Money For Sex - Why Not?

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this. A positive article in yesterday's Torygraph by Hannah Betts. (The Weekend section.)

It's focused on Brooke, and I'm happy she's happy & married & living in the Highlands.

I can't, however, bring myself to be happy, nor grateful, for an article that almost treats one of my jobs as normal.

I'm not happy with the stigma, nor am I so unhappy with the stigma that I'm grateful for a bit less.

Nor should you be, but bearing in mind the stigma you mention has probably existed for at least a couple of millennia then it may be the case that articles with this tone are baby steps on the way to more general acceptance.

When I was in my early teens I couldn't understand that if someone wanted to sell sex and someone else wanted to pay for it, and they were both happy to do so, then why was that illegal? It turns out it actually isn't, but I think there's still a basic assumption amongst the populace that it somehow must be.

Standard advice for you, Lara - if you ain't happy try a new career. Anyway, think how embarassing it must be to have to own up to being a banker or a politician.

Excuse me? Did I say I was unhappy being an escort, a student or with my clothed job? No, I did not!

I am happy. I don't like the stigma escorts experience, nor the stigma students experience, but that isn't really a deterrent. I guess that's why I am not doing Cartwells over this article. I accept the disapproval & get on with my life.

Shove your "advice" where the sun doesn't shine!

I have no problem with the concept of money for sex. Any lady wishing to pay for my services would certainly not offend me.
