Being "outed"

27 posts in this topic

I have worked as a provider for several years and enjoyed my time having fun. I decided to take time away and start a new work venture. I have been informed from a few different sources that a old client of mine has been informing people asking after me what I am now doing and where via this forum and others.

This seems unfair as I thought discretion is a must for both providers and users? I am sure he would not like to be "outed" and I certainly would never sink that low.

So if anyone wishes to contact me my email address is still working

Thanks

Ann x

We certainly do not support any such indiscretions and would be grateful if all users would hit the 'report' button on any posts that expose indiscreet details about providers or clients. Thanks all.

This is sadly quite common, a former colleague of mine embarked on a career in television and former clients were all proud of how they had had her, posting her long-deleted photos that they had saved on their computers, made really low remarks and generally spread the news on her. Of course her new colleagues heard about it and she ended up quitting because she was bullied so much.

Really made me cynical about clients, how pathetic can you be that you actively try and ruin our attempts to do something else. A country I worked in doesn't allow a woman who has been registered as a WG to work as a policewoman, for the government and other professions are out too. It's considered a proof of bad character. Preposterous.

It is a violation of forum rules to post or divulge any information about a service provider (or ex provider) that she has not already made public in her advertising. This is something we take very seriously, and anyone violating this rule faces an immediate and permanent ban.

As Claire said, please use the "report" button on any post or private message which you feel violates the forum rules.

Some people just don't think at all(or they do which is even more dangerous).

Have to agree with you on this issue. Women who have escorted have been entertainers, i'd have thought that would boost a television career i na normal society. As for not getting work in the police, which is in fact also the case in this country as it is classed as 'immoral' earnings, this is ludicrous too, unless the gilr haas not declaared her income to IR. If she has, again, what is the problem?

Methinks it all boils down to jealousy!!

I am pretty, sure that as well as ethical and religous biases against paid sex, that the almost universal misconception that it is illegal is a huge influence on people's opinions about it. It appears that a significant proportion of punters still believe it is against the law and I have also come across WGs who believe the same.

I don't know which is worse, the ex-clients or the bullies at work.

Yes. If we don't look back in years to come on that as the barbaric past, we're all for the shit.

That attitude would be true for any country. How many applicants would get onto a shortlist if they stated prostitute in their work history - except maybe pole dancer, stripper, bunny girl.

I know one wg who does some social type work - but I am sure she keeps her alternative income source totally discrete.

Er, I rather think that pretty well ALL of our lady friends do "social type work" - surely that is what it is all about?

Hold on a second, I think we're going a bit overboard here.

I am not and have never been a sex worker but I have been crucified in the past (I was an IT worker now unemployed) because I made an internet pledge against Microsoft back in 2004 and this thing is still taunting me, that is I can't get any job in IT involving Microsoft. I have been told I have to accept this as it's part and parcel of my (ex) profession. I have never renounced that pledge and now I am paying a high price.

I can understand that a former provider wants to change life and do something different and I think he/she should be helped in getting away from the former profession, especially if they were coerced into it.

But from here to say that a former wg shopuld be allowed to become an enforcer of the law, this is excess of political correctness.

You have made choices in the past which I respect, but we all live with the consequences of our choices.

Why not?

It's not illegal to be a WG. Why she should be debarred from ever becoming a police officer in the future?

Well I give you one reason. If she had to prosecute or investigate a former client, what would she do? If she gained inside information about the client due to previous meetings, wouldn't that bring the sex industry into disrepute?

As a punter, would you ever visit a wg knowing that one day she would wanto/have to use all she knows about you against you?

Come on, a bit of common sense. The transition from sex industry to police is a no no!

But nothing prevents her form having a successful career in the private sector and that's what most wg's do without being bothered.

Bringing the sex industry into disrepute !!!! You're having a larf mate. Get real.

It's not illegal to be a punter. Why would I care if the WG that I saw in her flat last week becomes a police officer in 10 years time.

Police officers on a daily basis come across people that they went to school with, worked with in a previous life, live in the same neighbourhood etc. It happens.

Good point. I'll remember not to tell the next WG that I see all about the illegal things that I'm up to in case she ever becomes a police officer.

Discretion should be a given at all times. I have been told about women who are now well known who escorted or worked in parlours, and indeed met one now moderately well known and I would never give any clues as to their identity.

Because there is a real risk oh her being open to blackmail. Not that the Metropolitan police seem to be that averse to being bent.

I'm torn. I really am. You idiot.

I really try never to judge people but this has really upset me.

How dare you judge me like that marcodr? Or judge any woman who has sold sex?

Humans are complicated, police work is complicated, you have just insinuated in that post that by the very nature of our work, we are immoral. And not capable of any kind of moral judgement.

Very sad. Some people put their ego first and ruin other people life.

Everyone is entitled to a new life including a WG. It seems that public perception of a WGs is still not promising

Not if her superior officer is aware of her past career choice. People are only open to blackmail with things they want to keep hidden. If a wg decided to come clean there is no way she could be blackmailed. Even if she didnt just think about it, any ex girl friend or boyfriend or husband or wife of anyone could one day go into law inforcement and just think of some of the downright kinky bedroom secrets, or internet viewing pleasures that a lot of people could be open to being blackmailed about, maybe not illegal, but we all know that people get up to stuff behind closed doors that they would die of shame if it got out to their freinds and family lol...and there are a lot of people with dodgy ex partners out there, I mean, do you even know what every ex you have had since your first relationship is doing, they could be up to anything arrestable couldnt they.

Dont let words bother you, some people cant see past their own nose. Lets face it, by his own logic he shouldnt ever be thinking he is fit to apply for work in law enforcement , he would possibly after all be at risk of blackmail if he had to arrest someone and they turned out to be one of the women he punted with ^_^

Exactly, be open and you're okay, as WGs aren't doing anything illegal and all pay tax what's the problem.
