Using The Word Mature

67 posts in this topic

OK, I know 'mature' is relative, a 30 year old is going to be 'mature' to an 18 year old client and a 20 year old WG can be mature in her outlook and attitude but I was wondering is there an industry standard age for when a WG becomes mature?

The word personally icks me out but am wondering if it's a useful word to use to use on website and ads?

Just wondered what your thoughts are boys and girls.

Mature can be one of those words that a WG would like to use carefully to define her age or her working experience. When a lady uses it to define her age (because she didn't provide her age in her profile in the ad or website), I asuming she is over 35 yrs old. She would more or less use Mature to attract an older client base. The younger and newbie WGs would use Mature to promote that they have more knowledge and skills than their age belies.

Mature does sound better than Older.

Never liked the word - all it ever does is remind me of a fetid cheese

Much prefer MILF or Cougar

Mature refers to age imo. Ladies use it after the age of forty, so that men young and old will understand whats on offer. I wish there were more mature girls, make a change from the young hard-cases, with there lower back tatoos.

Age wise people have different opinions so there is no industry standard i know of. For me Mature means over 35. Age as long as over 18 isnt an indicator of much in itself in punting so i go on whether i fancy the WG, her attitude and whether she offers me the services i require. If so it could be punt on.

As to whether its a useful word to use on sites and in ads hopefully other WGs will be able to provide experience on that. :)

I think mature defines attitude rather then age. I have now realised that I prefer to visit ladies who are mature as I have more in common with them.

Mornin' ELG.

Horrible word. Never use it even though I am an older girl. Wouldn't dream of using MILF either it's just common IMHO, and as for other euphemisms such as 'cougar' which seems predatory to me, they are more of the same.

For what it is worth I do not pigeon-hole myself anywhere. I am me - Sarah - and my website speaks for itself. I do not say my age, nor so I say I am 'beautiful' or 'sexy' because they are perceived descriptions which are better coming from anyone else rather than oneself.

*thinks... needs taost and jam now*........

LOL

I don't use the word to describe my age but my signature sums up my opinion. (I've had that as my signature since I joined.)

Mature, for me, is someone who has life experience and a level headed attitude regardless of how old or young they may be.

Agree agree agree.............. but... the word itself puts ladies in a category in our line of work. It cuts out the essence of the woman by it's implication, and it is limiting which is why I would never use it.

:)

Thanks all! Sometimes we can have a nice discussion!

Sarah, like your attitude! You're right, none of us should pigeonhole ourselves. Is probably why I hate and won't use BBW either...

I don't use the word (or MILF or cougar for that matter - yuk), I just state my age and my dress size and let gents decide from that information (and photos of course) whether they want to see me.

Many men will google among other things.... the word mature when doing

their search.... because they are looking for exactly that.... a mature lady.

It is how I describe myself because it is what I am.

I think it is a perfectly reasonable word. We all market ourselves differently

and as long as we get what we want out of it then that is all we need worry about.

My meaning of the word Mature, would be a woman of 40+. This means to me, that the service I expect to receive is given by an exprienced person who should know what they are doing. I do however appreciate, that it does not mean you can expect the same level of quality service from every mature person however , the expectation is there.

My best wishes to all mature ladies, that provide a good service, to us more mature punters!

Out of interest Adele, do you use mature because of your actual age or because of your attitude and what age do you think constitutes 'mature'?

I have taken a good look at your photos, and I would not call you a BBW by any stretch of the imagination. Too many people want to classify us like we are some sort of commodity. Let's face it if we don't categorise ourselves the guys will do it for us ...lol

We are all individual, and as ADELE says - she thinks 'mature' is a perfectly reasonable word and that is fine.

The best part of punting is that all ladies have different things to offer and lots of us have strong views on things, which is what makes us so entertaining :)

Is that because you don't think I'm beautiful Sarah? ;)

I have been referred to as a bbw by others and I suppose compared to a size 12 girl I am big, but not to a size 28 girl! Like the mature thing it's subjective and relative and if certain words word for some and not others then all is lovely!

A bit of an odd question in my view but I will answer you.

I would have thought if an escort states she is mature it relates to her age!

I am in my fifties..... so qualify big time.

As for my attitude? Do you mean my attitude to my job?

Very very odd question Mrs!

Sorry, badly worded! My brain hurts today! I should have just asked your age, but that felt rude! I meant do you call yourself mature because of your years as opposed to being a 25 year old with a mature head on her. Anyway, you've answered me so no worries!

i think mature describes a certain depth of experience.

re the comment above about mature meaning fetid cheese. Oh you are sooo wrong. a nice mature cheddar or stilton is the height of taste. same can be said of port or brandy.

In my own little world, I tend to think of a mature lady as one who doesn't sell themselves solely on their physical attributes but has some additional experience and maturity of personality. It could easily apply to someone in their late twenties, though (working) girls don't normally start to describe themselves as such until they're a little older...

Don't agree with pigeonholing people against their will, but we all need to describe ourselves. Problem is when the adjectives used mean different things to different people ...although they do make good discussion topics (let's not get started on "bbw" again !)

I realise now that, in another thread, I have described a lady as being mature; said lady may possibly be a contributor to this topic! Hope I haven't caused any offence, all comments were of course intended to be entirely positive :)

How on earth can it be offensive to call a mature lady mature?

What IS a little offensive is when clients say " oh you are intelligent "
