Advance Bookings?

47 posts in this topic

why do WGs seem reluctant to take advance bookings? I tried 6 WGs yesterday in an attempt to make a booking for Friday as I like to be organised and guaranteed of one of the ladies of my choice, rather than a "panic buy" and all of them told me to ring back on the day of the booking, a couple told me to ring an hour before I wanted to meet....

I would have thought that knowing you have bookings in advance was preferable but it seems not... sure there is a good reason for this - maybe timewasters changing their mind by the time the booking comes around?

just curious really but frustrating as I bet I end up missing out on who I want to see now!

Speaking personally - I ALWAYS ask you to call back on the day. That doesn't mean I haven't 'booked you in' - that means you call back on the day to confirm your plans haven't changed. Are you perhaps misunderstanding your ladies?

Wasn't there another thread on this very issue, quite recently, where it was generally surmised that advance bookings almost always take the form of provisional, with re-confirmation on the same day.

That is SOP is it not?

Perhaps a little note flexible once one attains the "regular" title. But for a maker of sprees with fixed schedules like myself, a good way to go about it.

Gotta agree with all the above, pretty much all my bookings are advanced ones, but I ALWAYS ask for confirmation 9am on the day, new or old clients.

I think Bristols might be correct there

I agree that is normal practice but all of these ladies just said ring me on the morning...

most didn't even ask what time I wanted to meet them... can hardly be classed as a provisional?

I have found most ladies happy to take advance bookings (almost always with confirmation on the day). The exception, for some reason, is TS escorts who do largely refuse to take bookings except on the day or sometimes only an hour ahead. Why this should be I do not know.

HT no- you are right. That can't be a booking and the risk is you may call back on the day only to be thwarted.

DL - not a permitted topic on here though.

I like to book in advance and generally I am asked to call and confirm before 09.00 on the day in question. This seems obvious to me, if only to demonstrate that some other poster on here hasn't had their revenge on me for out of order posts, and to make sure that the lady of the moment hasn't succumbed to the charms of a short millionaire!

I don't find this at all irksome.

They might be holding out to see if they get a better offer. I don't know how long you were asking them for but that might be a factor.

Also if it's in advance there's a risk you might cancel on the day and cause them to lose out if they've already turned others down in place yoir booking or they might be ill - some prefer to work on more of a day by day basis.

It's down the girls at the end of the day. X

I've usually only ever booked at maximum the day before and often on the day.

I do however have a current booking where, because of specific circumstances which I explained to the lady, she was willing to book me two weeks in advance. I was asked to call again a few days before our meet and if she asks me to call again on the day that will be no problem at all. We haven't met before and I'm grateful my lady took a two week booking so I'm not about to piss her about for doing so.

As for WG's not taking any advance bookings, I don't know how many have this policy but I'm sure ladies realise that we punters often have to juggle our real lives in order to meet them and same day isn't always possible.

In my experiance, a lot more advanced bookings simply don't turn up, and it can be very fustraiting

That's fair enough. But imagine, if you will, that you are planning a trip around your hobby. It takes you over 8 hours to travel and you are staying in your destination (let's say London) for between 3 and 10 days.

You want to meet a number of ladies you have painstakingly researched, along with some regulars. Add to that a wish not to waste all the rest of the time doing nothing, so you want to arrange a number of meetings, dinners with acquaintances, theatre visits and so on, all of which have their own fixed timetables.

Scheduling comes into it therefore, and a bit of understanding regarding advance bookings is tremendous.

Do you mean people book in advance and then just do not show up, or that they cancel at some point between making the booking and attending the booking?

Most of my bookings are on the day- I wish more were in advance so I can plan my life a little better. However I will take advance bookings and stick to them, even if a 'better' offer comes along. The 'better' offer may well cancel or not show and I'd be left with nothing (I expect karma makes that happen!). If someone books more than a few hours ahead I ask for a confirmation call or text nearer the time to be sure.

However, in my experience advance bookers are more likely to cancel or not show. T'is a shame these naughty people (both punters and WG's) make us suspicious of each other!

I prefer to book in advance and have had little trouble so far. I've just been asked to confirm on the day or even the day before.

With regulars, I often book from 1 week to 2 months in advance, but always get back in touch a week before to confirm and then usually on the day as well.

Most recently, I was going to be in a part of the country I don't visit often, and there was a particular girl I wanted to see, so I called her and make a booking more than 3 months in advance, by phone, and agreed to contact her again 10 days before the meeting to confirm.

It does all depend on the lady, and the end of the day, she is the one to gets to choose how she works.

And i ALWAYS want to ring by agreement and just before i am leaving my place for hers. I would never just assume a bookings still on, something might of happened at her end for example and i wasnt informed which has happened in the past although thankfully very rarely. :)

Punters not turning up is what some WGs tell me as well as what others posted on here. I think some have tried different ways and settled on what suits them.

Certainly most EE WGs i punt with prefer same day bookings they tell me as this works better for them. I virtually always only book on the day not knowing till i wake up on the day that i want a punt, two weeks next Wednesday i might not, but obviously i realize many punters have to plan things ahead. :)

I wish I had the luxury of being able to punt your way Smiths. There are many mornings I wake up wanting a punt but escaping the other half to go punting is another matter.

As I have a prior engagement next week which takes me away from home without Mrs Geezer I just have to take the opportunity I have. As I am restricted in my punting I know I'll be looking forward to it as long as I haven't caught a bloody cold. I'm sure if I punted more often I too would start to be selective about whether I feel like punting or not.

I also have a backup plan of a couple of Indies and a couple of parlours that I could ring if the lady has to cancel my booking. I've learned the hard way about not having a Plan B and missing a golden opportunity.

Both. Hence why we pencil you in and ask for confirmation the day before and then again on the day.

I had one actually ring the day before the booking to cancel after he had made a booking a week earlier. He said that he had woken up un-enthused about punting that week. The word, "un-enthused" did make me laugh.

Perhaps they just live hectic lives or have families who can make sudden demands so rather than take an advance booking then face the possibility of letting you down and seeming unreliable they take bookings on the day only

just think how even more inconvenient it would be though to make an advance booking only to be called on the day and told it was off as her child/husband/hampster was ill though, at lease if a girl refuses to take an advance booking you can make a booking with a lady who does work to a schedule too.

Personally, I prefer to book well in advance (as I have to make sure Mrs Lando and work responsibilities are all accounted for...that way I can go about my punt with peace of mind). I'd be so fired up with anticipation in the days preceding the date that there's no chance of a no show on my part except something terrible happens.

I always book in advance as I only punt when away on business and my dates are fixed. I book up to a month in advance and re-confirm about a week before and on the day. The ladies seem quite happy with this.

This is pretty much my MO. The lady with whom I punt most regularly has always accepted my booking two weeks in advance, even when I was a newbie to her. She always asks for confirmation before 8 am on the day. In general I rarely book less than 5 days ahead, unless I am visiting a parlour opportunisitically (I've only done this twice). I too have an increasing sense of anticipation in the days preceding the booking that adds to the excitement. :)

Ditto that.

My next booking was made 2 weeks in advance and my anticipation is climbing by the day.

It would take illness or emergency on my part to miss the booking and that's why I'm happy to confirm however and whenever the the lady might ask. I'm currently under request to confirm 3 days before and I expect I may be asked to confirm again on the day.
