Time At Purple Site Done A/w

24 posts in this topic

Well it would appear that my time on the other site, the purple one, has come to a close.

A FORCED close

I hadn't actually used that site in a while but the other night I found myself logging on and having a look around. As you do when your looking around, I was getting excited, so, I got some credits to check the private gallery of a girl I was interested in and also thought I would check out some cams or something.

I sent a few messages to some girls I was interested in, nothing to crazy just something such as, I like your pics/profile. would be interested in meeting, are you available this day etc. Ended up not using the cams and just went to bed horny.

Anyway when I got back from work, checking my email I saw I had responses on the site. I went to log in but just kept getting this message "No member was found with the Nickname and Password you supplied", I tried the "Forgot your Nickname or Password?" link, entered my details and it came back saying "The Member with that Email Address has been de-activated"

I've sent them a request for my profile to be put back but after reading their terms and conditions, apparently if they don't reinstate my profile they pocket my credits. I put in 30 credits and had about 28 credits left, I know it's not a lot of money but I basically feel mugged.

It also feels like another SCAM as I've heard from one girl that I know, just before she was about to get the money from her private gallery views her account got de-activated and they would only put it back if she sent some form of pictured ID to them, which she knew wouldn't be kept private(and she wanted to keep her anonymity due to her career) as one of her friends done the profile verification, thinking it would be kept private but found it to be prominently displayed on her profile for everyone to see. So they got to keep every penny of her 387 credits.

I honestly just wanted everyone to be warned in case something like this could happen to you.

Check the T&C's, getting someone else to do the photo varification, is a no no on AW.

The photo ID ( taken holding a bit of paper with your AW details on) is not made public if you tick the box.

Accessing any AW account using different ISP's/VPN's or those used to run other/multiple accounts do get removed.

Adultwork has history of closing WG accounts just to get credits, they know full well that the majority of them are not will or able to provide real life passports or driving licenses as photo id, I personal know of 9 who were closed down who did nothing wrong, all had credits, all gone. I have had reports of another 12 WG's being removed.

CASH IN YOUR CREDITS BEFORE YOU GET CLOSED DOWN,

AW, go after the SCAMMERS and let the genuine girls get on doing what they do best!

This has happened to me a few times, usually I have just misspelt my password or username. There is a "reactivate me" button underneath where you sign in. Have you tried that.

My old account was changed to service seeker for some reason even though I was clearly an sp from pics and what was written in my site, and now no longer exists so I had to set up a new profile this time around. When I tried to use my old name they said it was already in use.

Its so ridiculously easy to make a complaint about a wg on there. All someone literally has to do is to tick the button that says fake and they will remove you immediately. It happened to me several times in the past but once I got my profile back my credits were always still there waiting to be used. I do only every put £10 worth of credits on per time though, never more.

I remember when aw famously "crashed" a few years ago, so many girls lost all their built up credits, pictures disappeared, blurb disappeared but not necessarily all of the above from each profile. I was lucky, I just lost some of my blurb.

They do usually send you a message to the email address linked to your site though telling you why you have been removed, its automated though.

AW...if a girl has working hours, times available, services and prices ticked..DONT DELETE HER BLOODY ACCOUNT WITHOUT ASKING HER FIRST. FFS

OP..check your linked emails x

I think he meant her friend had verified an account of her own and suddenly found her photo which she wanted kept private displayed.

How were you going to cam with 28/30 credits? Couldn't even buy a second class stamp with that.

AW is dodgy and it would be good to think they read forums like this to get feedback, as they certainly don't respond to it via their site.

I think MFC is the main player in camming and we can only hope that a better site replaces the escort side of things - like PN?

Of course you can cam with 28/30 credits, its the equivalent of £28/£30 on AW

I stand corrected. Thought it was like 60/70 credits per minute minimum for camming and like 200 for a reverse booking (1 credit per penny), but there's a decimal point in there. OP got burnt there, big time.

What is MFC?

There is a big hole in the market for a decent escort website with mobile apps, etc. AW is really amateur and if someone came up with a better offering they could retire a very happy person!

