Oral, Playing It Safe Or Not

Sorry if this has been done before, but I was just wondering, even though you are still in a sexual relationship with your partner, do you still indulge yourself with OWO and CIM when visiting a WG, given the advice elsewhere on this board not to?

I have as OW does nothing for me sexually but only you can decide what you do while punting. For me its about risk versus reward and OWO is something i require and worth the risk which i know as small as i have been punting for years with WGs who offered it without ever catching anything. I go to the GUM quartely to get checked though.

I'm with Smiths virtually word-for-word. In over 3 years I've had no serious STIs - just 2 instances of UTIs a couple of years ago which antibiotics cleared up within the week.

Mrs Dick rarely gets 'serviced' by the good Reverend's trusty staff these days, so the risks are low. However, I take the following extra precautions:

1. I keep a coded punt-diary buried deep in a spreadsheet of mine (entitled 'Suitable Hymns for Epiphany'). This helps me keep track of when and who I've seen, any problems, and when it might be safest to approach her indoors.

2. I take extra care if I visit parlours; analysis of my spreadsheet suggests my two STIs were picked up in such establishments. (This in no way denegrates the good ladies who work there, but shower facilities are not always easily available.)

3. I almost exclusively frequent agency ladies from SE Asia (Thai, Laos, Cambodia etc.) who live in nice London flats. My thorough, gentle and most intimate, probing examinations of their beautiful, lithe bodies indicate a very high standard of hygiene, and those that I get to know better have a good awareness of safe sex.

4. I have a quarterly check-up in a neighbouring parish SH clinic. (Only once have I forgotten to remove my dog-collar.)

5. Finally, I've been very, very lucky, so someone up there is keeping an eye out for me. It seems Good Ol' Beardy looks after His own.

They don't normally screen for the incurable (and cancer risk factor) HPV, you will know from the intense pain if you get HSV. Best to avoid OWO.

When i go with a girl i don't know i do OW usually. Even when i feel a bit nervous i do OW. Trouble is to keep a condom on for maybe 45 mins is a long time and does make 69 etc a bit cumbersome, but a good girl can make the experience pretty pleasurable. I do agree with previous posts though, i have had a lot of OWO sessions over 12 months and have picked up nothing, either i have been lucky or the risks are reasonably low (for someone fit, healthy and clean)

I have only been with one WG and did indulge in OWO and CIM without picking anything up either, but I did pay a visit to the GUM clinic just to be sure. The fact the I may have caught something and even worse, passed it on was my biggest worry after the event. I do think that if OWO was a lot more risky than it is, most WG's wouldn't partake in it. I have never tried OW, so I when I do get round to visiting another WG I'll give it a try to see bow it works for me.

Give OW a go IK, its not perfect but its not bad, and for me going home and feeling safe is worth the reduced experience sometimes. I must say though that if I'm with someone i feel safe with i relax and do OWO. Drinking plenty of water afterwards and giving it a week or so to see if there is a problem may also be good advice, but I'm no doctor.

Thanks for the advice, I do agree, the feeling that what I'm doing is safer should make the experience much more enjoyable. Can I ask what your take on RO is, is this something that you indulge in?

Yes I love it and have never had a problem apart from one very unwashed area which I moved away from at once and terminated the punt in about 5 mins. Better to lose £60 than catch something.

I understand why an unwashed area is unappealing, but I have no clue why we're equating cleanliness with lack of STIs. You can't wash an STD away (and, in fact, over-cleaning will make you significantly more likely to pick something up if you're accidentally exposed to it via a broken condom or cross-contamination).

I love RO and 69, thats the best part for me. I have been lucky though, most of the girls i have been with have been very clean. I have had the odd one that i have baulked at but by and large i find girls are really clean and aware of the punters concerns. I also make sure i am showered and in good shape so i guess it cuts both ways.

In June 2002, a study conducted amongst 135 HIV negative Spanish heterosexuals, who were in a sexual relationship with a person who was HIV positive, reported that over 19,000 instances of unprotected oral sex had not led to any cases of HIV transmission.3 The study also looked at contributing factors that could affect the potential transmission of HIV through oral sex. They monitored viral load and asked questions such as whether ejaculation in the mouth occurred and how good oral health was. Amongst HIV positive men, 34 per cent had ejaculated into the mouths of their partners. Viral load levels were available for 60 people in the study, 10 per cent of whom had levels over 10,000 copies. Nearly 16 per cent of the HIV positive people had CD4 counts below 200. The study, conducted over a ten year period between 1990 and 2000, adds to the growing number of studies which suggest varying levels of risk of HIV transmission from oral sex when compared to anal or vaginal intercourse.

I'm just quoting this study at random, I know its a smallish sample, but if you look for research on this, the findings are all very, very similar. The risk of contracting HIV through oral sex NaughtyLady, appears to be theoretical. As in, it is THEORETICALLY possible, but the research all seems to suggest it is highly unlikely, and i have never found any research to support that it is actually possible. It's difficult because you would have to find a sample of people who only practiced oral sex and contracted HIV

and that is unlikely to happen.

Good info, thanks for this. :)

Basically, OWO is not very likely to give you HIV, but there are real risks involved for other (mostly curable but not ideal) diseases.

and "drinking a lot of water" after is going to do precisely f-all , apart from being very good for the skin!

Here's someone who's actually changed their approach to OWO as a result of personal experience;

Can I ask what it is about the "someone" you are with (I assume you mean an escort) that means you feel safe enough to switch from OW to OWO?

There's apparently a bit of an outbreak at the moment. My GUM clinic and other sources have mentioned to me that gonorrhoea in particular is causing problems and they're tracing it back to OWO.

I have been reading about it. Personally i will continue as i have been doing for decades, my personal experiences are what i go on, and ensuring i go to the GUM quartely. :)

He doesn't mention if she used anything whilst rimming him. If not, it's a bit pointless having OW if you're just going to expose another area to potential infections.
