Is Being Politically Correct Now Accepted In The Punting Scene?

10 posts in this topic

I hope so myself. I remember there used to be a Yahoo group about working girls that was removed because of being offensive. The stuff was really bad not just called women whores but alot worser. I think we should treat everyone in a PC way not just people in the sex industry.

P.S. If any ladies here like what I have written will I get a discount?

When people say "politically correct" often what they actually mean is respectful and polite.

The problem with dressing things up in fancy language is that it hides uncomfortable truths.

In this place prostitutes are called service providers. It kinda hides the truth that they're doing sex for money and that we're paying a woman for sex.

Wh0re is a more derogatory word for the same thing, but still accurate. Only thing is the phrase cheap wh0re can't be used around here lol

Us men get called clients, again legitimising what we do. Funnily, there seems to be no word for the man that carries the same stigma as prostitute or wh0re.

I agree with showing people respect, in this and every area of life, but let's not pretend about it.

Regards,

Mike

There was a widely used term in London at least, a "john" which i was often referred to as in the 80s.

Some punters require paying a WG for sex to be dressed up, like virtually all punters they are after sexual contact but i assume it makes them feel better about the transaction. WGs are prepared to facilitate this and charge accordingly, and good luck to them, kerching.

Being respectful is a basic in punting and PC has nothing to do with that, a guy either is respectful or he isnt.

What I find odd is that quite a few times men have got upset when I’ve called myself a prostitute or say I work in prostitution. They say “Oh, don’t say that, you’re not a prostitute” . Err, yes I am  . It seems strange that I’m not even allowed to be non-PC to myself

P.S. If any ladies here like what I have written will I get a discount?

Nope. As a billionaire you don’t qualify for discounts :P

Who's pretending ?

I pay women for sex and am not at all uncomfortable with this fact, nor do I pretend, nor try and kid myself, that its anything other than 'paying women for sex'

I dont refer to the women I pay as 'whores' because the word is so often used as an insult

'Prostitute' has a clinical/judicial ring to it so I rarely use that word either

While used in a dispassionate sense, the words prostitute and whore are accurate descriptions, 'service provider', 'wg' or 'escort' are more polite monikers for the same job description and more or less free of the derogatory and/or negative connotations often associated with the former words.

Punter is how i describe myself so i find that very easy on the ear, its the perfect description in my opinion.

The way we have gone uber-PC in this country is complete and utter bollocks IMO....

I find it strange the way some here get defensive of labels and titles. Lets face it, punters are just men who pay Hookers for sex.

Its no big deal to most of us and I suspect that most here do not consider themselves to be 'dirty old men' or 'whores' and actually enjoy what they do.

Punting is not a cheap hobby and its certainly not for everyone. Selling your body can be lucrative but again its not for everyone.

Does it really matter what the wider world cares to label sex workers and their customers. We are all doing what we want to do so who cares anyway.

It matters not to me what people think, and I am happy to label myself a punter and call the girls WGs or Hookers. B)

As long as we all feel good doing what we do does it really matter what anyone else thinks anyway?:)
