Evening Times Article 16/10/12

7 posts in this topic

Big piece in today's ET about the hobby. Headline about guys visiting prostitutes during lunch breaks, Sunday visits to DIY stores (never thought of that one!!)

Very negative terminology, descriptions. Seemingly much unhelpful polis activity and intentions.

Lots of emphasis on "vice", kerb-crawling, drug addiction, trrafficking, organised crime, brothels.

Nothing on the website but worth reading for info if you buy the paper.

So tired of the media always branding this hobby as 'immoral', 'bad', 'dangerous', 'criminal' etc.

When are the media finally going to give a BALANCED view on this topic?

Laura, that wasn't the most sensual of images that I've ever conjured up when it comes to thinkin about you... :P:D

But yeah, the B&Q excuse brought a whole new meaning to the valedictory remark as you open the fron door and announce "I'm just off to B&Q for a screw - er, sorry, some screws, rather..."
