I'm not entitely sure if this is the correct place to post this, so apologies if not- I'm hoping this will trigger some general discussion as much as offer me and other WGs advice and maybe tips for punters.

I'm in the process of developing my website and whilst common sense tells me what should be there I was wondering what turns punters on or off when looking to choose a girl. What information do you like to see? I know location, prices, services etc should be there, and spelling and grammar should be correct but is there anything more subtle that helps you make a decision? Any bugbears or mistakes girls often make?

Ladies, any wisdom you'd like to impart?

Many thanks in advance, much appreciated.

Get your message across so it can be read easily. No silly gadgets to distract the eye. Not too much blurb. make it easy to negotiate, and have the galleries and the rates easy to access. Anything else you want to say can be there but on other pages.

Thanks Sarah, I have the rates and gallery on seperate pages so so far so good! Is tricky getting the balance between saying enough and 'selling' myself and not filling the pages with waffle!

Look at other ladies websites. See how they do it, and then find your own way of getting the same message across, but with your own individual slant. Really, you do not need to say much at all, but I love to talk.............................. :)

Dear London girl,

A nice galley with natural (i.e., not too professional) pictures, fees, location and a list of like/dislike are the first information I usually check out. If you can post face pics that's of course a BIG plus.

If you offer special services, try to make them appealing by displaying a nice picture. For instance, if you like your foot being worshipped, show a nice picture of them (yum yum !!!).

This is only my humble opinion. I really hope it will be useful.

Once your web page is ready, please post its url. Who knows, maybe I will fancy meeting you....

Kisses.

I've been told that music on sites puts people off. I've never personally used it, but can understand where they are coming from as it is distracting when I'e visited sites and am trying to read the info, and music is playing.

Hope all goes well with your site and that you enjoy doing it :)

A couple of internet relevant things.

1) Copyright your photos and site, you can do this by simply putting "Copyright - working name" on them with most photo editors. This provides a powerful tool to prevent their miss-use by others, unscrupulous journalists and scam sites.

2) Make your site search engine friendly, include relevant titles and text on each page, use words punter might use to search for you, like your location, name, escort and speciality. The text on your site should always be "text" not graphical images of text or flash text. You cannot use Google adwords so you need to generate what's called organic search results. Read about SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) but be extreme cautious about pay for SEO. Add a link to your site in your profile here (but don't spam the forum with the link which is against the rules). Agree mutual cross linking with other girls.

Oh pants- I knew there was something I'd miss *goes back to copywrite photos and put back up again* Thank you!

I plan on adding a link here once I'm done- so much for my original plans to remain anonymous on here, but I'm hoping the extra business will be worth it! (note to self- don't piss anyone else off on here!)

It's "Copyright", derived from the "limited rights to copy" not the writing the written word.

1. test your site on different web browsers. i test with internet explorer, firefox and chrome. they dont all work the same. play with the facility to change text size in the browser view window and make sure it doesnt spoil it.

2. not everyone has a state of the art pc. some browse on notebooks and phones so make sure they work there too.

3. make sure that when you click a thumbnail it expands to be big enough to see. moonfruit sites are especially annoying for this. we dont all have 20/20 vision still. 9Too much wanking?)

4. make sure your text is nice and contrasted with background. avoid white on black, or text over a noisy photo which is hard to read.

5. find an old fart to look at your site. if he can read and navigate it then its good.

one other thing

check out qr codes

these are bar codes you can put on your site

these can contain your phone number(s) web address and email address.

when a smart phone scans the barcode it can allow your details to be input straight into the phones address book saving time and possible keying errors.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QR_code

there are sites that can make your qr code for you free.

decent pics that show full lenght shots , prefer with face or at least a hint of face , no need for rude bits on show

contact details

list of do's and donts

minimal flashing tacky ads and pop ups

Your website should not only reflect your own personality but be directed at your target audience. This eliminates the people you would rather not see.

As you are in a highly competitive area, I would go for something very different to the same old and give yourself an edge :)

Mr DivineMK- Have managed boobies! Nice big round ones ;)

three points - without any real advice on how to implement them ;-)

1) Stick your name, or url on your pics to stop fake posters stealing them and setting up accounts on awank, etc. (Don't cover boobies with text!!!)

2) do some research on how google rates your site. As far as I know you need your keywords outlined somewhere so the search engine can list you when someone does a search. I guess googling "how to get your site higher in google search results" is a good place to start.

3) try to make the contact page a little more work friendly. I'd probably have no pics on this page and avoid huge text with words like "escort", "friendly girl" and "loves massive cocks in her arse". Some of us get horny while in the workplace and need to find your phone number when other people are around. Which also means, definitely no music!!!

good luck!!

I replied to a similar thread not so long back here.

I guess it depends what sort of site you want. If you just require a web presence, then most of the advice has already been given, easy navigation, good photos, good accessibility to the site, clear and concise text (in terms of content and presentation). I also think it important that a site is updated and/or a date is shown when this is the case, this would especially be a consideration in terms of dating pictures or galleries.

There are few very exceptional sites, I guess by the very definition of the term. To me an exceptional site thinks outside the box, so Dollymopps comes into that category. To me an exceptional site would almost have to be dynamically driven (so php, asp et al) and it would involve creativity and some element of artistic flair above and beyond the normal, without getting too complicated.

Just as an example, why does a site have to be a collection of standard pages? Why cannot the overall concept hold something above and beyond that? So Dollymopps example as her site being a book is an idea of that. More simply you could take the concept of say a "business card" as a theme and perhaps integrate that with an ajax parser to deliver "live" navigation. There are so many possibilities that I see could form an exceptional site. However, I'm not sure that this is of much interest or would deliver the numbers in terms of the work required above and beyond just a simple web presence.
