Something Student S posted on another thread cast my mind to thinking about any occasions where I may have seen a known WG outside any formal arrangement.

In my case, there is only one example, namely a rather well known Thai WG walking on Queensway.

Whilst retaining a due air of discretion, do you have any examples of WGs or clients you have seen from afar?

A couple of months back now, i had a meeting with a favourite Lady in the morning. That same evening we 'bumped' into each other at a concert. It felt quite naughty having a chat with her knowing what we'd been up to earlier in the day. Couldn't persuade her to meet me once the lights went down though :)

A few examples;

In my mid 20's I picked up a girl in a social environment and we went back to her place and had a very nice evening. She was by far the most sexually aggressive girl I had spent the night with at that time. The following morning we were having breakfast in her kitchen and lo and behold there was a stack of cards; job title "party girl and escort". That was my first experience of sleeping with a "pro" and got me started on this way of life.

I was sitting in a shoe shop whilst my wife was trying on shoes, the girl sitting opposite was an escort I had seen a couple of weeks earlier! Neither of us acknowledged the other.

A well known NW escort (who I saw 50 or so times) has her working flat a couple of hundred yards from my office and I see her in the newsagents, sandwich shop etc etc. We always let on if no one else is about.

I was in Sandy's once when a girls asked me if I used play sport at "such and such", yes I replied, I worked there as a bar maid for a few months was her respsonse.

Last but by no means least in the back of a cab in South Kensington with my darling wife I realised we were about to enter the square which is home to my absolute all time favourite best friend escort and yes there she was walking her dog, I nearly shat myself!

I must state that I did not alert him to the fact I was there and hid out of the way!!

I wouldn't mind saying hallo, but in this context (outside M and S, me flyering for something completely different in a T-shirt and he doing his shopping) would have been inappropriate, even if he were on his own.

Just spotted again--a wg from 10 years back who was working to fund the horse and the Law course.Seen out side the family Law centre in smart black suit. last time iI spotted her she was carrying the files;several years later a young man was trotting behind with his arms full.

Another now runs a pub that does good grub. I'll not pass up a good lunch and I doubt she's going to turn away a customer

Just before Christmas I saw a Thai girl I had seen a couple of months earlier walking up Queensway. A really strikingly beautiful, unmistakable woman, and she was wearing the same long raincoat she had greeted me with that day. And so I had a good idea of exactly what she was wearing underneath...

It was so tempting to stop and chat with her, but it would've also been a bit 'stalky', so I didn't.

A couple of months later I recognised a couple of Thai girls out shopping together in Paddington (Edgware Rd) - and one girl recognised me and nudged the other. We discretely smiled at each other, but nothing was said.

I have, especially party WGs shopping or going to and from the locations and like you also in Queensway and Paddington which is densely populated with WGs and punters of course. ;)

I just walk on by out of the discretion you mention. :)

All the time! I have clients who work at my local shopping centre. The longer I do this the more shops I won't go in! Not because I think they would be indiscreet but because I usually look a mess when out shopping and wouldn't want to spoil the mystique! I bumped into a client at the local tube station the other week, we had a nice chat but usually I pretend not to have seen them!

I saw a girl once - I am sure it was her - compared with how she looked on the punt I couldn't get over how ordinary she looked - poorly dressed and rough on the street.

At my daughter's wedding!

Well, better than it being at your son's wedding and her being the bride, I suppose.

All this reminds me of a marvellous passage in Proust when he talks about the recognition signals between queers - he goes on for pages about it with examples, the most unforgettable being when the signal is exchanged between a man and his future father-in-law when he comes to ask for his daughter's hand in marriage.

Lancelot - that's because to go shopping etc we don't always (or ever in my case) dress the same as for a client.

Another frank - My god! what did you say?

You are always lowering the tone.

Hi SS. Actually it was expected. She is a good few years older than my daughter i should say first! The girl had been working (after stopping 'working'!) with my daughter for some time and details I'd heard had already convinced me she was an old regular of mine! Hell! So I emailed her to warn her and we agreed to stay well apart. Shame, I would loved to have had a nice chat with her (I'd been head over heels in love with her tbh). When she left she did come over to me with a nice goodbye though (sighs, lol)