I only ever stick a tenner on at a time with UKash vouchers, just enough for the odd private gallery. I would never give AW my card details.

If you fail to get reinstated, then say goodbye to credits and don't give them any more money. Just clear all your browser cookies, reset your router to get a new IP (doesn't always work, leave off overnight to be more sure) and make a new account. Then just use it to contact WGs or better still just contact the WGs with numbers listed (always good advice anyway). Let them make their money off others.

Assuming he's on dynamic IP, until recently I was with an ISP that gave a static IP.

Subscribe to a VPN and you're guaranteed a new IP.

True, but the vast majority of broadband users are on dynamic IP as many ISPs charge for static or restrict it to their more expensive tariffs. Some sites block access from VPNs (well proxies, rather than VPNs). It would not be worth subscribing to a paid proxy just for this issue and the free ones are poor. I've found that even the free trials of paid ones have been poor, just not quite as bad!

^ this.

I use a VPN for some activities and mine is stable and effective. Avoid proxies, they can leak your real IP addy, especially if you do something like open a downloaded file. For complete privacy use TOR.

I've used the site for Years and never had a problem. Obviously I've heard quite a bit of complaints from boths sides of the users, relating to accounts and credits being cut. It's shocking they can get away with it, the amount of credits they must get to keep from shutting girls profiles down must be extremely vast.

Just had a response email from them saying they will not reinstate my account, not even giving a reason as to why. So my response to that is, they can kindly F*CK OFF and hopefully not too kindly either. As much as I hate to admit it I have spent quite a lot on credits for that site over the years, but hey! what does that matter to someone if they can just steal it off their customers so easily and without recuperations.

Given the fact of how many fake accounts their are on there, not to mention the influx of eastern european girls that don't seem too happy to be there (Never booked an eastern european girl, just in case there was any trafficing involvement. I will not be party to that) this could be a blessing in disguise.

I aim to Never set my digital foot back on the A/W site as they have screwed me over, not in a good way, and I refuse to even give them the hits my use of the site generated for them. I know it's a small gesture but every little helps as they say.

sorry to hear about that but you can actually not show your verified profile you just have to tick the box that says you don't want to show it but every time you change / your profile or take it down for a bit it dose come back up as showing again so you have to remember to keep on clicking on keep profile pic private

Is there an opportunity here for someone, an SP or a punter or perhaps the two sorts of input from multiple people could be amalgamated to produce a manual for helping people avoid the negatives of AW?

I know it's easier to suggest this than do the work and produce it, but I would think it would be very valuable.

I know I was left feeling helpless when an SP I see regularly looked devastated when she told me her profile had been deleted for the second time in a few months.

I realise no manual will be perfect when clearly AW consider themselves a law unto themselves but all the more reason to try to level the playing field a bit more.

It would be very difficult to do, as AW always seem to change the goalposts, according to what day of the week it is.

Just when you realise how to do something on that site, or how to try to stay upto date with what is going on, it seems to change.

Think using VPN is in the T&C's......Shotspotshield gives you an address in the States, a dead give away.

Yes, I was asked by an SP if I knew what might have happened when her account had been deleted and her credits seized, and I was sorry not to have been able to help. Knowing the tips and tricks to avoid giving them any excuse would be helpful.

IP address's and vpn aren't really an issue as I can set up another account, also had another one I used till I switched over to the one that just got shut down. That was years ago though.

To be honest I doubt a manual or extensive reading of the terms and conditions would do any good at all, it feels as thought they have carte blanche to do whatever they want, whenever they want as the site won't get shut down. (certain agencies use it for "leads" i.e. brothels and trafficing.)

Think the main thing is that a better replacement is made, which would probably be a lot of work with coding and the legality unfortunatley. I know there are other site like it but they are either inferior in the layout, are just carbon copies of it or of course just lack the users. I don't even know if it could be possible to do with that site still around.

They have a forum you can join and post your problems, the other members will quite likely be able to help as the same problems seem to reoccur to the masses.
