of this happening, and was wondering if you are for sure it is thrush?

It could possibly be a staph infection, though as I haven't seen it, I really can't say.

Staph infection is a very common bacterial skin infection that is passed from skin to skin contact, or can even be passed if you share a towel or sheets with other people.

Though it can look quite nasty and be very irritating to the skin, it really isn't so serious. The easiest way to avoid cathcing this:

Ask your provider to please wash her hands right before the hr

Make sure she is using a pump bottle or something else similar with the oil/cream, rather than something she dips her hands into, this is the easiest way bacteria can spread

Also ask her to change the table with fresh linens before you lay down. I have worked in a few spa type places and was aboslutely horrified when they told me there was no need to change the tables in bewteen clients! (I did it anyways)

And lastly, take a minute to clean yourself properly immediately after the massage, anti-bac wipe should work in a pinch, but make sure you get home to wash asap

If the problem still persists I would suggest popping on down to the clinic and having a dr take a look.

Good luck and hope this helps!

New member so go easy.

That prompts another question.

Has anybody else had any issues after visiting a parlour? Also wonder about the ladies hands. I know that herpes is unlikely to infect the hand but wonder about genital warts. (Have heard that the herpes virus can innoculate through broken skin anywhere but not sure if that's true.) Not sure if the strains of HPV which cause GW can actually infect the hands or be passed from one client to another in the absence of proper handwashing.

I've been to some parlours, where they just straighten the sheets after each client, and just spray a linen freshener to make it smell good!

This came from a WG who told me it was standard practise! She was not too keen on it either

As to why you have an irritation afterwards, Madison is totally right !!!

Did you use oil / creams ? may just be a "sensitive" reaction to them

It is sensible to visit a GUM clinic periodically, if only for peace of mind. I know the thought of phoning up and going can seem scary, but it isn't that bad, and once you've been the first time you'll wonder what it was that seemed so alarming.

Not only will you get checked out while there, but you will have the opportunity to ask questions about any concerns you may have, and also to get vaccinated against Hep B for example. It is worth doing imo.

* offers a vicarage bravery pill :P *

When you phone up you are not obliged to give your real name, or date of birth, nor do you have to disclose which GP you are registered with. You can give a mobile number as a contact (punting mobile if you wish).

Have you self diagnosed this to be thrush ? I've never had it but was under the impression it didn't go away by itself.

If you suspect cheap oil is used, then it could be a mineral oil, akin to baby oil. It's quite high on the allergy scales, causing you to have a dry, red soreness for a few days. Goes on its own. The glycerine and parabens in lube can have this effect on some people too. * EDIT - Why not bring a little bottle of your own oil. Make up some story that you're often allergic to oils.

If you're concerned about hand hygiene, bring along your own hand sanitiser gel and ask her to use it before you start. A client brought some along for me to use once, as he got out his brand new little bottle (bought especially for me - aah), I pointed to towards my much bigger half empty one :D

I could swear its the oil, but given no one else seems to have come across this not sure. I was the first client of the day and she was eating toast, so I doubt it could have come from actual contact. They sheets are paper and they change them and the towels are clean. I also have a shower there straight after and wash the oil off the best I can.

I'd like to get to the bottom of this but just cant point the finger as to what causes it. I haven't had any sexual contact for ages, so I doubt it could be any disease. Will go to the clinic I think this is the best thing to do, but cant get an appointment !

For some clinics, at least, you don't even have to give a mobile number. You can choose to phone up for results, from a call-box, using a reference number. The precise procedures seem to vary, but it is possible to give out no info at all. Though you might worry about catching something from a public phone. :)

I think you are right, it depends on what level of concern you have over your privacy being breached etc.

I think the initial form on first visit does have spaces for your GP, home address etc. all you need to do is leave anything blank that you are uncomfortable disclosing, they won't get cross with you!

