I'm Using So And So Hotel To Work From.. Why Do They Do It?

39 posts in this topic

The girls on our forum were having a great time going through profiles on AW today and we are amazed/shocked at just how many girls are actually mentioning the hotels they are working from. You can find stuff like... Working from a high class hotel ... So and so hotel in so and so road in so and so town (obviously I'm not going to name the hotel but it was far from high class. or My favorite hotel when on tour is ********* and on it goes.

There are dozens and dozens of them which to my mind is just plain daft, thats without the men mentioning the hotels they have seen the girls in. One of our girls has made it her mission to mail all these girls and point out how stupid they are being, but obviously she won't be mailing the guys, so with that in mind I know most of you here won't be that stupid but can I just ask you to think before you put anything in print.

I totally agree and there was a recent thread about this on here, i think Southern Man was the OP. Its definitely the case that hotels that have previously been good for punting in have subsequently become more difficult. Best to keep specific hotels to PM chat in my view.

well, some people on here have been that stupid.........

I experienced a last-minute cancellation because a lady had been refused admittance to a hotel she had happily used in the past which had been named on here. Other hotels named here have, for example, installed key card systems now.

I now make it my business to monitor threads for mentioning specific chains and/or hotels and reporting any that name names. The Mods have closed all such posts and threads, thankfully. Anybody doesn't like it - tough. I don't like blabbermouths ruining my punting and upsetting ladies that I like seeing.

I move that naming hotels should be added to the categories of things that must not be mentioned on here - then there would be absolutely no grey area and no excuses.

It's quite a leap to believe that a hotel would change their room access method and security because they were mentioned on here. Given the cost of these access systems (typically tens of thousands of pounds upwards) I don't think that WGs using the hotels would be a good reason to justify installing such a system.

All hotels have a policy of putting single females into rooms near the reception or lift areas, so that it has quick access incase the woman gets unwanted attention, it also means the hotels can observe if the lady is getting a lot of male callers for an hour or so, so can determine what they are there for, after all the hotel chains are used by family's, as well as business functions.

Now supposing that I am extravagant enough (alright, I did once only, at the Charnock Richard services Motel, thirty some years ago) to take wife AND kids to a hotel for the night; does it matter a tuppeny toss whether the lady in the room next door is turning tricks or not? My kids will be making enough bloody noise that I won't hear anything through the adjoining wall to make me jealous?

It has happened - call it a coincidence if you like. Actually installing a key card system isn't huge money in the scheme of things to a national/international chain (which is what we are talking about here).

Sorry mate - some might do this, but not all, speaking from years of experience. Not all hotel care about girls escorting on their premises. In fact the manager of the hotel from which the lady I mentioned above was barred admittance told her to her face that he didn't personally care, but that he'd had instructions from his superiors to clamp down. A lady who posts here told me that the manager concerned "visited" ladies who were using his hotel, including herself.

No, not that much to a chain, but also probably not driven by any local "problem" such as WGs operating there and even if this were the case, very unlikely to have been prompted by the hotel name appearing on a punting forum.

Talk about living the good life!! I can think of a hundred better places to stay (and punt).

What ladies would be silly enough to book a single room/and or say they were travelling alone.

I always ask for two keys and say my partner will be joining me later when he finishes work. I also ask for a room on a high floor away from reception when I book.

Pandora

I fully agree with you and work exact same way, I tour every second week so I am in hotels all the time. I also think the hotels really don't care if you are discrete, quiet and keep yourself to yourself. I've seen many girls being booted from hotels I'm working in pure and simply cause they draw alot of attention to themselves.

P.S I think I've seen your profile before, If its the one I'm thinking of your gorg and v classy...thought I'd say so.

dont these cover it?

  • Posting private information (phone, address etc) about any lady. Only the information she has already made public in her advertising should be repeated here!
  • Posting private information about, or revealing or speculating on the true identity of, any PunterNet user or service provider

there again mebbe better to have a specific rule.

Assuming single females book rooms as single females. Business or pleasure I never book as a single, I like plenty of towels and plenty of room travelling alone or not, plus the option of inviting a friend if I so wish.

If I was travelling alone and had the intention of inviting a lady to visit me I would automatically book a room with a double bed.

I will shortly be visiting a lady in a hotel, of her choice, for an incall. I have assumed that she will have booked a room with a double bed and that if necessary she will have taken extra toiletries and towels. I don't fancy a single bed and/or a wet towel. I've entered many many hotels over the years but this time it's different. I am therefore assuming she will be professional and organised enough to be able to make sure that I can enter the hotel and find her room without embarrassing either of us.

When I was working I travelled a great deal in the UK, west and east Europe and the Mid East.My company's policy was to always book a double room for the guys. It gave us room to work/punt/relax/punt/eat in the room/punt/watch TV/punt etc. You get the picture I'm sure.

So book the room as a couple or in a man's name.

I've arrived at hotels with a lady, obviously not knowing each other well and there for only one reason. Get a knowing grin from the receptionist. They really don't care. It's a booking. It's how hotels make their money.
