Madam Becky's Nooky Booky

72 posts in this topic

I have just received my copy of Madam Becky's book.

I have only flicked through it so far but I know the idea is to show what sheer fun she had in her life and how easy it is to debunk snooty people with wafer-thin morals.

A lot of working girls will do well to read it and see the lighter side of the business and even more men to see if they rate a mention.

I don't think they do - but worth getting just to check and to have a laugh too.

Surely a girl in the industry knows what it is like without reading about it ? I thought the aim was for people who are not in the industry to read it and see what it is like. From my experience and I think I probably speak for most in the Industry that are in to make a living it isn't a great deal of fun and laughs, it is hard work and quite soul destroying not to mention illegal. I am sure the book has it's place but trying to make this industry into fun and laughs is like all the other books that escorts write pretending it's all dinner dates and rich clients. It's fiction and leads people into the industry that wouldn't normally consider it.

Anyone that has worked in this industry knows it is hateful and full of paranoia, deceit and greed. As with everything you can try and make it fun but the bottom line is it dangerous and ruins lives. To glamourise it further is wrong. That is not sour grapes that is someone that has run large parlours for 10 years and had their life ripped apart in the process as has every other person I have ever met in my position.

I hope I'm just missing the sarcasm here but on the assumption that I'm not:

Isn't everyone who works in the industry "in it to make a living"? is it hard work? of course, but soul destroying? you need a new job, and illegal? only if you're involved in the illegal elements ie. brothel keeping etc.

You paint such a lovely picture of the industry, one has to wonder why anyone in their right mind would even consider it, and as for the punters, how crazy are we to be stepping into the middle of such an arena?

I happen to know Becky specifically wanted to write about how much fun she had - because she had so much fun, including having to laugh looking back at what at the time were pains in the bum.

She, and I, weren't saying the job itself isnt serious and demanding; but she looks back on her time running her kittens and can only laugh.

No idea if the earlier comment was sarcastic or bitter; I do know Becky had a real laugh along the way and is entitled to describe it as it was.

When you read it chaps you'll see that it started out as lots of fun and laughs and ended up with me fleeing the UK from the old bill and everyone else who wanted to kill me or arrest me.

It was bloody hard work and quite grim at times from a business point of view, but the main context of the book is about the wonderful people who work in the 'business' and the great clients. The big family that are sex workers. The bright, funny, loyal folk I was blessed to meet along the way.

To be honest more people seem to be crying and rooting for the girls against the police than howling with laughter, although some bits are deemed hilarious,

Rolf Harris and Mk Council are trying to sue me, so the shit never stops, but the people are as glorious as ever!

You can read reviews on my site, or on Waterstones. I've been as surprised at the response from the general public as anyone.

A review I got today from a lady called Karen Philips who works in MK hospital and has never met a 'working lady' in her life.

''...A book so well deserved of the one-session read it got! A totally raw and honest life story that reflects all that is so horribly bad about human nature, but in turn, embraces all that is so wonderfully amazing. One could wax lyrical forever, but suffice to say, 'Madam' ricochets you from one emotion to another, leaving you astounded on all levels and indeed, wiping away tears of laughter and sadness and being breathtakingly aware of all our strengths, weaknesses and love of life.

An awesome read, summed up with a simple Wow...''

Should be a fantastic read - good luck to you MB. Those very early days in Alton Road and then in Bletchley are remembered very fondly.

Sorry, Adele, it's not my place to speak for Becky but you need your sleep so I've skimmed through some of the book (backwards so I didn't get too engrossed) and it seems to me a) RH was definitely NOT a client, B) someone liked to be smacked with a bat by a girl wearing a beard.

I think that hints at it, just missing out on the all-in-a-day's-work way Becky tells it as if it was the most natural thing in the world.

