How Welcome Are Non-uk Persons To Post On This Forum?

24 posts in this topic

I am a Mumbai resident and a member here since past 2 years. I have been visiting UK 5-6 times during past 2 years and hence have been experienced with few WG in UK, of course very less compared to most members here. Which I have punted in many countries my most experiences are with WG in India. Hence some of my experiences may not be reflective of experiences of punters in UK.

I have been reading a lot of discussions here and various topics. I have tried to contribute to the forum from my views. However I sometimes wonder are these view welcomed here. Do I understand the mindset of people in UK to actually try and put my point? Should all discussions here be in context to punting scene in UK?

You come from Planet Earth, which is more than can be said for some posters.

You have as much right to share as anyone else. We all have different experiences & perspectives, it is what makes life interesting.

You got that right Lara.

I would think any input is welcome, but obviously most people here want to discuss the UK scene mainly, although Thailand comes up quite a lot...

There is a'rest of the world' forum too, where Indian specific topics could be posted.

Goodness, I think you will be as welcome as anyone else and more so than many.

I don't think anyone here would claim the right to say who should post or not.

With India getting so much coverage with the cricket at present and the occasional references to life in the big cities there, I could think of a few questions to ask you.

And your views on the entire range of subjects on this forum are at least as valuable as anyone's.

i hope that gets my point across - you are welcome!

PS Don't, however, comment on whether Milton Keynes is the centre of the UK punting universe; it can only end in tears :P

i think someone from abroad commenting on the brit scene could often have insights lost on those who live here. whether you always start your posts stating where u live is up to you.

and of course your knowledge of punting in india is invaluable to those going there.

Everyone who can observe the rules is welcome as far as i am concerned, the more the merrier. Personally i am only interested in the UK punting scene, there is a Rest of the World board for non-UK so my posts reflect where i punt. I am sure others are interested in the laws and goings on in India though. This board is of course called UK and Ireland General Discussion.

I very much look forward to hearing what the scene in Mumbai is like and what local Indian WGs are like.

In the main, the discussions on this site is about punting in the UK, and if you have experience of this then I would suggest that you are most welcome to post your views. It doesn't follow that you have to live in the UK to have punting experience in the UK. And as others have pointed out, there is the Rest of the World forum for discussion about punting outside the UK.

So, whichever way you cut it, you are welcome to recount your experiences and opinion on this site.

Thank to all for sweet comments.

I am from mumbai but not I am not a cop. At times I was on a job assignment which was a bit of cop-ish. But I am a technical guy and thats why I come to UK for my business work. I am not from IT or software field but actually work on machines with screwdrivers and tools.

Regarding posting in India forum in rest of world, I feel there is little or no information there and also most information there is of little use to guys coming to India. As said by me in lots of post earlier, punting in Mumbai was really great few years ago with very affordable options. This was for parlours which still offer services for 15 pounds for 30 mins but are not many left due to police action.Earlier 3-4 years ago it was only 5-6 pounds for 30 min in parlours.

Now - a - days I feel UK is sometimes cheaper when we compare rates of Indies here, which is like 80-200 pounds for 1 hour for acceptable service and quality. Looking at the standard of living difference between mumbai and UK it is really strange that punting is similar priced at both places. Even Red light districts here rates are similar to soho prices. Thats strange! (I am not considering real street walkers and low end stuff which could be 2-3 pounds for 30 mins.)

Very glad to see you posting here. I'd be fascinated to hear about your experiences and opinions and how they compare to what you've seen in the UK.

Not saying you're wrong but I wonder if there are places you haven't found yet. Mumbai is a big place... How do you find girls there?

Personally I find the "file it away in the correct forum" meme incredibly tiresome. If there's not already enough traffic that it's a real problem in the main forum, it's probably not enough to sustain a separate one, so all that does is kill off any real traffic before it can build. Almost nobody is going to hang out in the other forums unless that traffic is already there.

I think we're all Americano Californian the moment we walk through the portal are we not?

At least according to the laws of the internet as misjudged by the lovely "take em down Arnie" Harriet H!

Sssssh. Be careful what you give away on this board: You will have every girl wanting you to fix their washing machine/spin dryer. It'll take you an hour and a half and all you will get, apart from a cup of tea (and I'm sure what we do to tea must make it taste like poison to an Indian), will be a fifteen minute blow-job.

Welcome to the site Mumbaicop and best of luck.

grandad - You've not experienced what Indians can do to make tea taste like poison to Brits: Massal Chai is very sweet and made with copious hot frothy milk - not necessarily from a cow. Certainly an acquired taste.

Loved the country, didn't attempt to punt (unlike almost anywhere else I've been).
