if the recipient is technically proficient enough and depending on how the email was sent -- then prob. yes. for the novice recipient -- probably not .

IP=internet protocol address

ISP=Internet service provider.

I had someone sending me nasty messages via facebook, so managed to get them to send me an email and from the headers I could track down their IP/ISP so the answer is yes

A few cannot I believe yahoo and Gmail can not be traced from the headers
