When Time Starts To Catch Up With You.

Any of you older punters feel that time has caught up with you.

Im starting to feel that way, Im 59 this year, my job keeps me fit but has given me a dodgy knee and a few twinges in the back, hips and neck, I still have all my own teeth and hair and I still have the same measurements I had when I was 18. From the inside looking out I still feel the same as I did 10, 20 or 30 years ago, then I look in a mirror and see all those extra laughter lines and the ash blonde hi-lights that are starting to turn into an allover hair colour.

Ive never had a problem with a punt untill last week, I arranged a meeting with a girl who is starting to become a regular, It didnt get off to a very good start, she was a half hour late, she had been out shopping and her bus back was late. I nearly canceled but as she is a good girl I decided to carry on but my expectations weren't high. How right I was not to cancel, how wrong I was with expectations, wow what an hour, I now know what a straw feels like in a hurricane or a coracle caught in a tempestuous sea, the hour finished with me slightly bewildered but with a big smile on my face, the girl had an equally large smile on her face. I dont think I can claim any credit for that hour, I think I caught the girl in a very good mood and at just the right time in her cycle, plus I think she was trying to make up for being late, I told you she was a good girl. That was a great day but it ended with me going to bed and then waking to a new day, not so good, my body was protesting about the good times the day before, my knee and back were worst but my hips, shoulders and neck didnt want to be left out and kept sending me messages of complaint. I was moving round like a cripple for the rest of the day and still nearly a week later my back is still playing up. I really enjoyed that punt but I dont know if my body could stand another one like it, my body is telling me Im not a young man any more so take it easy.

Anyone else feeling time is holding them back, what were the circumstances.

I know what you mean - years of contact sports have taken their toll on my body.

However, even though I would have scoffed at the idea in my 20's, yoga as part of an excercise program does wonders. The slow stretches and balancing certainly helps with old injuries and keep joints mobile

I'm in my mid 50s and yes time does dislocate your desiers and your capacity to act on them. But from what you hinted at, sounds like she'd have destroyed a younger man too.

Just tossing an unresearched observation into the community. My fitness guru says that men over 40 are way fitter than those under 25. The modern youngsters are used to no sport, office jobs and sitting at computer games for hours. They may be lean and sleek, but it's all flab.

Get yourself a massage, drink a beer and get round to the cosmetic surgeon to get that grin removed from you face you lucky bugger

Maybe it's just sign your body needs some maintenance - some physio perhaps? I had a lot of tension and stiffness in my body plus back/shoulder/neck pains etc and there was a period when sex could be a bit uncomfortable. A course of physio and getting back to the gym helped a lot.

Time may have caught up with me...but darn if I will let it pass me. I may not go at it as vigorously as ten years (okay, maybe 20 yrs ago), but I do shy away from the more athletically demanding positions. More fore play and more after play.

At 63 having been punting for the last 9 years I find I'm still enjoying the matter greatly. The ladies, even the younger ones, seem to enjoy the older blokes even though they wouldn't give them a second glance in the street. For my part I find that I take much longer to cum than when I was younger which is a bonus in my book.

True, some positions are more demanding these days but frankly I've never been into sexual atletics. Keeping reasonably fit, a healthy diet and moderation over achohol will prolong the libido and the performance I think.

So onwards and upwards Jonnybgood.

At this moment in my life I have no desire whatsoever to punt and to the latter part of my punting 'adventure' I was just going through the motions. The buzz of it all slowly dissipated and It's the good old fashion friend and lover I desire. I am fanatical about getting in shape and keeping fit and healthy so I seem to have replaced one energy with another.

I'm seeing somebody at the moment so I'm in that self-conscious mode. All I want after the gym is a damn good massage and pie and chips. I'm sure the fad will soon wear off.

Obvious solution - do it more. Like everything else, use it or lose it. You will quickly notice the improvement.

As an over 60 I have a few tips for keeping punting fit. I work out 3 or 4 times a week and exercise makes you horny- it does it for me and I have also read that it builds up your immune system and is anti cancer and anti stress. By exercise I mean hard exercise raising your pulse to 140+ for 40 minutes minimum 3 or 4 times per week-I have been exercising hard since I was in my 20s but definitely not a good idea to launch straight in if you have been inactive for years.Second tip is to watch alcohol intake- it has a distinct effect on your libido - I am not talking about brewer's droop which we all know about but daily alcohol intake of only one or two units every day affects an older man's abilty to maintain an erection and heavier intake results in a loss of desire. If you have erection problems go and see your GP he or she will prescribe Viagra or equivalent, which does work and will be the real thing not some dodgy chemical made in India and dyed blue.

So how much are you going to lend me so I can upgrade my 'hobby'. :) I have two regular girls, one is 10 mins. drive away and costs £120/hr., she is the one this post is about. She is the risky option because of her proximity, Ive been spotted bumping into her once allready. The other girl costs £200/hr. but is up in London, which is over 2hours away by train and tube, but she is definitely worth it otherwise she wouldnt be a regular. Im willing to shop around if you want to sub me and if any lady is handing out free samples just let me know. ;)
