Disabled Clients

33 posts in this topic

I had a really touching email today from a blind chap who came to my Watersones book signing with his guide dog.

He works as a disabled persons information officer and unable to chat about such things in the middle of a book shop he emailed today and was asking if ladies see disabled clients.

I assured him that over the years at MB's we had many gents with all types of disabilities and often carers would be the ones who called up and made the bookings and we did what we could to accommodate all their requirements.

I am going to have a meeting with this gent and explain how it all works, so that he will be able to pass on info to others in his position requiring a service.

Are there any websites or groups of ladies which are focused on the needs and specific problems encountered by disabled clients who wish to see escorts? I can't think of any, but from what I'm hearing there's a definite need.

Madam Becky.

good point becky, but from my experience may places dont have disabled access, cos they have loads of stairs.

I am sure the disability regulations should apply as per any business premesis, but then this business isnt renowned for conforming with laws like that.

why not PM galahad and see if he wants to establish a databse of providers who can cope with disabled. it would need a list of disabilities each provider can provide for. (i.e 1 step would stop a wheelchair but not necessarily someone who can only walk a few steps, or a blind person)

I fully support this, many of us may have problems because of age/looks/confidence/situation in getting girls but I can really see the need for men that have much bigger issues. Hopefully this community can work together to support this.

The TLC site at http://www.tlc-trust.org.uk/ is an offshoot of Outsiders and has been around for years - I've had some great clients from there (as well as some not so great, just like everywhere else).

It could do with more people advertising on it, but as well as the database there is a huge amount of useful information on there for both punters with disabilities and providers who see them. Always worth giving it a plug :).

I think it is always wise to remember people with disabilities at the end of the day have feelings and sexual needs like any of us, yet often have massive obstacles to overcome in tasks able bodied people take for granted.

It makes me think how lucky I am not to have a major disablity and it is great there are people out there to help these clients.

You are certainly right there as regards Establishments, i used to help a guy in a wheelchair access a Party venue on a regular basis along with his carer who dropped him off and picked him up, it was a real struggle to carry him into the buliding and access it and take him to the toliet. He really had a good time though and really looked forward to the party.

Much more needs to be done to help disabled people within punting but it not being regulated is always going to be a problem with ensuring disabled access in my view. I dont like the bloke but does George McCoys guides give this information i wonder, if not why not seeing as in theory he actually visits the premises.

This would be good information to have as a Sticky thread prominently displayed at the top of this forum in my opinion, obviously this thread will disappear into the archive. :)

I've not had any requests to see disabled clients but it certainly wouldn't be a problem due to having sufficient space (and a sofa bed) downstairs. On my way to TLC!

TLC-TRUST is a good site and i think it does need more ladies to sign up.I am disabled and have seen "Karry"from there, lovely lady.

I also use the other site and you will find many ladies list that they see disabled clients, and those that don't usually will if you ask.Access will always be a problem.so you have to check this out.

I agree escorts are a valuable service to disabled people.

Thank you so much everyone. I will tell my gent about the TLC Trust. I don't think he can know about it from the emails we've shared.

I agree that this is something that we ought to think about and see what we can do to help and support.

Thank you all again.

Great post, I am happy to see disabled clients, but someone with limited mobility may struggle with the stairs to my flat so generally don't feel I can be too overt in my advertising to see disabled clients. I am of course aware that of those registered disabled a small percentage are in wheelchairs (5%?) but in my experience of disabled clients calling me the stairs has been an issue, although I would be happy to assist someone up the stairs, for example if they were blind or partially sighted.

I would be interested if there were a place for me to advertise to such clients. And before someone jumps in with the usual oh you whores are all mercenary or money grabbing I actually do like the part of my job that gives men a happy fuzzy glow because they receive affection and kindness not just because they want to unload on my face or similar.

Lydia...........

The site mentioned in the above link in some ones post is a place where escorts can advertise.

You will probably recognise a few ladies names on it, I know I do.

What I always think a gentleman should do, is to be completely honest and upfront about what his form of disability is, and if the lady the decides not to meet with him for her own personal reasons, just to move on without it offending his sensibilities.

I meet with or should I say met with a chap who has Parkinsons, he has gone down hill though which is sad to say, and he is longer moble enough to get to see me.

He did not tell me about his condition the first time we met, and to be honest I stopped the meet a short time in and asked him if he was ok, as I knew something was not right, It even crossed my mind that he was intoxicated.

He then told me all, he said he had not told me before hand as he was sick of ladies saying no to him when he told them about his condition on his initial approach to them.

The release of my new book and the work I'm doing with BBC Radio means I am honoured to be given the opportunity to speak to disabled groups, and those who run information sources for them about sex workers and the less able bodied.

I am going to do my utmost to spread the word with the gents and their carers that there are places they can go, and ladies they can see that will bring some fun and friskiness into their lives.

I have had a listing on TLC and as Amy says there are great clients to be had, but also some not so great from the site (those who abuse their ability/disability). I have trouble accomodating certain types of disability at my place, but will always offer the option of outcall instead.

mebbe we could get Gal to put question on the fr -

is the site accessable for wheelchairs?

not mandatory, but if the FR writer is happy to click yes or no then that will help woulnt it?

