Cruises - One For The Ladies

19 posts in this topic

I have just returned from a cruise of the Canary Islands and was wondering whether any of you ladies have worked on a cruise ship? There were plenty of single blokes of all ages on the cruise as well as the ships crew and officers. I could imagine that advertising would be a problem although every day the cruise ship organised get togethers for the singletons. Flutter your eye lashes and who knows!!

Alternatively what would you say if one of your "regulars" offered to take you on a cruise (at his expense of course). It would have to be someone you get on well with because you would of necessity have to spend a lot of time together. Would you charge for your time or would you regard a free cruise as sufficient? Pricewise a flight to say New York and 5 days back on the Queen Mary 2 to Southampton would cost something in the region of £1,600 each. It may be of course that some of you have already accepted such a holiday or something similar from a regular client. I would like to learn your views on this. I'm afraid that I can't make any of you ladies such an offer; I would probably bore you to death and, in any event, 'er in doors might object :):)

I think going away with a WG on a cruise would be a terrible idea! Even the Queen Mary 2 is just too small to get away from the person you're on board with. When you're at sea there is just no where you can run away to for some private time by yourself. I don't care how well you think you get along with them, you can only spend so long hiding in the gym, pool or sauna!

But for guys that like girls from Asia and the far east, it is a good way to be surrounded by them!

I've always fancied going on a cruise!

But no, just being paid for would most likely not suffice - you have to consider the lost income. It would be like me using my earnings to go on a cruise and If I could afford to do that I could go with a friend of my choice rather than a client!

I thought there were wg's on cruises and the staff knew who they were so they could direct clients to them, for a consideration, of course! might be wrong tho

A cruise is my idea of hell whether punting or not, i need to be able to get about and wouldnt like being confined to one place however big the ship maybe. Even if the cruise organisers paid me i wouldnt be in the slighest interested.

I agree, I went on a Caribbean cruise a few years ago, and was told I would be eating at the Captain's table. All that bloody money and I had to eat with the crew. :P

Can't think of anything worse and very doubtful any WG would go away for free! She may offer you a sizeable discount, ie one of my regulars charges £1500 for a long overnight but will go away for a week for £1000 a day as long as her long haul ticket is BA business class, so you can add a couple of grand on for that as well. I estimate she probably holidays two weeks a month. Not bad work if you can get it!

As a person who loves his food I really enjoy cruises. My favourite ship is the Queen Mary 2. Absolutely 5 star treatment and very relaxing - like a floating top grade Hotel really. I did the transatlantic crossing to New York (there and back) about 3 years ago with Mrs. Old Jack and loved every minute of it. I didn't feel confined in any way as there is always so much to do and the evening entertainment was simply spectacular. Saw Rod Stewart at the Casino on board with his latest squeeze. He weas very friendly & enjoyed talking about football in particular. She towered above him by at least 4 inches!!

I would have thought that any W.G. would be only too pleased to be treated to 10 days or so on the Q.M.2. with a client she got on with without requiring further payment; how wrong can you be :o

Hiya. I would love to go on a Cruise with any fine gent. I would however, have to have my costs met. Thats the problem isnt it? I am sure that it could be negotiated with the WG of your choice though.

The problem with WG working on board a cruise ship, approved by the crew is one of distinct legalities. Along with of course the reputation of the cruise company itself.

If we are talking about holidaying with a client, then it would have to be someone you do get along with, and a holiday the WG would take anyway, along with the same freedoms and choices. A holiday is only worth it's actual cost to the person choosing it. Remember a WG also doesn't receive holiday pay, and may already have planned personal holidays away. I suppose one way of looking at it would be to say to any gent on here - would you go abroad and provide your services for free(whatever line of work you are in) for your employer, just because it was to a destination you'd always wanted to visit?

On the occasions when I am asked to accompany a client on holidays, I do have a very reasonable fee for my attentions but this have never been taken up yet.

One thing to note is that for most holidays, taking along a partner generally doesn't cost that much extra. Certainly not double the holiday cost.

Why would any man think that paying for the ladies holiday means she would waive her fee. Jeez grow up guys, four days away from from friends and family with some bloke is four days with some bloke irrelevant of where you are or who you are.

Katie March a WG I know quite well, has been to several outcalls in Calais and Lille on Eurostar and week long holidays in Orlando and San Fransisco with regulars. She does this at very modest cost and this can only be because she likes to travel. Even in the UK she goes on overnights 3 or 4 hours away from her Peterborough home.

If you lived in Peterborough, would you not want to travel????

I agree with most of what you say Strawberry. Obviously you and the client must get on well and could possibly discuss what sort of holiday and where you would want to go. On cruises the cost would be double the normal holiday cost at least bearing in mind that the cost of wine at the evening meal is generally quite high and, of course, there is the question of tips to all concerned, not only your waiter but also the staff who look after your cabin. I would think that ladies like you would probably love a cruise on the Q.M.2, provided, of course, that you and the client get on very well and he is a regular. It appears that none of the ladies on this forum have been on a cruise with a client; at least, if they have, they have kept quiet :):)

given the grotesque gender inbalance on the average cruise, it might be one of the few times a male escort had any female customers. A guy I once worked with, was employed as a dance partner on cruise ships. Not enough enough blokes, you see. I dont imagine many girls would fancy going on holiday with a customer, 24/7 with someone who takes too long to tell a story, that you have already heard, or who claps his hands above his head and sings the chorus while dancing.

I did go on holiday to Spain with a punter and did wave my fee, but that was mostly because I genuinly loved spending time with him. More than my boyfriend at the time infact. It was really fun, especially the water slide park. :)