With the book now out and the obvious publicity that the name would bring it would be really nice if you could get the web designer to take the MBK's site down. Despite the website being sold twice Ozzy who built it for you refuses to make any changes to it or indeed on having a new one made as he would not let anyone have the site it would be nice if you could perhaps now ask him to take it down. He has been asked a dozen times and seems to think it is quite funny leaving it there for some reason. It isn't funny for the people who paid good money for it or the girls that are still on there.

It matters not that 2 people were sold something that didn't exist but I feel sorry for the girls on there that are no longer working who will have the general public googling them as a matter of interest.

Thanks for that post.

I wonder is there a big difference, for the girls, between the parlour way of working and other forms, such as agency and indie ? Is there something particularly difficult about working in a parlour ?

Well there is a difference of course because an Indie is doing her own advertising and diary planning etc. A parlour girl needs to just turn up for work with a decent set of pictures. All girls though will have experienced the pit falls of the industry. There cannot be a girl out there that would describe this job as great fun. Like any job it has it moments but to say running a parlour is fun would be a total lie. Yes the strangest things happen and some of the stories are hair raising and you can have a laugh with some girls and some clients become good friends but it had a very dark side to it.

Someone asked after my post if punters were safe stepping into the arena. A rather dramatic question, the only way to answer it would be it would be like me writing a book about my wonderful time as a bank robber and the client going into a bank. The shit happens to those involved not the client. Hence why clients think anyone can do this job and are always going on about pimps having a licence to print money.

You started the drama with such emotive statements such as "it is hard work and quite soul destroying not to mention illegal", "it is hateful and full of paranoia, deceit and greed" and "the bottom line is it dangerous and ruins lives" yes I asked if you think it's safe for punters to be stepping into such a world as you describe, and I stand by that because believe it or not we're "involved" too, without the punters, you're be kind of screwed, and not in the good way.

As for your last, I'm sure I said something only yesterday about tarring everyone with the same brush, such irrational statements do not help your argument or the discussion.

I'm not sure if this is aimed at me, but no website I ever had anything to do with is still in existence, and I don't know anyone called Ozzy, so not sure I can assist on that one.

Good luck with the book MB. I shall be reading it - looking forward to it in fact and hope it reminds me a little of the fun I used to have with the likes of Shiraz. We knew how to party !

Am sure the site will come down as someone must be paying for it to stay up although fond memories flood back and I didn't even get to see Lisa!!

MB - you placed a floppy hat on my willy and I was one of the "new lady testers" until you thought I was an HoD mole and was trying to poach Crystal and I almost got roughed up by a cretin of yours!! (She's now married in Oz.) My name/identity shall remain anonymous!! I also remember that nice farmhouse where I was banging away that posh P/T estate agent (what a lady!) and the police arrived as clients had been going to the wrong house. I then had to pretend to be your accountant!!

My hobby continues...

All slightly off topic but typical of the Industry. HOD has never poached anyone and never would. Firstly we have no reason to and secondly we just don't work like that. I am sorry you nearly got beaten in the paranoia.

The site was sold to Crystal but the web host would not help her. He has an interest in MKangels so why would he. Crystal then sold the site on and he confirmed it would be given to the host of choice. He then went off the radar and the site that was sold by MB and Crystal was useless. In my eyes it is theft to take money for something and never give it to that person and that is all that was being purchased a website there was nothing else to be sold.

Another site had to be made and still he refused to take it down which made the whole thing a sham and the reason really that it made sense to close it. It could never have it's own identity with the old website and it's previous owners pics sitting there muddling up the clients. It is still there to this day despite the company closing over 12 months ago and I believe MB selling it what must be close to 4 years ago now and she stopped trading long before that so it is useless. Like I said earlier none of this is relevant, what's done is done but I feel with the book out it is time for someone to do the decent thing and take the site down. I have had various conversations as has Crystal about taking the site down but they go ignored. It is the site that MB traded from and it was the site that Crystal purchased I have detailed PM's with that information on. I also have an email from the host confirming that before he decided it would be more fun to confuse everyone.

Now I really must read that book to see where all that fun is I'm missing !
