Chocolate And Treats To Share On A Date.

51 posts in this topic

I fancy taking some chocolates and or treats to share on a date soon.

As far as choccies go I'm wondering whether to take Lindt truffles (either mixed or single variety), Ferrero Rocher mixed (dark, milk and white) or something "posher".

I know everyone is different but what would the guys and gals here suggest?

Also, although I'm not a great fan of strawberries but are they and other foodie items appreciated for in date nibbles?

Any other ideas welcome. Not talking about sploshing just something to share.

Thanks CP,

Looks very nice but I'm nowhere near any of their outlets.

Couldn't buy anything mail order either for obvious reasons.

I rarely buy chocolate nowadays but i am partial to a Double Decker, as that would go down like a lead balloon i imagine, Quality Street is quite nice, or Belgian chocolates seem well thought of, the thing is i dont eat before my punts so it would end up a case of indian giving probably. :)

I have not tried them yet but I have had my eye on some House of Dorchester chocs for the next time I fancy taking a little gift to a regular.

The rose & violet collection particularly strikes me as one that might appeal to the ladies.

I do all my grocery shopping in Waitrose, just 6 miles away :-) Have already sussed out my next date has a WR just 4 miles from her too. Probably stick with choccies rather than anything that needs a spoon (all that Gu stuff is gorgeous though), perhaps some black grapes too.

Don't know about Double Deckers but they do have Curley Wurlys!

Many shops sell Double Deckers, mind you i dont shop in Waitrose despite having one close by, far too expensive for my liking, only Marks and Spencers food stores are more expensive of the chains i have found, and they are outrageously expensive, so expensive in fact i just couldnt bring myself to spend so much on so littlle so went to Aldi instead. Tesco is now very expensive as well compared to before the recession, i used to buy 150 tissues in their Value range for 25p, they are now or were 69p, in fact many Value items have shot up in price greatly just as more people are cash strapped and buying from this range. ;)

When I saw the title I thought this thread was going to be about Mars Bars.

Would be if I could date Jerry Hall!

It was Marianne Faithfull who Mick Jagger was suppossed to have used the mars bar on, but it was just a wind up.

Though Stan Collymore did use a flake on Kirsty Gallagher.

As for chocolates, whats wrong with going to Thorntons to get a nice box and its well within the price range of many.

There's a very lovely lady for whom I've read beetroot may be perfect.

Going back to Waitrose they do bloomin' gorgeous sweetfire beetroot infused with chilli.

Perhaps a bit messy for eating in bed though.

My mistake on the lady but I did know it was a hoax.

Thorntons are on my possible list, should have mentioned them at start.

I seem to remember a thread not too long ago where one WG said chocolates were generally a good gift but Thorntons a definite no-no.

Darn chocolate is quite high in zinc, and very good for maintaining an erection.

so I think it could be the ideal choice for taking to see an escort.

Thortons Melts!

Almost liquid chocolate and a little body heat turns it liquid.

Great fun!

I recommend Cherry Liqueurs from Marks and Spencer about £3.99. Just special enough, without being flash, and not well known. Always go down well, in my experience.

Surely you dont need chocolates but clitoris allsorts?

Done strawberries and squirty cream a few times, and it's great.

Cov - give the Gu chocolate mousse a try - really it's wonderful. Spreads nicely and gets runny fairly quickly!!!!!

Am I the only one who thinks it incredibly bizarre that you would take chocolates as a gift for your prostitute?
