20 posts in this topic

....as it is an iPhone, texts stay on phone rather than the sim, so not really gained a great deal. Anyone got a solution perchance? Thanks

Already got two phones, a third might be hard to explain! Easier to hide a sim card than a phone + charger and in any case smartphone functionality is v useful. But thanks for the suggestion. Cheers

Just thinking outside the box, why not instead of using a different sim in your phone, could you not use the Skype text service, that way you can send a text from your phone, with no danger of receiving a reply at a time when you don’t want to receive a reply, you can then log in to skype at anytime (even on your pc) to check your replies

How does this work when he wants to phone the girl?Does it result in a wierd looking number?

This is a classic case of technology getting the better of the user. I would also have advocated getting a simple PAYG phone. That's what I use with no problems. It may not be as high tech as some of my friends but it is secure!

you would normally set up your skype so as it gives your normal mobile number when you send a text, that would not be good in this case, but you can get a skype number, then received incoming texts would be there waiting when you next log in

Is there not a setting to store them on sim only?

i dont have a punting phone. i just have the numbers on i need and delete them, the call history and the texts on way home post punt. I have never had unwanted textx, and mrs CP doesnt look at my ohone anyway. If i had separate phones and or sim cards i would just get in a mess, unsng the wrong sim card for the wrong call etc. Just being secure deleting stuff is safer.

i also regularaly turn my phone off, especially when driving, so not getting through is something she is used to. but then again i am not one of those people who gets a nose bleed when more then 2 metres from an electronic device!.

Delete the texts?

What, and forgo the joys of rereading "I wanna suck your cock"? You seriously underestimate just how abject some of us are!

Do escorts send such texts?!

If my friends & I are sexting, it's generally as a joke, to a male friend, to mess up his relationship.

My regulars send me texts. It's lovely to think there's someone out there thinking of your, um... wallet.

Indeed Mr Bloom you have landed on the nub of my conundrum, Sir. An erudite missive, such as you describe, should not be despatched a mere whim and touch of the delete button, but should be chershed and savour like a fine wine, laid down to be sampled at some later, apposite time!

Plus it's quite horny! Hee, Hee ! Thanks for contributions all.

As Lara says, why not delete the texts?

Provided the girl doesnt text again touting for biz you should be ok. I insist on discretion and if I am seing girl again, she get;s saved as a local garage or car parts supplier.

As a possible solution to all the issues. How about you just stop the option to get texts at all.

You can use an Iphone app (which for those cuious also works on blackberries and android phones too)

http://spoofapp.com/

What this does is it allows you to makup a mobie number out of thin air. And this is the number the escort will see on her phone when you are phoning her.

So for example your simcards real mobile number is; 07111111111

Using this app you can makuep a new number out of thin air; 0722222222

When you phone the escort the only number that will be on the phone is the 072222222. She will never see nor have access to the 07111111.

This means she cannot call you back, or text you as the number does not exist that is on her phone.

As this involves subterfuge to the escort this suggestion might be frowned upon by the mods. So sorry if so. But it was genuinly said just to help out the OP. And its the same really as a throwaya pay as you go sim.

If however you need to have texting opton. I am surprised nobody has suggested to just backup the texts then delete them? For example a good app to do this is phoneview but there are many others. Using this will avoid the risks of Itunes syncing the texts to your PC.

This can backup your SMS chats to PDF so you can view them on your PC or put them back on the Iphone to view as PDF

You could replace one of your existing phones with a new one that accepts 2 or more sim cards or else get a double sim card adaptor which I would not recommend. The adaptor might not fit your phone and to switch sim cards you have to restart the phone.

Had a Htc Desire for 2 years plus various other phones and sims, but decided it was time to get organised so have recently bought this Dual Sim http://www.chinavasion.com/android-smartphones/velox-3g-android-23-smartphone-with-43-inch-hd-screen-high-power-cpu/ which works very well, moved over to Three and Giffgaff from Orange. Sorted.

Just delete the thread, that's all I used to do. I don't have an iphone, but it is really simple on Android. Likewise with booking calls.

I now actually have a punting phone, its my old LG dim phone which I had before getting the HTC. The advantage of that is I can just turn it on when I need too without any worry of missing important calls. Swapping the SIM is all well and good, but they are not really designed to be changed often and it means my main number is off line, which could be hard to explain.

If you set up a number of Skype, say your number off his PAYG SIM, then it shows up on texts and calls made via Skype.