Hmm, I think this all depends. One wheelchair user is not the same as another, for instance I've had a wheelchair visitor who was very agile and able to leap up my stairs, another wheelchair user I know simply wouldn't be able to acheive this and thus we had to revert to an outcall. Disabilities come in all shapes and form and the ability to wheel a chair over the threshold isn't always an accurate guide.

Hello

Can’t remember if I found Punternet first or TLC, but TLC was the one that helped me most to break my punting cherry in July of last year. Had a few punts first from TLC but then moved quickly to here and the purple site. Used to specifically look to see if they had ticked the disabled option but now just find a lady i would like to meet and then just email them with a brief description about me and if they are happy to see a disabled client. Its always wise to let the WG know before hand. So far none have had an issue the same rules apply ie treating them with respect and understand what they will and won’t do, clean on time etc.

I always wondered why ladies didn’t tick the disabled box, but it soon became clear it was more to do with accessibility issues rather than having concerns about seeing someone with a disability.

The term disability covers such a wide topic and as some one mentioned only a small percentage of people with disabilities are wheelchair bound and also 2 people in wheelchairs can have completely different levels of mobility.

My disability currently is very much more on the mild side, in fact if you saw me in the street you may just notice I have a slight limp. However I spent 3 years in a wheelchair so have experience the full range of mobility issues from fully paralysed, to braces, crutches, walking stick, limp. Although I have no problems getting around up and down stairs i have very poor balance, very week leg and back joints and my legs are thin due to loss of muscle. This is why I mention the disability when making contact with a WG.

Advice for WG

TLC could do with more providers so please register I check regularly to see if any new profiles have appeared. Also new and updated profiles give the feeling that the site has an active community which will draw in more punters.

Even a simple line on a profile saying that you are happy to see a disabled person really helps me want to make contact. Also I have no problem if a lady says on a profile that they are not happy to see someone with a disability, I just simply move on and so far have only come across one such profile.

Rather than a tick box on wheelchair access, a simple line like

"If you have a disability you are welcome to ring and discuss, 99% of the time it will be fine though"

Is much better as well as the option of an outcall

A warm heart and an understanding approach are some of the main things i look for.

So far I have had 10 punts and cant tell you how much I love this scene, totally comfortable meeting new WG. I can’t believe how concerned I was before I started.

Although I now really want to attend a party, but my old concerns about how i look especially in a group environment are coming to the front again, any advice would be much appreciated hopefully I will give it a go.

Thanks for reading

Indian Voyeur

I agree that TLC Trust needs more ladies to advertise on it (hopefully this thread will help do that), as I regularly get emails from gents who are very far away from London (recently Crewe, Manchester, Bristol, Belfast) who cannot find a disabled friendly escort that they like the look of on TLC Trust because there are so few ladies (if any) listed in their areas or surrounding areas.

Totally agree re this becoming a sticky thread.

The resources on TLC Trust are really helpful, for both WG's and disabled clients, definitely worth a read by all.

I agree "Lydia" while the sex is nice a cuddle and a hug is just as important, the female touch and warmth relieves the stress.

Thanks Madam B for bringing this site to attention again!

I was the second escort listed on TLC about 6yrs ago, due to a conversation on another forum. I think Pru was the first. I did post about TLC here years ago, and several ladies joined after that, so it reaped some rewards!

It had/has a chat forum which was/is lacking....and I tried to get it going, but it was like trying to get blood out of a stone! I felt as if I looked like a tout, when all I was really trying to do, was instigate some chatting amongst the people who could really benefit. Posts on music, films, anything...I tried!

What doesn't help is...the site design is very outdated. When one lands on the front page, it's offputting...it looks so old and naff. I thought... anyone looking would think the info was old and naff too. And leave...?

I should have had a word with Tuppy...but how do you tell someone their site looks...erm...?

It would be fantastic if Galahad could link it here...? It would be found so much more!

Madam B...that man you met didn't know about it, so thank you so much for being the catalyst in bringing this to everyone's attention again!

I was just talking about this to Jemma Fox a week ago, we were concocting an idea of how to make TLC more relevant to the people who would benefit.

I do meet boys from there, so it does work for people, but they all agree...it looks naff, and they almost clicked off!

Im listed on TLC and have met some lovely guys through it. It would be great if we could promote this site more and get more sex workers on it. Ive got links to it on my site and also Escort Buddys, but Im sure there is more we can do on an individual basis and as a forum.

I've been talking to Tuppy and she's asked me to do some Uni speaking for her, so maybe I can mention the TLC site. I see Penny is tweeting away getting ladies to sign up to offer services on there. I shall as well.

I'm making disabled clients and an awareness of where they can get their needs met my top priority. This essential section of the business seems to be ignored by the public, but once they start to think about it, natural compassion and a gratitude towards the sex workers who help the disabled deal with their needs comes to the fore.

This was part 3 of a 4 part series I did for BBC Radio this week and focuses on the needs of disabled punters. It was very well received.
