Reasons For Visiting Milton Keynes

24 posts in this topic

Hello every :P

I just wondered what reasons people have had for visiting different areas for their hobby?

I have been meaning to get my self out and around Milton Keynes to see the sights for ages, yesterday I went back to the dentist for my third bout of root canal treatment after about an hour and half she announced that my curves were too much for her and I would have to be referred to a specialist dentist located in yes you guessed it Milton Keynes, but i have to wait for a month before they can do this and then its going to take 2-3 months before i get an appointment :P

The Jaipur is, I believe, the largest purpose-built Indian restaurant in the country. I actually preferred it in its old location near the train station.

Lots of lovely ladies in MK in my opinion - have taken the short journey north, by the somewhat inappropriately named Virgin Trains, quite a few times - never been disappointed (but then I do my homework first).

Generally I have arranged visits to other parts of the country (north of MK) and have the choice of two motorways to get back down south. MK is a perfect stop for me....

Well, I dont need an eexcuse to visit MK as I live there :P

But have punted in other parts of the country (Usually London). Usually went specifically for the punt thou but sometimes went due to business reasons (Training courses, business meetings, and needing to stay overnight).

Sometimes the punts been scuppered cos someone else from work popped up wanting to join me and had to cancel as its been too risky.

But sometimes made an excuse to arrive a day ealier or day later (seeing friends, etc ) so just paid an extra night just to sneak in the punt that extra day. And since room and travel was paid for by work anyway it wasnt too much hassle. :D

Yep, ski lessons at Xscape could be a good cover. If you can ski already, then snowboard lessons might work.

How far are the parlours/flats from Xscape?

I used to in-frequent that cafe for breakfasts as it was quite local to me in the past, but never ever did any trannys work there - they would have been burned at the stake in that village!! Dont know where you got that info from, unless you are thinking of the one of similar namer in Northampton Town which does seem more likely due to their huge gay scene. ;)

Plus that cafe is not in MK - its in South Northants, and I got food poisening from it years ago so dont bother going !!

Root canal work is not a nice memory for me - had 2 years of treatment and pain > eventually said sod it and had it removed !

Never had so many colds and infections in my life ! life was a lot better afterwards-- thankfully... ;)

Doubt you'll feel much like punting though - after your treatment ! :o

Yes from what i understand it is meant to be painful but i only experienced a limited amount of pain on my 1st visit when she removed most of the nerves after which i haven't felt anything really just the discomfort and after effects of the numbing injection.

punt first then.......

that was the plan.

I think this is the reason for most people's choice where MK is concerned, it's a convenient stop-off. It's just a pity they shut up shop by 8pm with some not even bothering to open at the weekend. Still, at least they know their strengths and concede to their weaknesses accordingly.

For me, it has to be London with its rich and diverse selection of service providers on hand 24/7 and sharing in excess of 8000 FRs for central London alone.
