Why Exactly 100 Pounds An Hour?

24 posts in this topic

For many years, booking an escort has been roughly 100 pounds an hour.

but why 100? is this an arbitrary figure, or does it count for expenses, travel (if applicable), etc.

I know escorts don't sit down and calculate a cost-plus method lol.. but it's just something I wondered.

It would sound a bit cheaper if it were only £99.99 - just like retailers who take a penny off everyting.

Lots of reasons for various rates charged I suppose but most ladies when starting out (if indie) will look at

the established wgs in her area and charge a similar fee.

£100 is a nice round number :) and while I would love to increase my fees after several years at the set rate

I am not daft..... firstly my regular men would be in a bit of a pickle if they were suddenly asked to dig deeper in their wallets....

so I am not about to upset the apple cart there.... secondly I can hardly ask one rate for regulars and one for new guys...

I have noticed one or two girls charging £99 or similar on their sites..... eye catching no doubt and as long as they have

a supply of pound coins............. ;)

knowing well of course that most guys will not be holding out their hands for change.

not this again..

nisha.... I used to get rattled when people asked the same questions over and over... but have

mellowed somewhat....

new members may not have read a lot of the threads which cover the usual questions... and as for the search

button... why use that when we can start a whole new thread and keep the board going.

Not in my experiences it hasnt, its been many different prices dependent on the SP. i punted with. Among reasons i have been told or read are setting the price they do as they believe that will attract the punters they want and checking out their area and competitors to gauge what they are prepared to charge.

Yep, a combination of what is comparable locally and what works in terms of getting the level of business required. a woman who only wants to see one client a week can probably charge more, whereas a full timer who has no other source of income might charge less to get a higher volume. However, for me it is nicer to do less clients for more money. I would rather work 5 days a week and do a couple a day than work one day a week and do ten on that day. Of course it's never as simple as that because you get days when the phone won't stop ringing and you have to turn them down cos they all want the same time and then you might go for a couple of days when it's really quiet, you get messed about or you don't like the sound of anyone calling! It's a bit of a balancing act to get it right.

Oh and also when I did 15 minutes quickies I started off charging quite a low rate but found it wasn't worth it and tended to attract less than nice men or those who would try and wheedle out more time so I whacked it up to not much less than half an hour to discourage the idiots!

Yes I know. ( is you thinking does she mean she knows I am a stupid person or she knows it was a joke)

On a purply site there are ladies who DO charge £99..... honestly!

Better than £99.50 I suppose ... as we tend to have more pound coins in our purses than 50peeeees.

;)

Correct, but don't expect any change if you give them £100, it's just a way to maximise hits on the search engine - and good luck to them too!!

Agreed. Eventually this and any other forum would just become a database.

Also, the search engine (like the FR database) is limited to more than 3 characters, so a newbie wanting to search for cim, owo, sex, ask, etc, cannot do so.

Edit: just checked and it seems that this has changed!

Could it be because that's one of the amounts that automatically appears on the cashpoint screen?

I totally agree. Nisha, why go to the effort of typing 'not this again'? If you're not interested in contributing, then move on.

If no-one was allowed to discuss anything that had already been discussed by someone, somewhere in the the past, then NONE of us would have anything to talk about ever, in any realm, with anyone else.

The problem in that case is that the client gives a note of 100 GBP and the WG has to have money for the change. I think this will give too much of a hassle. This problem disappears when the WG just charge 100 GBP.

Lol, you must not be UK punter then. You do not have £ symbol in your keyboard :-))

In the UK I am not aware of any punter who pay with £100. Where could they get £100 notes ???

If there were such a note i would be avoiding it as i do wiith £50 notes mainly. My logic is if that note gets damaged, lost or stolen i am down more than with lesser value notes. Also its like interrogation in some shops when i do hand a £50 note over, i appreciate of course they want to ensure its genuine but i much prefer £20 and £10 pound notes for punting and them and £5 notes for shopping. I also dont like £2 coins, i cant use them in supermarket trolleys for example or not where i shop.

Oh, I dunno! I've seen lots of ladies' "donations" pages that list the current rates, with a small note that those who had seen her before (date, presumably when the rates went up) can still pay the old rate.

I get the impression that this is not so rare, particularly when a lady decides she wants to raise her rates, she may choose to keep the old rates for established clients.

Also, regulars are a known quantity, less likely to be a no-show when you may have turned down other bookings
