London- How Far Would You Travel?

80 posts in this topic

Please go easy on me as it is my first proper thread here

Was talking with a friend about mens attitudes to travelling to see an escort. In many places, Dublin for example, I have found that guys don't want to drive more than 3 mins to see a lady (lazy bums :P).

But then in other places, especially the more rural ones I have found that guys will happily drive an hour each way to see a lady. Probably to do with lack of escorts in their area.

So then we got talking about London. A massive place with a hell of a lot of escorts. So- how far would travel for a punt? A couple of tube stops or 20 miles? And also what things would swing the distance for you?

Look forward to hearing peoples opinions and experiences :) x

(p.s if this is in the wrong section please feel free to move it!)

The advantage of London is the number of local options.

I tend to stick to walking distance, or a couple of stops on the tube maximum, in London. That can be up to 10 to 15 minutes in the winter and a bit further when the weather is better. I can go missing for an hour and a half, maybe couple of hours but longer is more difficult so trecking over to the West End from where I am in the City doesn't make much sense.

I'd travel anywhere to in the uk to see the right girl, not joking! If it was someone I knew and had seen before the distance wouldn't matter. An hours travel would be nothing, done that loads of times. The traveling time is part of the build up, so travelling for an hour or more just helps add to the excitement. Then the journey home is when you can start to enjoy the memories.

I live to the west of London about 5 miles from Heathrow. The furthest east Ive been is the Aldgate area, the furthest north is Maida Vale and the furthest south is Clapham. All over an hours journey time for me.

The thing that matters most is how easy the journey is using public transport. In London that is easy. All though a few places are hard to get to. On a map places like Ealing Broadway and Wembley are close by but a nightmare to get to using public transport.

Obviously those who live in densely populated areas find travelling easier, both in time and distance, and also in the selection of ladies available. For which they should be thankful.

Those of us who live at the opposite end of the scale really have no option but to travel. It also follows that opportunities are not as freely available to us either. So we just have to accept the situation.

Having said which I also am prepared to travel, and have, in excess of 200 miles to see the right lady. But I suppose that a relevant reason is why I visit the lady. If I lived in London I might perhaps be partial to leaving home, on the tube, 30 minutes of ?, back on the tube, and home again all within a couple of hours. Instead of which it's usually at least two hours drive each way, £30+ petrol, and usually a couple of hours with the lady. Because of this I tend to scrutinise possible ladies in much greater detail than if I worked on a 30 minute schedule.

So many factors to take into account whether me or anyone else.

Im rural but have punted in london.

when punting form home i have to go a fair way unless I want sheep :(  So i really need a 3 hour window to get a 1 hour punt in.

If i am in london, which I dont know that well i will stick to areas I know.  And I get my geography from the tube map.  Which is daft I know cos the tube map has little to do with actual geography.  So in answer to prus, question, not far really.

Besides travelling in London always takes far far longer than I imagine. So a major trek would make estimating an appointment time difficult.

My POV but bear in mind I aint a landaner

I often travel from my rural retreat  to Paddington or Earls Court. This involves a car journey of about an hour followed by between 15 and 21 tube stops, say at least another half an hour. I like to leave home at least two hours before an appointment. I hope that helps. :)

And sometimes I just turn myself into a bat and fly direct.

I tend to travel as I don't want to punt on my doorstep. I tend to travel to London as there is a lot more availability and tend to use public transport to get there. This normally takes me about 1.5-2 hours to get there followed by tube etc.

The longest journey I've done is a 3hr hour train trip both ways.

As others have said I'm prepared to travel to get to a lady who ticks all my boxes but it does mean a lot of preparation beforehand.

I'm not trying to to be funny but why not invest in a Mini A to Z? It (the A to Z) measures 3.5" by 6" and cost £4.95 (in 2008, so probably a bit more now).

Invaluable. :)

Wow, either my watch runs slow or you are getting different tubes to me Zipless.  21 stops in half an hour??

I usually find it's between 2-3 mins per stop plus changeovers at roughly 5 mins per train.

Depending upon the location I generally cater for between 1hr and 90 mins to get to a punt, travelling in from Zone 6, slightly longer in fact as I often travel to an alternative tube station to get to London, so as to avoid unwanted encounters along the way.

I would travel up to 2 hours if necessary to get to an escort in say, Leyton or Stratford, where there are some nice looking girls, though I haven't made that trip yet.

For when I want someone local I can get to a few different destinations in say 15-20 mins.

It just depends how much you want to put out to get the girl of your dreams.

In the next Summer I will go to London to visit incall escorts. I think I must pay about 500 euro for the stay, and I am willing to pay about 2000 euros to visit a few escorts per day. I live in the Netherlands, and I will go to Schiphol by train, and then fly to Heathrow, and from there to a hotel using the London Subway. I may do about 15 or 20 escorts in one week.

You may be right. I was counting stops from Leytonstone to Earls Court, involving changing at Mile End (from Central to District). I may have got muddled between that and going straight to Lancaster Gate. Once I'm on the Tube I usually switch off until my destination. If you see a man with a floppy khaki hat over his face on one of these tube lines it is probably me going to or from a punt. :)

I did say I like to leave home at least 2 hours before an appointment. I prefer 3 as a comfortable margin for error.

Next time I shall be more efficient and monitor the timings exactly. :)

By the way, that Rioja from Waitrose was superb. I bought 2 more bottles yesterday. Thanks for the heads up. :)

You have a very enviable and hands on approach to your punting. Man after my own heart. Swallow the vitamins and go for it. :D

London is blessed with more working ladies per square foot than any other town/city in the land. Therefore there is no need to travel too extensively. One governing factor may be the size of the "window of opportunity" which varies from person to person.

When I punted there a 20 minute trip was usually sufficient.

I'll watch out for the happy smiling face then, post punt.  You forgot to add on the length of travel time jetting in from your island to Leytonstone, but there must be a few reasons to hang around Leytonstone aren't there, rather than take the tube?

I tried to get to see Giulia in South Woodford recently, although that meeting got messed up unfortunately.  She looked very nice.  I don't think she was around very long and now she's off the radar already.  So many other cuties out your way though.

I know what you mean about Earls Court though. So many lovely girls.

Nothing like a good Rioja, especially in post punt reflecting time.  Glad it survived the trip out to your island ok.

Why didn't I discover punting when I was still in my 20's? Oh to have that stamina again, now.  I was quite happy with my 5 girls in 5 days over Christmas until you came up with this.

Because I live in a fairly out of the way rural spot, I accept the need to travel greater distances for most things in my life: anything within a couple of hours' drive is close!. For me, the trick is to co-ordinate my work schedule (if it takes me to different parts of the country) with the possibility of meeting up with lovely women. There's nothing which puts a spring in my step as much as being offered a piece of work which will take me close to a lady I've met before; new areas, of course, offer the opportunity for new research.... :)

If a man lifts it off me to check out my expression I will know it's you! :D
