Hello and Reverse Oral?

Hello Everyone,

I'm sorry to burst it your community, but I was wandering if any of you could clarify something for me.

During a random conversation my boyfriend used the term "reverse oral" and then acted very weird when asked about it. So I googled it and ended up (among other places that have bought me a couple of years of therapy...) here.

Is this term widely use in the prostitution world and is confined to it?

As you can understand that...would not be good.

Thank you for your help,

Julia

PS: I've flipped through your reviews and, aside from the additional years of therapy and the fact that I will now never have sex again, I have to say some of you are incredibly hilarious writers.

In a way, you have come to the wrong place, because I guess you want to hear that the term is used in other fields, and everyone here is to some extent familiar with the world of prostitution and so would not notice RO appearing elsewhere. But I would say that I first encountered this term in parlours, where they need to have a term for it so they can charge extra, and I suppose they use their own terms so that Joe Public is not quite sure what they said if he stumbles in by mistake. So yes, it is quite widely used in parlours and on prostitutes web-sites.

I'm sorry if this upsets you, Julia, but you did ask.

I don't get it. You suspect your boyfriend had been using prostitutes and you need years of therapy to get over it??? Why?

Most men are slags. If they are not paying for it, behind your back, they are probably getting it somewhere for free. Wake up and smell the coffee.

 and :D What a wonderful and humorous last paragraph to a opening post that shows mild pain.

Reverse Oral is just another term for Cunnilingus. It's just more spellable!

Either term leave a great taste in my mouth, if I'm lucky!

Welcome Julia,

I had not come across the term before I started lurking around this scene. I therefore believe that it is essentially a term used by prostitutes and those that use their services.

However, you should not assume that your boyfriend uses prostitutes. I lurked around the scene for a few years before I participated and I imagine that many lurkers never participate. I hope that this helps you.

Dear Julia,

Hopefully not only did he mention it, he thoroughly applied it to you and is experienced enough that you enjoyed it :D

I sincerely hope that you would not need therapy from anything you find here, the Internet though is another ball game and initiating a search for just about anything is asking for trouble  Because women are so different from each other I have learned a lot about sex from the variety offered by escorts and would only know a fraction of that if I had been confined to one or two marriages or long term girlfriends.

A guy can learn more about pleasing women in a year visiting prostitutes than in a life time of conventional partnerships if he does want to learn. Some people find it difficult to pronounce cunnilingus BTW and reverse oral is more commonly used I would guess so perhaps your boyfriend is one of the small percentage of guys that never visit escorts and feels cunnilingus is too clinical a word?

Good advice

What happened to innocent until proved guilty...? I bit strong given the way the OP was written.

BTW don't take any notice of OldGirlOnTheBlock, she is just embittered after years of being used. The majority of young escorts are really sweet. Still if you do want to learn about men, then some time spent as an escort could prove truly enlightening for yourself. I do think most escorts end up with a jaundiced view of men if they stick with it long enough whereas I think most men get to admire and appreciate women even more after a lifetime of visiting prostitutes.

I do love her byline though a longer version of beauty baffles brains.

Surely he could have seen prostitutes before he met you?

Or, just been interested before he met you and had a look around, picked up the term?

Or, learnt it chatting with mates?

Seems a bit silly to worry yourself over something which could easily have so many innocent explainations.

Julia, come on. Your BF is a man and if he has a pulse, he will have taken an occasional peek on various sites with porn and/or discussion of adult services like this one. It would be abnormal not to.

Has he seen a prostitute? Has he been cheating on you? Maybe. Maybe not.

I know of Cocaine but wouldn't touch the stuff.

You should give him the benefit of a doubt and live up to realities. If you challenge him, he can only say No and Never, and you won't be any wiser. If you withdraw from sex in disgust - then your fears will fulfill themselves for sure.

I wouldn't make any conclusions based on a phrase he's used. It's easy to pick up a phrases from simply reading on a subject matter. For example I know a number of medical terms, and will use them if the conversation requires, but that doesn't mean I've ever been a doctor.

The one thing I can say for certain is that posting here is not going to resolve your issue one way or the other.

A big thank you to whoever logs on and takes the time to write such amusing wind-ups. I rather thought this one was in the style of Catherine Tait. Nice one. :D

This "therapy" of which you post, may I enquire what form it took?

I hate to say it, but I'm with oldgirl on this one. I have never heard it outside of the escorting industry...I was on the phone to an escort couple (M+F) who are a fair bit older than I and they seem to think it is highly likely it was picked up in this context.

However, as someone pointed out, he may have just been lurking or contemplating seeing an escort...or perhaps it is a past life? Either way (and I'm sorry to sound so cynical) men will be men.

men will be men.

And in your line of business, it is just as well that they are.

When he acted weired do you mean he mentioned RO then went upstairs

and returned wearing a divers mask and flippers rubber gloves and a feather duster shouting tickle my arse with a feather you boring troll or something similar :D

Also can you remember what the random conversation was about as that could have a bearing on the use of the term.

Always happy to help a fellow Troll:D:D

I can't imagine it's used outside the world of prostitution, and even there only on lists of services, and perhaps in punters' reports of what is and is not available. I don't think I've ever used it or heard it talking to a lady.

So I'm intrigued to know how your conversation went, as it seems such a non-conversational phrase. It would be like introducing any form of technical jargon, like 'hereafter known as the vendor' or 'the full rate will apply'.

So I suppose lovely young scarlett is embittered as well is she :D

How many men on here do you reckon are married or have girlfriends?

Honey, I don't have a problem with men being the way they are. In fact I am now better off knowing what they are like and accepting it as part of their make up.

I feel the same way, although young, I feel like I've accepted than men and women are biologically programmed in different ways and for the most part - given other 'options' - monogamy is often impossible for men. That doesn't mean I don't like men, I just wouldn't expect one to share a bed with me and only me for the rest of their life...

I feel the same way. It's better to live in the belief that 'some' men really can't help it than beat yourself up about it and take it personally. That's what does the damage.
