Olympic Escorts - It Had To Happen

52 posts in this topic

I guess someone had to do it. I noticed this morning that there is now an agency advertsing as "Olympic Escorts 2012".

Dreading this coming summer in London because of the madness and congestion that will descend along with the Olympics. Now it's even infiltrating my most private hobby!

Maybe all the agencies should just change their names for the duration to things like "Dressage Escorts", "Marathon Girls", "Rhythmic Dolls" and we punters should litter our reports with similar Olympic euphemisms. (Feel the synchronised gymastics, diving, wrestling and weight lifting worlds will have the most to offer in this regard.)

I wouldnt be at all surprised if this Agency receive a terminal visit from the police bearing in mind they are actively raiding brothels as part of a so called clean-up.

Agree totally. If they operate in east london , they will already be on the hit list .

A couple of weeks back I had dinner with a Wg and her bf who operate close to the olympic park . She had two visits from the police and told to move her business out of london before this summer . She is now out of London . Another wg had the same thing happen . I was told all the wg advertising have their mobiles logged and are tolerated and monitered , but have been told to clean up ready for the olympics.

They would not be taken into the courts , although running multiple girls in the same flats , but their landlords informed, losing the landlord refs .

She was told it was ok to return , after all the tourists have gone home .

I'm surprised it's still up, not because it is to do with escorting, but knowing how protective the 'Olympic family' is about the words 'Olympics', 'London 2012' and the use of their logo :P

It always surprises me when people say they think it's going to be awful. I am really looking forward to it. I think London will buzz and be a great place to be for those 3 weeks.

I'm not even going to think of trying to punt for those 3 weeks though.

Well, I'll be dipping my 'toe' along the South Coast.

Indeed and this Agency even refer to the Olympics on their site specifically, this would no doubt go down as well as a bucket of warm sick.:)

Interesting insight Worldpunter, thanks. :)

Far more likely to get LOCOG on the doorstep, wanting a fat fee to use the word Olympic

At best, they'll get a firm request to take the website down immediately. At worst, if they continue after this, they'll be hammered by LOCOG's lawyers into submission.

Mind you, maybe they know all this already, and are enjoying some clever extra publicity until they are asked to stop :)

Yep Dollymopp seems shrewd...I like it.

I think if she makes it more about a blog *reporting* on the olympics and is more careful about her words she will be fine. The IOC cant stop any of us reporting on the olympics.

I saw a chap running with the olympic torch a few weeks back in potters bar - got a photo of him - looking knackered and pissed off!

There more likely to get a call form the police about the name, olympic escorts

Olympic is a brand name, and is currently being protect by 2012 games protection law

If the Thought Police do pounce (anybody here who hasn't yet read 1984, please do so, swiftly!) then it shouldnt be that difficult to find a new name and a symbol of seven linked condoms or whatever!

Older members may remember that there was once a BBC soap called "Crossroads"? ( I never watched an, even one, episode.) There was, apparently, a half-witted gofer called "Benny" who wore a wee wooly bonnet, just like most male Kelpers wore (kelpers are what the inhabitants of the Falkland Islands like to be called.)

So the soldiery started calling the locals "Bennys", and management told them not to. So the boys described them as "people who aren't Bennys"!

Crossroads was on ITV. ;)

That's hardly a journalist writing a news blog, though :P

It is clever, and good luck to her, but once LOCOG get wind of it it won't last long.

Infringements on that site include:

- The word 'Olympics' in the site name

- The sub-header 'London Escort for the London 2012 Olympics'

- The use of the London 2012 logo (within the lead photo)

- The way the whole blog is set up to associate itself with the Olympics in order to promote other business interests (escorting! ). The site is basically 'ambush marketing'

The Olympics is a brand and they will protect their brand just like any other multi-billion pound organisation would.

You wouldn't expect to be able to get away with doing the same thing but instead using Nike, McDonalds, Apple, etc.

She should perhaps, in the meantime, consider using some alternative key words (London, summer, athletics, sports, track and field, Stratford, etc) to base the blog around for when it does get pulled :)

Never mind about the dolly site

(I like her one: sexy london olympic escort dot wordpress dot com... It is a pointer to other sympathetic, well established indies around London)

Dollymopp Rocks - kuddos to Her!

Curious as I am, I also just stumled across several others:

v london escorts dot co dot uk : who show up with a page titled "olympic escorts 2012"

(cut-throat prices of 110/hr outcall, but with a hidden taxi-fare cost - that labels them as a possible racket, in my opinion)

olympic escort agency dot com : definitely will get into © problems.

(green site, with 300 and even 500 gbp/hr outcall rates. golddiggers, good luck to them)

Just told about this thread and so, I will be back to answer, shortly. You're not reporting anything that I haven't thought of, myself... ;)

It's not an agency, very scary how people jump to conclusions. Looking forward to Dolly's response, I'm flattered to have been included on her links list of good independents around the country.
