Should a Freedom of Information Request be made about Punternet

3 posts in this topic

Harriet Harman's ill-informed rant against this website makes me wonder, party conference whoop-ho-ing aside, what government institutions really think about this website, if anything.

There is a good chance she could be caught in a lie, I think.

The website whatdotheyknow.com makes it relatively easy to make a Freedom of Information request. I think anyone could do it; but perhaps best if it can from someone formally associated with the website?

I don't really understand what the point is you are trying to make. Harriet Harman already has zero credibility - the week before the Labour conference the Treasury had to correct her hours after she claimed that "businessmen" were able to clain tax relief on taking clients to lapdancing clubs.

Call me a cynic but does anyone else think that all the fuss about Punternet has given every MP (and their husbands) a perfect excuse to log-on in the name of "research" and has provided a smoke screen for all of those who may have been using the site for its proper purpose in the recent past? :)
