Hello again Punternet people :)

I am really interested to hear all the ladies opinions, experiences and thoughts on this one, but also interested in hearing the gents thoughts too.

How many ladies on here have professional qualifications and were doing quite a well paid, possibly high profile job?. Are you still doing it or did you give it up to do this full time.and why?

I myself do have a professional, probably quite specialised job but if I am honest I am happier being an escort. Why? well for one there isn't the endless paperwork! but also I have had so many experiences and met so many interesting people that I just would never have in my other life...for example I was sipping Dom perignon with a very interesting man from Switzerland the other night and we went on to have a fantastic night. I have met so many interesting people, had some amazing experiences and mostly really enjoyed all of it. Yes there has been the odd occasion where I have met someone not so nice, perhaps a little difficult but overall, genuinely, I love doing this. Isn't life about experiencing as much as you can?. Seeing, learning, experiencing different things. I can honestly say that I would never have experienced half of what I have if I hadn't gone into this industry. Also, do you think we have a shelf life?. Having looked around I see a desire for all ages although it does seem that the younger lady is more in demand. How many of you prefer older/younger. I am pretty much thirties myself and although I have always looked after myself very well and probably look younger I wonder if my age will hinder me.

Thirty to forty is an excellent age for a WG, I think, but with pensionable age getting higher and higher, there's quite a gap between forty-odd and retirement in which it must be hard to get back into a career if punters become fewer.

Before the Credit Crunch I was in Banking. Now I've just finished my BA & started escorting hoping to fund my MA. I do a bit of Consulting & have found a more straightforward way of funding for my Masters, so I'm not dependent on clients for my education.

This is a very short-term thing for me. It's good fun & gives me interesting insights. I've never been promiscuous as a "civilian" & this is, for me, an acceptable way of enjoying variety.

I would also like to add that this topic came from a conversation I had with a few people recently. We were discussing the issue of do people/do we really know what we want in life and he said confidently...yes people do know what they want but they are too afraid to do it/say it. Having thought about what he said for some time, I think he was right. His own reasons were ...I have a family, I have responsibilities but I know what I want..I know what I desire.

I prefer ladies who have a more distinguished background. More interesting to talk to and easier to relate to. I reckon you're best to have a "portfolio" career, so you have options going forward and aren't completely off the career ladder so to speak.

As long as you enjoy your encounters, Sophie, carry on. Not every man is looking for a dim-witted bimbo - many of us are quite selective in our choices. Some of the finest sex I have had in my long life has been with "mature" women. My favourite "regular" is 53 and the sex with her can be mind-blowing (as it was last Tuesday!).

I'll be 24 in August. I went into Banking as an A-Level trainee.

Slightly more "mature" ( 30's and 40's ) Ladies with a good brain as well as a good body "do it for me "

I'm more than happy to fund their further education, if that's why they are here :)

If they have "retired" from other good jobs, to make more money as escorts, ( and sip an occasional glass of Dom Perignon, Sophie ? ), what ever does this say about the modern world ?

Cynical Old Man here, you understand ?

I used to have a 'proper' career and sort of intended to pick that up again but the idea of working for someone else, having to do the 9-5, commute, deal with office politics, shitty bosses, annoying staff and so on makes it a much less attractive option than escorting! I try not to think too far into the future though!

I punt with WGs i fancy so they can be between 18 and 50 ish even older if they look good to me. Some WGs i have punted with have been WGs for many years as their FRs showed, i dont think there is a shelf life if you still wish to do the job and i assume enjoying doing it helps.

I wouldnt imagine your age will hinder you at all, 30s is very popular with some punters as shown by FR and threads and posts on here over the years.

What else a WG does when not with me is her business and i dont pry, some talk about training for different things and good luck to them, my interest is the sex but i am quite happy to chat in the breaks. :)

The OP's thread raises a whole host of issues, which will depend on the girl/woman. I have just responded to a thread where someone was looking for a grandmother WG so there is no retirement date set in stone, although I would imagine that business is slow in that age range!

The danger for the girl is that she gets "sucked in " by the easy money and cannot break away in order to achieve a "normal" life later. My advice would be to have another career and "cover your tracks" if you want to, need to.

Your comments about the richness of experience are to a large extent illusiory. You are "forced" to take an interest in someone, whom you would ignore in almost all other social circumstances, and discover that they are "interesting". As Coleridge said, the biography of a simple peasant would be interesting (if anyone wrote it!). What you describe as a richness of experience may also impoverish you because society "marginalises" you and you may not achieve a full social life (i.e., husband and 2.2 children or whatever) and companionship in old age (this is some people's ideal, I and a lot of others have not achieved it).

As you grow older, your options narrow (at 40 you are unlikely to be able to retrain as an airline pilot) so your personal strategy should be to delay this process as far as possible. Another career gives you another option. Identifying yourself openly (which you do not) as a particpant in an industry that society at large considers as "beyond the pale" will clearly limit your options, which is why most WGs protect their privacy. However, there is always a risk of "outing"...by jealous boyfriends/clients or even WGs.

Coming back to the career issue, anyone who is in a highly paid job would be foolish to become a WG (they would have a lot to lose) but if you are in a less well paid job, this career may allow you to accumulate capital fast.

In an informal survey of WGs on the original board, a large number seemed to be involved in social/caring professions.

Hi Jack, you make some very interesting points but I started this thread really to hear others experiences because on a very bad day at work I can see how tempting it could be to become an escort full time. There is the flexibility, the money and the fact that when you have left a client that's it. In many other jobs, the job goes home with you. A savvy escort could potentially make a lot of money in a short space of time, retire from escorting and go into something else without the pressure of money worries...she could do something she really loves.

Having read back through my original post, I think my example of drinking Champagne with an interesting man was a bad one. What I was trying to say was that I have had a lot of very good experiences doing this..not all good no, but 99% good and I have met some really interesting people. Many of those people I have learned something from. The example I gave was me trying to say that I have done things that I don't normally do in my everyday life and life I believe is about experiencing as much as you possibly can. Life is short after all.

Personally I wouldn't give up my day job, despite it being stressful at times I love it and worked very hard to get it. I also don't see myself doing this forever. I have particular goals that I have set myself and once I have reached them I will stop. I would still like to hear from ladies who decided that they did want to give up their job and what their experience has been.

i think the big question you have to ask yourself is how to regain your civvie career after a period of full time WGing. Having a gap in your cv will be an issue for many employers, so i think keeping your toe in the civvie water to keep your cv experience gapless is a good idea, as is doing a further degree.

I think you are wrong when you say you think the younger woman is in demand more.

It is forums that say that, most blokes who buy sex are not even on forums.

ALL women are in demand!

I did not start doing this until the ripe old age of 47, I celebrated my second anniversary of being Lucy7 a few weeks ago.

If you think being a lady in her 30s even though you look younger will hinder you, you are wrong Sophie.

The only trouble is with ladies in their 20s/30s is that they are one of very many escorts who fall in to that age category.

The good will survive and get regular bookings no doubt, whilst many others will fall by the wayside.

I personally have another form of income and would never give up that business.

This escorting business can not be sold on, while the other one can.

This is not a career at all, it is a life style choice of how you wish to earn some money.

Not all could handle the bits and bobs that go with it.

Also you are taking yourself away from a lot of good things that come from being in the work place.

Socialising and meeting others is a very important factor in my opinion in having a job.

You are not going to meet many friends or a boyfriend this way at all.

The chap above raises a valid point about if you take time out of real work you then have a gap in our CV

Do you have a web site Sophie, so we can know who you are in your escort persona please?

You can link it to your profile page.
