I'm 24, not fat, but I am really unfit. So when I am with a girl, sometimes I just can't last very long (stamina-wise, not the other lasting long!)

I find it really embarrassing, and I know I should go to a gym and work out but does anyone else have the same problem with a WG? And if there's a way of getting round the problem so that my self and the girl can enjoy the session.

Any advice helpful! Thanks guys. I really like these boards, I don't feel like such an outcast! I'm not the worst looking guy in the world and not overweight but I just cannot get a girlfriend, so escorts are a good alternative.

start doing simple stuff

1. use the stairs at work not the lift

2. park a short distance away from your destination and walk the rest. or get off thbe bus a top early.

3. dont think of excuses for going upstairs. just go.

4. at lunchtimes go for a 10 minute walk

simp,e stuff like that will soon start you getting fitter, and cheaper than the gym.

Thanks. I do actually do all that already. I meant is there a way of getting round poor stamina for a punt?

Getting fit can be a daunting prospect. The simple act of joining a gym is a big problem for some. I know of many people who join the gym and then don't have the courage to go and train.

I would suggest a home gym first and when your confidence increases join one of the national gym chains.

Although I am a regular gym-goer I still have some kit at home as cover for the days when I'm too busy to get out.

My home kit comprises of:

1. A set of resistance tubes(Reebok) http://www.dietandfitnessresources.co.uk/home_gym/reebok_resistance_tubes.htm

2. A set of variable dumbells (Bowflex) http://www.bowflexdumbbells.org.uk/bowflex-21-prices.html

3. A set of push up grips (Nike) available at Argos

4. A swiss ball

With this kit, and a range of bodyweight excercises I can do a full body workout in 45 minutes. If you've time, go for a brisk walk or jog for 30 minutes to look after the cardio side.

After a few weeks you'll feel and see a change in your body shape. This will lead on to more confidence, you'll be able to go to the gym knowing you won't look out of place.

Your aerobic fitness will improve, your body shape will look more athletic and the girls will notice you more.

Good luck and persevere.

I suggest you think about taking up running; it's cheaper than just about any other sport/exercise, it gets you fit in no time at all, you can do as much or as little as you want to suit how much time you have available and you'll be surprised how it will improve your ability to do virtually anything that requires some physical effort, particularly stamina. Just make sure you start off slowly or you'll make yourself sick or hurt yourself - and have a plan, a goal. A local 10k race is a good one to start with. Obviously you won't enter to be competetive (for now), just to complete it whilst having a bit of fun and maybe raising some sponsorship for a local good cause (great motivation). Give yourself about 3 months to train for it and you'll be able to run it non-stop and in a reasonable time. And enjoy it.

Yes, it's a problem for me, but then I'm nearly 60.

I lost around 12 kilos recently, which was around one eighth of my previous body weight. The effect was certainly noticeable in some areas of life - I could actually sprint for the bus again, but I don't seem to be any more vigorous in my fucking. Very disappointing.

All the above is good advice but the thing that worked for me was taking up cycling. Get a decent bike (around £150, or the price of a good punt) will buy a good machine. There are plenty of cycle tracks all over the place. Start with just 3 or 4 miles and gently build it up. It doesn't stress your knees like running and before you know it you will be doing 18 or 20 miles before lunch.

Good luck.

Yes, great advice, I love cycling too. Combine it with running for effective cross-training.

The cardio advice is excellent, but the act of making love requires strong arm, shoulder and core muscles as well as flexibility

Yes, the cardio is essential but don't forget to work the upper body and to stretch.

Do push ups - I do sets of 50, the plank for 60 seconds for the core, swiss ball crunches and deep body weight squats. Add lunges and some yoga stretches and you'll be fine.

I am, and always have been a fan of swimming, downside is that it makes you eat more,so its not much good if you want to lose weight. Famous shaggers like Lord Byron and Maupassant were keen on the sport, and called it, fornicant avec les ondes, which is french for fucking the waves. Running in my opinion, is a waste of time, and leads to long term health probs, there is a link between cycling and impotence. I do loads of sit-ups and press-ups, I personally have no interest in increasing my sexual stamina, 4 mins, is good enough for me. Most girls, commercial or not, arent that keen on a session lasting ages.

