Hotel Reviews!

7 posts in this topic

I saw a regular client last week for an extended booking and booked a hotel I had never been to before.

When checking in, I noticed there was a connecting door to the room next to us which is always a bit of a bummer but it did not sound like there was anybody in there. A good time was had but the room was extremely cold and out of curiousity I went onto the booking site a couple of days after to see if anybody had complained about the same thing.

Found a review on the day I was there which said:

Intercommunicating door in room which allowed everything to be heard from adjoining room.

Oooops! Looks like that hotel is scrapped for future use

Did they say on the review if that was a positive or a negative Pia?

Connecting doors aren't normally that unusual, especially in chain hotels, normally they are thick enough to keep noise down.

It was a negative! Breakfast was a positive.

I have been in rooms with connecting doors before - they are always a pain as generally there is more sound coming through. I have never come across any thick connecting doors unfortunately. :(
