Plenty of FR's refer to them so they must exist. Would it be worth searching them and asking the ladies directly?

If it's for the purpose of working, just be careful to check on security. Whilst anybody can come and go (?) in many busy hotels, some need the door card to operate the lift.

The Cumberland at Marble Arch always had the reputation of being, shall I say, "open"!

If I am in London, I always prefer serviced apartments to hotels; spacious, discreet and usually less expensive.

Don't they normally have a front desk?

I know Ibis at Earls Court can be accessed without going to reception and no keycard needed but might be a little too far out for the O/P

When I went with my lady on tour we usually used the Rembrandt Knightsbridge, not far from Kensington. Nearly 200 rooms and a large busy reception area, excellent breakfast and swimming pool. http://www.sarova.com/rembrandt/

Think Apartments ain't hotels, and not in Bayswater area, but they fit every other requirement needed - and more. Just search for them on Google.

Try Spitalfields residence apartments. Yes, they got a security person sitting in a little room playing about on his computer watching porn. He will never help you with your bags, couldn't care less what is going on and will just issue you with a key card (but never bother buzzing you in unless you are buzzing for ages). All the same apartments are spacious, modern and clean.

I also arranged a meet with a WG who had booked herself into the Marlin Apartments in Empire square that seemed very nice. Not sure if that is a bit out of area for the op though.
