Split Condom

23 posts in this topic

I was with an escort that I see regularly and after cumming inside her (she was on top so kinda tricky to pull out) she gets off me and starts taking the condom off, she looks in horror to see that it is has a little split down the side... I fucking freak out, she goes to the toilet to see if there is any cum is inside her, she can't find any but that's barely the point...

She tries to calm me down by saying that she only has protected sex with clients and sees no one outside of work... She then starts interrogating me about my sex life; I say the truth in that I have only been having sex with her and the last girl I slept with was protected with my ex-girlfriend...

I'm absolutely petrified that I might have an STD, I know she said to me that she always uses protection but I just can't take her word for it...

Plus now I've got to lie to my employer to get the morning off to go the clinic.

Has this ever happened to anyone of you guys before?

I've not being seeing escorts for that long but I feel like I've been playing with fire and I might have really burnt my fingers.

It has to me and your doing the right thing by going to the GUM. You can only ever concentrate on your own sexual health, as you have no way of knowing for sure what others get up to.

Of course its worrying but you would be very unlucky to have caught anything which is what the GUM Doctor said to me. I was negative. I hope you get the same negative result. :)

Likewise, happened to me eons ago. Go to the GUM and be careful until you get the results. With all due respect to Durex, Mates, etc, this probably happens from time-to-time (hesitated to say "often") given the amount of punts that we are talking about. Any WGs care to comment?

A little off-topic, but how many WG punts do you think take place each day in the UK (I've no idea)? The reason I ask is that this situation is probably 0.001%, if that.

I would say that the transfer of any fluids/bugs would be from the higher pressure in the condom to the ladies vagina and not the other way around. Million to one chance, but if you can go the GUM clinic then I;d go.

I used Durex when I first started escorting and had two split on me in the first few months which was a bit scary as you think the worst. Another WG told me to get Mates Naturals and I have never had one split on me again. Always advisable to use a bit of lube as often the friction can cause the split.

Why the hell do you see escorts, if you assuming that they going to give you an STD, if the accident will happen?

Do run in the Gym Clinic and check yourself of course, give it a week at least though, as some STDs tests would not show straight away.

Still: typical of the posters here. No any concern for a girl. She now need to dash to the clinic herself to get checked, then she need dose herself with Lenovelle (to avoid pregnancy), then she might feel sick after it for a next week, so would not be able to work for all this time, and losing an income. To top it up: she got some paranoid client, whom she tried her best to assure in vain. I bet she only got hundred or so ££ for her troubles. I feel so sorry for her. Poor girl.

Freaking out over a split condom is just melodramatic, you need to a get a bloody grip on reality.

The risk is small, the fact that she is using a condom and her reaction tell you that she takes sexual health seriously. In practice because w/g and punters routinely practice safe sex herd immunity theory kicks any chains of infection will be very short compared to the general public who don't routinely practice safe sex.

Yes go to the Gum clinic but you don't need to panic about it and your employer only needs to know you need to visit the Doctor.

Frankly I'm inclined to think you have some underlying issues you need to resolve before you resume.

I had a split condom yesterday in a Soho walkup, not noticed until the final point :( :(

What freaked me out was the girl was so relaxed, she just said "don't worry about it" , said she had test results from two weeks ago and was clear, not had a split since then and now will go and get tested again.

Now what freaked me out , is that she wasn't freaked out - but was very calm and said don't worry , i've got certificates to show I am clean and will get tested again, so if you know your clean don't worry about it.

I am naturally worrying and have booked into GUM clinic tomorrow.

Browsing the boards though there must be lots of clients & girls who's had split condoms and I can't see a single post saying "I caught x,y or z"

I remember reading once that someone said the safest girl in Amsterdam to have a split condom with is a prostitute due to all the health tests , are our girls of soho the same ?

No point in a GUM appointment tomorrow, as most if not all infections will not have had chance to show up by then. Check online for incubation periods of the various STIs.

What would you have liked her to do, run around the bedroom screaming her head off, swearing at you and telling you to leave immediately? She was probably mortified, but doing the job we do we are used to dealing with various things. It's happened, you'll get tested, she'll get tested . . would you be so bothered if it was your girlfriend, who might have slept with her last few boyfriends without using a condom?

