Website Has Stolen My Pictures, How And Where To Report Them Please?

34 posts in this topic

Hey there guys,

I hope someone can help me, there is this agency, which somehow has stolen my pictures and is using them, pretending i work for them. When in fact i was independent for the last 4/5 years. And i don't believe they are using my pictures/profile to say/advertise me as independent as there is no link to my site or my number.

Also my details are all wrong, i am not blonde and certainly not 178 tall and i don't have blue eyes.

Now i have stopped work full stop and it is annoying me that someone is using my pictures without my consent. I have contacted them but nothing.

Has any of you girls had this happen to and if so what did you do?

This is the site

http://midlandescort...m/girls/simone/

Thank you all x

Well done for bringing it to people's attention as agencies that do this rightly get viewed with suspicion which can only damage their business.

It must be upsetting for you.

Probably a good method would be for lots of people to complain to them and make clear it isn't tolerated. Seems to be new management so not a good sign about their ethical standards.

Hope it gets sorted soon (but gorgeous picture!).

First send them an email that clearly states the following,

1) You own the copyright of the photo(s) in question.

2) The photo is/are being used without consent or licence.

3) That is a breach of UK law.

4) You require the immediate removal of the photos.

5) You need to give them a reasonable period to respond, one working week should be fine.

6) State that you will pursue the matter further in the event on non compliance,

There hosting company is http://www.unlimitedwebhosting.co.uk

Who have the following as part of there acceptable usage policy.

1.1 Website Content

The client agrees that web pages and files uploaded to servers will not violate any local, national or foreign laws or regulations; infringe on any intellectual property rights of Unlimited Web Hosting UK Ltd or any third party; be defamatory, slanderous or trade libellous; be threatening or harassing; be discriminatory based on gender, race, age; promote hate; or contain viruses or other computer programming defects which result in damage to Unlimited Web Hosting UK Ltd or any third party. Every picture on that site looks fake - most look like they are taken from Playboy or internet soft porn sites. For a start, you could simply try contacting the agency and asking them to take the picture down. They probably don't know who it's a picture of, they just found it in some search for photos of hot girls.

(Actually, how did they get hold of the picture if it's not been online for 4/5 years?)

I think what has happened to Simone is an abject lesson on how little ladies know about image size and protecting copyright. And I'm not blaming Simone - it's a lack of awareness.

- You never upload full sized images to websites (unless there are good reasons to do so). Always re-size to 72dpi and no more than 1000 pixels on the longest size.

- Place a watermark or copyright notice diagonally over each photo saying '© Sexy blonde girl' or whatever your name is. This can be done in Photoshop as a text overlay. Watermarks can be done in P/shop but can be more complex. Reason for doing this is that it (a) detracts theft, and (B) theives cant be arsed to clone out the notice.

I think that some websites allow you to prevent downloads or disable right clicking so cant drag images to the desktop.

Maybe someone with more technical nouse than me can fill in any missing gaps.

Finally, pursue the internet hosting company (if you can trace) and give them a reasonable period to remove the copyrighted images before legal action. In this case, http://midlandescorts.com may be roued through a number of sites to disguise the owner. Good luck.

I had a look at the website again - forgive me if I'm being dim but I can't see anywhere that says anything about the cost of booking an escort on the site. Too new? Forgot? Not a way to get any business started.

They also have the following text in different places on the site:

"We handpick all of our girls, which I am sure you will agree that apart from being strikingly beautiful, have a fantastic attitude as to a girl, they all genuinely enjoy working as an escort."

"Are the pictures genuine?

All our pictures are 100% genuine and recent and we speak with every guy and girl to ensure that it is them in the pictures."

Is this the same agency that, presumably under different owners as it says they are run by women, had a run in on a thread on here about their attitude to their business? Could be wrong so helpful if someone can confirm or refute this point.

I think someone might have gotten it into their skull, the offending items have been removed

Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn't here.

No sign of an apology to the real Simone though

The Simone photo does appear to have gone, which is a blessing. Can anyone confirm/contact Sophia (of Leicestershire) to see if the Sophia photo is her and if she has approved its use?

I take a fair few pictures for WGs and to be honest I dont want them to look as if they have been lifted from mags, when I'm looking for my next punt if the photo looks "pro" I avoid, been taken in too many times.

As a rule of thumb if the picture includes wetwipes/tissue/baby oil/toys or even a bog roll in the background then its not been stolen from playboy!

That's a good tip.

If there's a packet of condoms on the bedside cabinet then the photo was probably taken by JKay, and a genuine WG. If not then it's probably taken by David Bailey for Penthouse.

Does Xenia still have the penchant for claiming that photos (of anything) are only genuine if they have a bogroll next to them?

Hey Guys,

Thank you for all your replies. I can see my pictures from the gallery have been removed :) there is one on this page still.

http://midlandescorts.com/northampton-escorts/

If you are reading this midlands escort pls remove my picture from the above link asap.

My pictures are 99% genuine, lol im modest ;) what i don't understand is how they have removed the watermark on them because on my site (which is offline now) all the pictures were watermarked. I used to watermark every pictures if i was to add myself to a new directory etc.

There is another site which my bf has come across advertising escorts, well me, as going out to dinner dates etc for freeeeeeee, F***K Me i don't think so mate lol. I have lost the link to it but searching hard and i will report it on here as soon as i find it!

thank you all again.

Have happy new year :) xx

The picture of Sophia on this site is used without her authorisation like Simone's and actually comes from Sophia's current website.

So the agency hasn't learnt its lesson and, as Simone has pointed out, seems content to do the minimum when shown to be at fault.

Great Stuff!!

Except you are barking up the wrong tree.

The domain which has been placed in the Hall of Shame section is the wrong one, namely midlandSescorts.com

It should be, per the original post, midlandescorts.com (no S in the middle).

It has been corrected now in the hall of shame notice.

Well spotted as obviously unfair to the other agency otherwise.

Has anyone told sophia? I tried calling her but she couldn't talk.

Yes Simone, I was in touch with her and she is contacting the agency as you did.

I got a message from the agency rather oddly as I was uploading a pc program but while I could see there was a message, I couldn't read the message - presumably a reply to my two messages to them about Simone's and Sophia's unauthorised pics.

Would be more to the point if they replied to Simone's and Sophia's messages to them and acted on them.

The only positive thing you can say about them is they have great taste in beauty - both girls' pictures are gorgeous.

Oh great, they do have a great taste on stealing photos but i wonder who the clients see when they turn up? (if they are a working agency??)

They don't appear to be a working agency, as yet at least, as no phone number just a clunky contact process and no prices or indication of availability.

It seems new management have got the website people to set up a site before they have girls to people it.

One of them has overlooked the point that girls' images are not for free commercial use and girls spend so much effort in making them work to the advantage of their work and have every right to take them off display as and when it suits them.

The 'gorgeous' reference was just a passing salute to you and Sophia and not minimising my understanding of the annoyance to you.

Disappointing to the point of disbelief that the agency has stil not removed the second Simone image nor either of the Sophia images.

Not difficult to know when you're wrong, surely, and confined to the hall of shame and correcting things is so straightforward...