The GUM clinics are a disaster. No appointments till next week, but you can come in 1 hour early and queue up and you may be able to see someone. No wonder there are so many STD's in this country. The NHS needs restructuring. Did I mention that the parking is £4 an hour or something. And you can only buy 1 or 3 hours blocks ?

Looks like it was thrush....natural Greek yogurt for a few days seems to have done the trick.

GUM clinic funding comes a long way behind hips for old ladies and cancer treatments. That's the way it is, and the way most want it. A lot of illnesses involve a 6 month wait to see specialist. Next week isn't that bad. You can always go privately.

Greek yogurt whilst soothing generally doesn't clear up thrush completely. You can however buy the thrush treatment over the counter at your local pharmacy, it's called Diflucan. I would recommend you do go back to the clinic however since you do need to make sure it's not something else. I cycle to my clinic, it's about 2 miles away and a lot less hassle then getting the car out.

Many things are often expressed in terms of what a WG can earn. You could look at it in terms of the money you are spending on your massueses. £4 is a very small proportion and not much for some high-level testing, or your health.

Thrush treatment is easy. Get the canenstan duo (tablet and cream). If it isn't then it won't matter to use this.

Towels get re-used which is disgusting. Surely there is a market for hygenic, upscale, punting in the UK?

I suspect that they don't clean (maybe anything, ever!) their oil bottles/surfaces/light switches/door handles...

Punters would be shocked if they really knew what went on behind the scenes.

I've worked (or been interviewed and kindly turned down offers to work) at places where;

...they just used to tumble dry the wet used towels and re-used them.

...they never hovered, just let the pubes collect in the carpet.

...never changed the oil in the bottle, just always topped it up (or poured it back into the main container to reuse it again...).

...never cleaned down the table.

...if they did clean the table they just used baby wipes.

...never changed the towel/linen on the table/bed (just picked off the stray pubes...).

...got out the Fabreeze for that “just washed” freshness.

...never cleaned the oil bottles, or if they did, not properly.

...had cum encrusted door handles/light switches/carpets.

...hardly ever cleaned the bathroom, certainly not after each client.

...filled the shower gel bottles and soap dispensers with bath foam as it is cheaper!

...shall I go on?!

Guys, in short, you get what you pay for.

A large scale operation is not going to care about cleanliness in the same way as a one woman show. Let’s face it, when as girl you are paying a madam 50-60% of your earnings plus a “maid fee” (for them to tumble dry those dirty towels and do f-all else) you are not so inclined to run about with the anti-bac cleaner for free!

Hi abc12345, some good advice above especially from the ladies both regards the condition you describe and choosing the places to go to. I have one question. Do you have a foreskin? If so, it is pssible that the semen collects uner the fold and together with the oil creates a bit of a greenhouse effect for skin bacteria (Staph) to flourish to abnormal levels. Also, despite using oil your foreskin skin could be irritated from any vigorous hand actions. These could be causes. It is highly unlikely that it is thrush. As someone said earlier, go home and wash and wash under the foreskin too....and see how you go. Good luck.

I get thrush after any antibiotics. I have recently seen a nutritionist and been advised to cut Yeast from my diet completely, along with sugars.

I have been told to eat only pure Live bio-yogurts as the sugary ones have no real health benefits, the sugar kills the good bacteria, so far Im on a diet of Oats, Chicken, Tuna, Bio-yogurt and water. Ive lost a stone in 3 weeks, but still dont feel great and its f'ing expensive. I also bought Yeast Raiders from Holland & Barrett. Been told to do this for 6 weeks and there is a terrible "yeast Die-off" there is a good writing about it here;

http://www.complemed.co.uk/patientguides/yeast-free-diet.htm

It basically tells you what you shouldnt eat and if you can identify most of your present diet with the Dont eat list then theres scope to think about cutting alot of it, just to see how it goes.

Hope this helps :)

OMG!

Renee - thank you for that enlightening view of parlour life.

