Tv On During Punt?

32 posts in this topic

From time to time - thankfully not too often - I've encountered WGs who leave the TV on in their bedroom during a session. I tend to find this a bit trying and distracting - but maybe others disagree? Maybe some people actually like this?

Having said which, a couple of years ago, a WG and I retired to her living room following round 1 for a break, a drink and a little chat on her sofa. The TV in the living room was playing a rather dull-looking film, albeit with the sound turned down very low. After a while our chat led on to some stroking, cuddling and kissing, and in time she slipped down and started giving me a very enjoyable BJ. At which point, a girl in the film also began to give her boyfriend a BJ... while a serial killer sneaked up on them brandishing a large knife. I had a clear view of this; the WG, obviously, did not. For a while I found the situation quite amusing, then eventually I pointed it out to the WG. She laughed and we adjourned to the bedroom.

More so in the past many SPs had porn playing on the TV usually with no sound, i didnt mind that being on but i usually punt in the daytime 121 and dont want to be seeing makeover shows or quizzes on and prefer the TV off. So if its porn no problem, if its not TV off. ;)

I had a session with one of my Subs & watched Eastenders, with him as a foot-stool.

Porn is a bit more common, sure, though these days I'm not a big fan of that during a punt either. But no, what I'm talking about here is regular TV.

Fine, if you want a more detailed description: car parked in secluded woodland spot at night, boy and girl sitting in front, some kissing and heavy petting, girl leans over and her face disappears out of shot, head begins to move up and down, boy adopts suitably happy expression, cut to shot of unidentified man advancing with kitchen knife or similar, then back to couple in car and so on... OK?

Quite often guys staying in hotels will have the TV on as 'background noise', depending upon the programme content this can be interesting or distracting. I'd prefer the radio channels as a safer, sexier option.

So what was Philip Scholfield doing in a car parked in a secluded woodland spot?? Was it an item about woodland creatures? I can only summise the unidentified man was Eamonn Holmes trying to get his old job back.

It was an evening punt, and already well after the watershed when this film came on. Way past Mr Schofield's bedtime, I imagine.

I wonder, however, if he is aware of your obsession with him? Maybe we should try to get the two of you together...

Which was more humiliating, I wonder - being used as a footstool or having to watch Eastenders?

I would share a pint with him if he gave me Holly's phone number!

Hate it, even worse than loud music or the radio playing during a booking, and I always get a wg to turn the volume down on the stereo if its obtrusive (politely and in a gently persuasive manner of course, so as not to upset the mood)

Even if its porn I cant stand the distraction

I was bought up to learn that it isn't polite to have the telly on when you have guests over (unless they are coming over specifically to watch something with you obviously) so the concept of having the telly on when a client comes over is totally alien to me and the height of rudeness!

Didn't you see the piece himself and Holly "butter wouldn't melt" did the other week ?

They were demonstrating reverse cowgirl as a good position for ladies with body confidence issues.

I laughed like a demented donkey at Holly trying to appear prim and proper.

I guess some of the values my parents instilled in me have stuck... the one about only having sex with someone you're in love with and in a proper relationship with fell by the wayside!

I can't stand to have the TV on unless I am glued to the programme. I try to turn it off if I get the chance when punting. Low level music isn't too bad.

Maybe you should have the Television on during the Euro's, with the volume higher then usual....."He shoots, he scores" will take on a whole you meaning, especially if the guy attempts to celebrate afterwards...

Same with me. I don't think a TV is suitable as "background"; it's on for a purpose, whether that's to inform, entertain or whatever.

Yep,

and after a really hot overnight with a regular recently (no tv, no background radio or player),

I got a scribbled note under the door "please keep the noise down at night"

I took a piccie of the note (+ some of her take-in food as proof) and send it to her in the mail for laffs.

was tempted to post it on the blog as well, but then, the person who put the note may well read the blog...

Can't really explain why but I must admit I prefer to have some kind of low background noise. Prefer porn if possible (not that I would be watching it but I find the sound of people having sex a real turn on). If porn is not available then just a music channel or TV turned down low.