Yes agreed, you need a good all round fitness to achieve a balanced body. You'd be surprised though at how much cycling tones up the arms and shoulders too (supporting your weight on the handlebars for hours at a time, pulling back on the bars when fast hill climbing) and also how it tones up the stomach muscles.

Another way to look at it is that as you are paying for it, the woman should be working more than you.

Choose positions that take less effort on your part until whatever exercise regime you choose makes a difference.

Years ago I used to watch this TV programme about this man who was really wimpy.

But when he ate spinach he would gain strength and muscles. Maybe you should give that a try.

I think his name was Popeye, or something.

Yes, expect to pay at least £65 - £75, and you'll need a new pair every few months. You can spend a fortune on hightech clothing but you really don't need to; a couple of pairs of shorts at £15 a go and a couple of tops at £20 a go and they'll last years. For winter a windproof/waterproof jacket (say £120) is all you need. So total outlay for a year's running is 2 pairs of shoes, say £150, shorts and tops, say £70, and a jacket £120 - total £340, less than £1 a day. Believe me that's cheap; I just bought new wheels for my bike and they cost me £300.

When i first started punting, as i hadnt got laid in a few years in which time i became quite unfit, i found that when i was shagging id get tired - mostly out of breath very easily, the sweat was boiling out of me which made me feel sorry for the WG, i had to ask her to go on top while i rested.

So then it made me determined to get fit again, as i LOVE having sex for ages. I joined a gym, lost over a stone in actual fat, my muscles had toned up with a bit of a bulk appearance look. Now im even able to continue doing her after ive cum... thats where the viagra comes in lol - what can i say, i want my money's worth from her :P

Yes, you're right, I find most postions are OK for me, just missionary, where you're up on your arms supporting yourself whilst you're pumping.

Can't do that for too long as my arms/shoulders ache,I end up lying on the girl and carring on, they've not said anything yet but, I don't know how they can take a mans weight lying on them and pumping away!

Good point!

Im only 14 stone, 6ft tall. When im on top, most of the time i think im supporting half/most of my weight with arms and legs. Its when i cum (missionary) that my body goes all weak and tired that i drop all my weight on her and even then i dont get off for a few to several minutes while im softening inside and kissing her. Its like how can women support all that weight, particularly women with size 8-10 torso's they have such small frames compared to most men.

I don't think some of the advice, however well intentioned, is the best here.

1 - Before anyone who is overweight or obese takes up any major exercise plan, they should seek medical advice.

2 - If the gent involved is doing the basics of everyday life and not losing weight, he should firstly review his diet. No matter what exercise routine you have, if your diet is poor, you will not see great changes.

3 - Before doing any resistance work (e.g. weights) he should focus on reducing his body fat via cardio. I'd suggest running will be too high impact on his joints to be comfortable or realistic. Cycling would be better for the joints, but mainly choose some activity he thinks he would like. The name of the game is then start slow and steady and be dedicated.

4 - I've never been one to recommend gyms as such. Firstly they are expensive. Yes there are pros and cons, but you will actually burn more calories doing external cardio over inside a gym. In addition, I don't see why if you have a space in your house/garage and some weights doing free weight compound work at a gym would be any better? Personally I feel you can target all muscle groups with free weights at home, rather than using machine work.

5 - Everyone should set relaistic goals, be it weight loss or exercise targets. Keep feedback and be prepared to give it a few months to start to see progress.

There's no quick fix that is going to transform you into a punting superhuman in 24 hours. Maybe just ask her to do lots of cowgirl :D .

BTW, if you feel like that at 24, what are you going to be like at 44 ? Lots of good advice on here about getting fit. Pick the types that appeal to you and give it a go.

I followed the P90x program and great results very quickly. 1 hour per day, 6 days per week. Can be hard going at times, but it works, and it works well.

Some very inspirational you tube videos available:

2. A set of variable dumbells (Bowflex) http://www.bowflexdumbbells.org.uk/bowflex-21-prices.html

Wow! They are great. Not cheap, but great.

I assume you didnt read the OPs post because if you had you would of seen he said he isnt fat or overweight. If unfit i agree its wise to see a Doctor before embarking on rigorous exercise.

I read the OPs post as a request for information asking if anyone knows how to increase stamina before a punt he had booked for today, so he was after a quick way of increasing his stamina, as Northwinds said there is no quick fix, adrenaline is what kicks in with me which certainly helps.
