Forgot To Bring Condoms

47 posts in this topic

Had a hotel outcall with a young lady the other day who has only recently taken up escorting. The booking had been arranged 5 hours previously. She forgot to bring condoms with her. I popped out and got some locally so there was no problem. This struck me as extremely unusual, as being new to the profession, I would have thought this would have been the absolute last thing she would have forgotten.! Was this really odd or just 'one of those things ' do you think ?

Condoms are the tools of a WGs trade just as a spanner is a mechanics, they really shouldnt be forgetting such an important thing, its punting basics. In this case perhaps she was nervous being new. I always have condoms with me in a sealed packet for this scenario but over 98% of WGs have condoms in my experience. :)

I've encountered this three time, well sort off.

One genuinely forgot, so like you I just popped out and bought some.

The other two didn't forget, they just text me to tell me that they didn't like shopping for them so could I provide them! Cheeky but honest.

You can get them for free at the Clinic! I don't understand not buying safety equipment.

Forgetting is just human error.

Well, turning up without them, that's like a £100 an hour outcall from a plumber who turns round to you and says "Have you got an adjustable basin wrench mate, I didn't bother to bring mine". Very unprofessional.

Believe me condoms is usually the ONE thing a new girl forgets. In the whirl of make up, stockings, shoes, makeup, hair straighteners and a plethora of other useless but deamed important things girls pack to bring to their first day at work then the nitty gritty gets overlooked. Girls are often worrying how they will compare to the beauties they see on the website or lost in a fumble of nervousness x

Many girls who have worked for a long time have occasionally turned up to work and all i hear from the girls room is "shit i forgot my condoms or damn i forgot to buy lube", it happens so whereas its a great inconvenience to the client on an outcall as this girl is new I think you should give her a break here. After the embarassment of a client having to go out to buy his own johnies I doubt she will forget again..at least for a good while anyway.x

Really odd - unless she's sexually educated sub normal. Tools of the trade. The plumber simile just about sums it up.

On the other hand being new usually means being amatureish by definition and lessons will probably be learned. There is the onus on yourself to assume responsibility for your own sexual health and carry your own protection in the form of condoms. You are as much at fault yourself by expecting her to assume responsibility for your own health.

Carry some and you wont get caught out or carried away and end up on a hard chair outside the consultants room at the local ST clinic.

As another poster in another world would say......some peoples Great expectations!

This happened to me once with a lady I used to see regularly. We were meeting in Venice where I was doing some work and when I met her at the airport she admitted that she'd meant to buy some condoms at Boots at Gatwick but had forgotten.

So we checked into the hotel and went out to find a pharmacia. In a tiny back-lane we found one, it was straight out of the 1950s with an 80 year old Italian granny behind the till. We had to ask for preservativos and with a black look we were pointed to a dusty display in the corner. The grannie took the box and proceeded to wrap it up in a sheet of brown paper, carefully and slowly sellotaping the package shut. My lady was very embarrassed, it was just how it must have been for my Dad buying condoms in the 1950s.

Had this happen almost twice.

First time she couldn't find any so nipped out to get some, leaving me all alone in her own flat, not a working pad.

Second time was a 3 hour outcall to my place (different girl ) after 10 minutes of frantically searching her bags she could only find one !! No chance of buying some, nearest place open at that time of night to me is about 15 miles away

Thanks Chloe. Yes, she is new and she does not officially advertise, she just does it quietly as a member on a local board. I told her not to worry about it at all and I just popped into the car and drove to a local shop, so I was back in 10 mins. I was a bit nervous about the booking in the first place I suppose,as she is the first local girl I have ever booked, so perhaps this just threw me a bit at the start. It wasnt a problem and she was absolutely wonderful and I had a very memorable booking.

In some situations, it is intentional!!

I once booked a girl for a 2hr outcall and she ended up bringing only ONE condom.

That way she felt she did not have towork for the full 2hrs in order to earn her fee!!

Yes, you are right I suppose Helen -- I just always expect the escort to bring the condoms and this has been the case in all bookings I have ever attended. How far does one take this though ? I never check the brand of condom opened by the escort. Maybe I should ? Maybe I should insist on using me own but I always went on the basis that the escort would be more comfortable with her own decisions on condoms. One did break some time ago -- didnt like that !!

Yes, thats why it took me aback a bit but to be fair I booked this girl because she was new to the business, so I am happy to accept that she may have forgotten in the nervousness of it all.

Yep,I think I will have to bring me own from now on, it makes sense. Its just another item to have to remember !

I agree with Chloe -- newbies (and indeed veterans) sometimes forget essential bits and pieces. It happens. For her own sake, I hope this lady remembers them in future.

(On the subject of the one-condom situation above: that would never do for me! I manage to go through way more condoms than a lot of girls I know, partly because I'm doing OW, but also because I change the condom if I'm even slightly worried that it's been on too long/ been snagged/ has a little bit of air in/ was stretched while being put on/ cross contamination ... am I paranoid? :P)

…as being new to the profession, I would have thought this would have been the absolute last thing she would have forgotten.! Was this really odd or just 'one of those things ' do you think ?

And being new to a job is when the mistakes are most likely to be made I would have thought. I’d put it down to just one of those things.

You can get them for free at the Clinic!...

True, but I do think that if someone is working as an escort they should buy them rather than get them free from the clinic. After all they are a tax deductable expense, and if someone is too embarrassed to go to the shops and buy them there are reputable places online such as here:

I agree. I buy mine, but turning up & effectively saying "I'm embarrassed, so you buy the condoms & pay me" is disrespectful to the client. From a public health perspective, sex workers having & using condoms is vital.

Even if she's new. she should have the sense to bring condoms with her.

It's pretty vital really, in fact I'd say condoms are your most important piece of kit!

Only had this once. She had been on top of me and started to insert me. I said not without a condom. She said I don't have any but never mind you can fuck me anyway! Run for the hills thinks I. So I did.

Last time I checked her profile she was openly doing bb, shame really as she was a nice lass and up for anything.

Essential part of our tool kit but I've heard several stories of new girls forgetting them, it happens, we are human beings after all ^_^

On the subject of punters bringing their own - I wouldn't allow the use of anybody else's condoms during my work as you never know what has happened to it prior to it's arrival! Maybe with regulars whom I have built a level of trust with, but never with a one-off punter! Always buy mine either on the NHS site or supermarket or Boots if I get caught short (so to speak), rarely have that problem though as I tend to buy several hundred at a time! LOL!

question-newbie here.

Do WG bring condoms or are you expected to bring them? I don't want to bring it up and ask but then I don't want to assume and find out she was expecting me to bring them lol.

Sits on a calculator trying to work out how many clients Diana sees in a week/month. lol.

I would have thought that if a girl is too embarrassed to go to a shop and buy condoms then she would also be too embarrassed to get naked with a total stranger and have sex with him.