It also supports th reason why I have never ventured into a parlour for sex, and never will, prefering outcalls to hotels of my chosing, or incalls to the escort's own premises - where at least you have the option of walking, if all is not well. It may have been on this board or the previous PN board (yes, I've been around a few years) that I was particularly scathing on the external appearance of certain parlours in Leicester, and clearly the cleanliness is no better inside. Renee's list is enough to make one puke !

I sometimes get itchy under my foreskin and it looks very red. In my case it is sometimes a little flare up of psoriasis, often after a particularly vigorous hand job. Just something to consider.

Thrush can flair with oils because...

Even though you shower straight after or as soon as you get home what you also need to be aware of is that oil even once it's sunk into the skin still creates a barrier to the skin breathing, and this creates a perfect breading ground for thrush, hot, wet/damp places.

That is why when you have thrush as a woman your told to wear cotton undies, or if you can go commando, because the air helps to reduce the breeding ground for thrush.

You can buy several thrush treatments over the counter, and they come in oral form, though, the dose is a high dose to blast it, so maybe a trip to the GP for a lower dose course over several days would be better for you.

The best advice I can offer, is loose fitting trousers, cotton underwear (or none) and I would suggest a GP visit or GUM to clarify that it is thrush you have.

After a Massage don't wear your undies if you can help it, because travelling home or back to the office, makes your groin a perfect breeding ground.

Hot humid environment,

Oil/drive(sitting in office)/ undies and trousers on = thrush.

also antibiotics, set off thrush like no tomorrow and certain foods can as well.

hope this helps

Sounds like punters who use parlours should start taking our their own Anti Bac Gel, towels, oils, wipes, slippers and towels with us [in a large holdall !] if we care about hygeine !

One thing I've never done in a brothel is remove my socks - and for the very reasons listed above ! LOL :)

Glad I stumbled over this thread. Apart from an unsuccessful trip to LMP in London (unsuccessful as I failed to get hard after my initial pop) all other trips to WG are for HJ and BJ.

The last one was in early July when I had a tantric session. I was asked if I wanted OWO towards the end and said yes. All was well but a few days later I had a redness around the head and on the skin (underneath and on top).

The trouble is I notices this when I was away in Asia. The redness was not painful and there is no discharge at all.

I still have this today and am wondering what to do. I have used Sudacream and this clears the skin up but it come back quickly a few days later. Have also started showering only with Oilatum (sp).

I am now thinking it may be thrush. I would prefer NOT to go to the GUM clinic as I don't have any discharge. Should I just pop to tesco pharmacy and get Canestan Duo (sp)?

What advise would you have for me?

It's possible to have relatively mild thrush where the symptoms may not include discharge or pronounced itching - redness in patches or spots could indicate this. Without treatment of some kind it stands a reasonable chance of lingering and developing further.

If it is thrush, then Canestan cream is normally very effective. Applying according to the directions for a few days will normally clear it up - and continuing to apply it for a while after the symptoms have disappeared will diminish the likelihood that it returns. As will attention to one's diet: sugar, alcohol and anything constipating can all contribute significantly to yeast overgrowth; probiotics (like Activia, Yakult, live yoghurt, probiotic supplements) help restore and maintain a healthy balance. Put together alcohol and dietary changes, along with heat and humidity (which yeasts adore - as Autumn Temptation notes), and you can see why thrush often thrives when people are travelling.

All this is said with a fairly predictable caveat: one's peace of mind can be *greatly* enhanced by not self-diagnosing and going to a GUM clinic, and my experience of those places is very positive: certainly in London there are several that hold drop-in sessions and in my experience they always have terrific staff.

I get EXACTLY the same as this after oily HR. It has got to the point I cant retract my foreskin as it gets too tight.

Canestan cream works for me now, and as the OP said it doesnt happen every time, but all times with baby oil

That is because baby oil/mineral oil basically coats the area in liquid plastic so the skin is unable to breathe.

Guys, if you see baby oil/mineral oil, save your skin and WALK!

That aside, a dose of the oral thrush tablet will sort you fellas out right away!