Exactly what others have said. However, you have to wait at least 2 weeks (its not 1) for STI's to show up in the results if you do have anything. Syphilis and HIV require at least 3 months, ive read someone on here say its 6 months but the health clinics ive been to have advised 3 months.

Id be more worried about her getting pregnant, probably most WG's are on birth control + use condoms, but some use only condoms.

When i had a condom split on me, there was no split as such, i just pulled out laid back, as soon as it touched my leg i felt the difference... looked down to notice the condom was shriveled up at the base near the groin. She said she was on the pill, but turned out she wasnt taking the pill as often as she should have. So now im helping her pay support for our daughter, i could say its her own fault but at the end of the day as they say it takes 2 to tango.

Sorry to hear about this. :) You can only look after your own sexual health, certificates and the WG saying she is clean are not proof and shouldnt be taken as such in my opinion.

My advice is ring or go into a GUM and explain the situation, they will give you the best advice.

Which are for people who are at a reasonable risk of catching HIV, judging from the situation explained he certainly isn't. Pep is not only a very expensive drug but one which makes you ill for the month you need to take it. Even if he were to request it I doubt very much they would oblidge.

I totally understand you being worried, but this is an occupational hazard that us punters and the WGs we visit must face. I have never had a split condom myself, but i once saw a lady whose VERY prolonged enjoyment of the act caused her pussy muscles to "suck" the condom right off me (as i write this, i realise it sounds like a shaggy dog story, but it is true, i promise). You should have seen my face (and hers) when i pulled out and there was no condom in sight. Fortunately, i hadn't cum, but the poor lady had to go fishing for the damned thing way up inside her !!! Both of us were very mature about it, discussed our sexual history and recent test results and agreed to keep each other informed of the next test. I took a month off punting and the tests came back clear. It's simply one of those things that you have to get through. The chances you have caught something incurable are tiny, but i won't pretend I didn't breathe the hugest sigh of relief when that set of tests came in all clear !!!! Best of luck.

P.S. If you carry on with this hobby you should really get used to taking time off to visit the GUM clinic. Regardless of scares and or lack of symptoms, it is good practice to visit every 3 to 6 months for a check up, even if all you get from it is peace of mind.

Is this a joke? Which drug is this? Do you mean a drug that can prevent pregnancy in the first 72 hours?

No he means PEP, which is Post Exposure Prophylaxis. If taken very quickly after exposure to HIV it can reduce your chances of becoming HIV+. You're not going to be given it on request, as far as I know they really need to see evidence that you've been exposed, a split condom with someone who you've no real reason to believe is HIV+ is probably not going to get you the drugs. But a split condom with an partner you know to be HIV+ will. The drugs have quite nasty side effects too, it's fair to say you'll be off work for the week.

Well so far, clear.

Got tested day after for everything, all clear

5 weeks after , tested for everything all clear.

Now just the 12 week test to go for final syphilis and HIV test and hopefully all behind me.

Clinic staff were very professional , not judgemental and even the stick down your old man does not hurt that much - so guys if you punting like others have said and I now realise go down there regular. Nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Exactly this. I've had occasional condom splits with clients and although I was obviously upset I acted calm because the last thing they need is panic and drama. I told them when my last all clear test result was (and reassured that I don't do unprotected penetration with anyone, and OWO only with my husband) but even if it was very recent made it clear that nothing is guaranteed and I could have picked something up since and they should get tested in a couple of weeks time. That's responsible - running about screaming and crying is not going to make me any less likely to have caught something, nor is it going to make either of us feel better.

Quite. It is a one off accident. There is only a problem is one party had an infection in the first place, which is statistically unlikely, especially if both normally have protected sex with all their other partners.

punter992005 is absolutely correct re. post-exposure prophylaxis; it is long and unpleasant. It might be given to a nurse who'd just stabbed her finger on a needle just used to draw blood from an HIV patient or to someone who had a condom break whilst being the receptive partner in anal sex with someone KNOWN to be infected; it wouldn't be given to someone who'd had a condom break during vaginal sex with a WG---- the statistical odds of HIV infection are less than 1 in million.
