Though it would be best to rewrite my original topic as my other post was far too detailed. My silly mistake.

Received text from family member using my real name- I know it was family because they mistakenly text me from an Iphone, therefore showing me their email address. I havent spoken to this person for 4 years.

Must of found my location through facebook, which is now deactivated.

I decided to text it back today because it has been bugging me for a while.

Well I said that I knew who the person was because the real name showed up, and that they had got the wrong end of the stick.

The person apologised to me, saying that it must have been an identity mistake then, but someone had seen me getting into a car with supposed client (I have never been picked up on the street i might add), so this doesn't really make any bloody sense.

This doesn't explain the issue of where the hell did they get my phone number from ??? And this person is now asking about my life etc...but has avoided the question about where they got my number.

Looks like I have dug myself into a deeper hole now, I am replying to texts to keep the person from telling my other family.

Hi Louise,

did they text your work 'phone?

I have been here in this position but not in the same way as you.

I closed my website down immediately and sat tight.

I found another job.

I started up again using another name but kept my reviews because i deserved every damned one of them. If you look at them now they say formerly worked as XXXXXX which is fine for the old clients to find me, but not my family.

I hardly advertise anywhere now and keep a low profile but still work because I will only stop doing this when I want to and not because anyone else does.

Deny deny deny is my advice to you now and keep your head down. I feel for you x

Yes, they text my work phone.

Got told by my parents, that they would disown me if they found out i had been at it again.

So, this doesn't make sense does it, cos the family member is now being nicey nice, telling me what has been going on in their life.....

But still no explanation as to where they got my phone number in the first place.

Just thinking if it did get back to parents does it sound viable if i am running a private scam operation. Complicated I know but thinking that could be my best bet.....

Louise

I contributed to the earlier thread ( which I now cannot seem to find - has it been deleted?) and remain sympathetic to your situation.

However, in the first thread you told us that adultwork was in your facebook..

I look people up for a living and In 10 seconds of looking on AW under RG1 I've got your phone number and gone across to your website. Both have full face photos - a lovely face but I'm afraid a dead giveaway.

Please tell me the surname is not your real name.

Please take Sarah's advice and if I may offer you some more, please be much more discreet in future as to how and where you post your personal details.

Take care.

No i didnt state that adult work was in my facebook.

Obviously the person knows my "real" name so obviously looked up my location from facebook....

Therefore if smart enough could then google reading escort and i come up on the first page.

Of course I am not 100% sure if this is where they got my phone number from.....

I dont have FB for work just for my personal life, but i have now deactivated it! x

The reason i believe the person was looking for me under my real name, is becuase they grassed me up to parents in the first place

I hate facebook. It causes trouble all of the time. Stop talking to that relation. I wonder why they grassed you up. Some people are shits.

Deny all. Remove your website for a while. Build a new one, get a new name Rebrand. It can actually be fun :) Get new photos and do not show your face at all - anywhere. Make yourself unrecognisable to anyone who may be out there looking for you x

Work for an agency for a while? That way you won't need a website. Do that until the coast is clear and then start again.

Good luck x thinking of you x

Sorry to sound unsympathetic (I don't mean to) but if you don't want parents etc to find out, why on earth have you got face pics on your website?

That may not be enough, carefully go through your FB profile and change details and delete values.

First, log into Facebook and click the Home button in the top right hand corner. Then, click Edit My Profile under your name. Third, click on Contact Information on the left hand column. Finally, make sure all of the mobile phone number, address, and other personal information fields are empty. After you have done this, hit the save button!

Missinformation can be more useful than just deleting it.

My parents aren't internet savvy they are about 60- I wasnt asking for sympathy I was asking for advice.

Plenty of women have face photos, its not like my parents are the ones being vindicitive.

I don't know why someone would respond a reply like this. I wasn't looking for an arguement, clearly.

If you deactitivate my account, am i therefore still in the system, for other people to see?

Oh, and another reason is to help people like you so clients know who exactly they are booking.

Hence the above "do you think i could cover my tracks by trying to make out like my profile on adultwork is just a private gallery scam"

Great, thanks for that. I barely use it hence lack of knowing how to use it :)

A salutory reason not to use FB?

Biggest waste of time on the planet. People like to ue it to cause trouble, but if you've no account, it makes it hard for the boring and sad bastards in society.

Yes, Your details are still in there and in theory nobody should be able to see them, but FB are notorious for screwing with the privacy settings, so it best to be safe than sorry.

Sarah is someone who can give you very good advice about how to go about "rebranding" ( what an accurate but horrible word that is) and all mist if us can do is throw in our ideas and hopefully you can pick out some good suggestions. So here are mine just off the top of my head.

New name.......easy. New website/profile........easy. New phone number.........easy. New e- mail address.........easy.

Totally different name. Different initials. Don't choose something which will sound familiar to anyone.

Website/profile. Enough information to keep the potential client interested but no padding. With all due respect your adultwork profile has too much information. Too much to read and the reader coukd skip over the important bits or even move on altogether. Don't put you address on the website. The detail you give of your present address would enable the simplest idiot to find you. Apart from anything else think of your safety. Do what a lot of other ladies do. General directions first and specific information as late as possible.

Pixillated face or face hidden by hat etc or turned away from camera (look at Sarah's photo's). Show your body by all means (I'm saying no more on that). You are a very attractive young lady and it will still come across even with posed photo's.

Keep your phone number. Buy another phone and forward all calls to that. Either answer the call or have a voice mail message saying leave number and I'll ring you back etc. The person calling does not know your new number and if you ring them back block your number. Have another number and phone for your new name/profile. Previous clients with your old number can still contact you and so can new clients but via different numbers and you will be able to tell the difference.

New e-mail address is easy. You can even keep your old e-mail address and have any incoming e-mails forwarded to it without the sender realising or knowing the new address.

I'm sure there are additional points but I've run out of thinking at the moment. Anyway I, and I'm sure everyone else, wishes you all success for sorting out your problems and for the future.

If it's a male member of family and they got your work number off the site. Perhaps they are trying to blackmail you for sex? I'd stop responding as they will be saving every message you send for whatever purpose.

Me, as a punter, I'm way over "about 60" and I'm really quite internet savvy! Honestly, it does happen!

I like to see a lady's face, but I entirely understand that some ladies like to hide the face - all I suggest is that the

concealment of the face can be done artistically-

= peep, seductively, over a chinese fan

= Brush your long hair down over your face

= Wear a large summer hat, covering your face

= (best of all, for me) wear an exotic venetian mask

and, of course, if you use AW, you can provide full face photos in a (profitable) "Private Gallery" where I rather doubt Auntie will follow you?

I agree with others who say that Facebook is dangerous - it really is!

Thanks for that- I will have a think about all points you have made- My profile is long due to some idiots not having common sense and i try to answer as much as i can!

As for the address- it is not my actual adress, its where people park, if they miss it thry have to go through the whole one way again :)

Just thought that you could change the colour of your hair because this would also affect your makeup.

Oh god- I did the blonde look when I was 15- never again. I looked bloody awful.

Black seems to be easy to maintain, don't think I would have the guts to change it

Lol, no they really aren't internet savvy!

Same laptop for years, seems to be dusty everytime I visit them!

Well, i was just thinking about this, I would probably do well to put a face photo in my private gallery (i just find I get more bookings with the natural unedited photo that is my profile picture)

However I am having photos done with CarlyG, so this is most definately something to think about.
