Should we have a British Sex Political Party?

9 posts in this topic

With the launch of the Canadian Sex Party a couple of years ago and Australian Sex Party last year do you think we should have our own Sex Party? I think that the feminist fundamentalists are in every political systems and political wings and are silencing the feminists who are sex positive and feminists who don't share their views.

The only downside that I see for a Sex positive party here is that the newspapers that suck up to the feminist fundies along with the newspapers that sucks up to the religious fundies will do anything they can to give it bad publicity even if they have to make up stuff. Any thoughts or ideas about having a sex political party here.

Great idea but you have to obey loads of legislation and the new deposits for a general election are now going to be £2000. Can we really find someone with £2k to blow for when they loose their deposit?:)

I would say pressure groups of any kind do work .THE gays made so many advances ,cos of groups such as STONEWALL and its activities .

IF the punters of this country do not stand up and be counted ,it will end up like norway and sweden.

agreed,as long as punters stay silent,it gives the impression that there is no opposition to criminalising indoor paid sex, thankfully the english collective of prostitutes & international union of sex workers are campaigning hard against the proposed legislation.

punters should stand up for sex workers rights(especially female) to sell sex in a safe & secure environment

there is a sexual freedom coalition by the way

I imagine it's a case of 'once bitten twice shy' if my experience with Lindi St Clair and the 'Corrective Party' in 1992 is anything to go by. I'm still waiting for the T-shirt I ordered.. fraudster.

Why Labour is prudish about sex

However, recent developments in Australia, coupled with a serious Labour obsession with sex - quite distinct from gender - raise the question of whether the issue might not eventually find its way on to the UK political agenda as a vote-winner (or loser) in its own right.

For gays it was easier to stand up and be counted, cos they had their partners support.

I don't think MrsC will appreciate me going to a punters rally.

Here in lies the problem.

I am aware of various sex-positive and sexual freedom groups here in the UK that do that, I was just wondering if a political party could also help a little that's all and wanted to know what you think about it. The thing is all of the feminist fundie groups along with the religious fundie groups are very wealthy so that means they can easily fake the research they do to make it look genuine.

I imagine that the reason why that so many punters don't want to be stand up and be counted is because that if there are people who support the feminist fundie groups who are under cover they could take photos of everyone there and sell them to the newspapers, post them on the internet, etc. Even though there are also many sex positive people including people who are not sex workers, people who are not punters, people who are not in the sex industry (and people who don't know anyone in the sex industry) that are sex positive in general. If they also try to help then the feminist fundies will say nasty things about them and will do everything they can to make their lives a misery. That is proof that feminist fundies are very similar to religious fundies.

I don't think the public in general realise that we are against people who are in the sex industry against their will, we are against people who are in the sex industry who are under age, we are against people who are in the sex industry that have problems (drug addicts as an example). We want to make sure that the dark side of the sex industry is seperate from the general/ good side of the sex industry and that the dark side of the sex industry must be destroyed. Of course those sexual freedom hating moron ignore that and wants to make people think that the sex industry as a whole is bad.

The media always shows the dark side of the sex industry which pleases the feminist fundies, of course the only time the public sees the other side of the industry are TV shows like 'Secret Diary Of A Call Girl'. Feminist fundies moaned about that show saying it is complete fiction and a myth of the sex industry. I doubt they would have said that if there is a similar series that has a male escort in the show instead of a female escort.
