Relaunch Of Saafe: Good News And Bad.

9 posts in this topic

Hi ladies,

Just to notify you that SAAFE has gone through a bit of a visual change and the whole of the main site has been updated. Gone are the old boxes, in its place is a slicker site.

New articles have been added: to keep up with the increase in demand from non-independent workers there is now an article on finding a decent agency or brothel from an escort who knows (more to be added as soon as we get permission from a current SAAFE member, also in the know). There are also tips on starting up your own website, finding a home (targeted for the London area but I would imagine it would be the same experience throughout the country), and a new article where escorts share their first experiences as an escort. Also the Where to Advertise article has been updated quite extensively so that may well be worth a gander if you’re always on the look-out for new directories in which to be listed. Thanks to Paris B for that.

There are still a couple of updates that still need to be done but you will be notified on Twitter if you’re a member there. Which brings me to the not so good news. I’ve had to set up a new account on Twitter. I would’ve preferred not to as we were satisfied with our advertising, but certain individuals thought it was a good idea to steal the entire contents of SAAFE and put it there themselves, citing that they weren’t happy with our advertising and as it was on the internet it was freely available to take what they wanted, ignoring the tiny fact that SAAFE is copyrighted.

To that end I’ve set-up the official Twitter page promoting SAAFE and I’m happy to say that we are still very well supported. Too many names to mention who are now following us but thank you. If you’re a member of Twitter please sign up and give your support to the real SAAFE, not to a person whose agenda it is to crave the glory of the good name it’s taken years to achieve and none of the hard work it’s taken to achieve it. In the words of the scrumptious Gary Barlow on The Xtra Factor on Saturday night whose name was also misappropriated, “it happens to the best of us”. :)

Gents, if you know of any ladies that are new to the business and don’t know about SAAFE yet, please direct them to not only the forum but the main site too. It’s a mine of information written by experienced escorts who’ve put time and effort into it to help others. And of course, they can sign up to the forum itself if there any queries that need to be answered if they don’t see it on the main site.

Thanks to PN for indulging me.

Saafe helped me out so much reading thru all the info when I first started out - I liked reading the reality so well presented. Sorry to hear people have been nicking stuff and causing grief, I wish people would see that Saafe goes beyond personal one-upmanship, if indeed that's what it was... I'm not au-fait with rivalry comings and goings - they're shit. Yours, and those ladies who work with you, their dedication to our side of the business, deserves far more than can easily be recognised.

Many thanks to you, Brandy, and to the team for the work which must have gone in to the relaunch, and indeed to the creation and maintenance of SAAFE. I have given links to it to several new (and not-so-new) ladies who have found it extremely valuable, and who by reading it have improved their security, health awareness and other aspects of their work.

Mods Team: Could this be 'pinned' for a while, d'you think?

If somebody has been making unauthorised use of your copyright material and refusing to remove it, you can complain to their hosting provider who will almost certainly take it down and/or suspend the site until it's removed. If you don't know how to trace them send me a PM.

That always warms my cockles to hear things like that Lilly B. I'm not into one-upmanship either, never have been. The individuals involved with nicking SAAFE thinks that I should have world domination in mind. SAAFE was never about publicity, just doing what it said on the tin for those who found us.

That's brilliant news Pabs. Again, it warms my cockles to hear when SAAFE has been of use the ladies in the business. The headaches that go with running such a successful site pale in comparison when I know what good it does. Do keep spreading the word.

(Please excuse the multi posts, still getting to grips with the multi quotes thing, lol.)

The individuals who stole SAAFE put it on Twitter, hence having to put up the official SAAFE on Twitter myself so people are aware that they have nothing to do with us. I wrote to them over a week ago and have yet to receive a response.

Even though the individuals linked back to SAAFE, they still took the first sentence from every article, which has been copyrighted ever since content was stolen the last time a few years ago. I daresay it won't be the last time. It's moot now as the links they have no longer exist. But thank you anyway.
