Browser On A Usb Stick?

4 posts in this topic

Anyone clued up on these? My Dongle (Huawei) has provision to take a memory card, the instruction booklet does not mention it at all, if the card was large enough would it be straight forward to put say Firefox or Crome on it? would it become the default browser for the laptop....or would a better option be to run Linuxmint from a live disk and use Firefox direct from there?

Use. Portableapps..searchfor it in Google... And this will let you install portable versions straight onto to your memory card and runs totally separate from the laptop version ie no history left on the laptop

I used to run portable Firefox for years before private browsing came about. Works very well.

If you go this route encrypt your stick with Truecrypt and stuck the app in there. Safe if anyone else plugs the stuck in.

A big advantage over private browsing is having full history and favourites.
