Sounds good but doesn't fit with the current reports that londoners have the least sex in surveys.  But she's not talking generally is she!

I haven't read the sex survey... Quite a big feature - saving it for the weekend. I like the sound of the talk though. It should be fun.

I'm talking about surveys saying people in london don't have as much sex as elsewhere, some of the least around compared to other cities.  they may or may not be accurate.

I thought you were referring to today's issue of Time Out. Sorry.

So did anybody actually manage to get in?

Yes, but it was a squeeze! Wasn't expecting it to be so full.

Not only did I get all my books signed by her, she knew who I was! (stands back in amazement)

Does she not want them back? Her bookshelves must look very empty :D

Hehehe, I did take 5 to be signed!

I arrived 10 minutes before the start, having left work early to get there - yes - EARLY, and was gutted to find no room at the Inn, quite literally.

Bitterly disappointed.

I guess the lesson for me is not to assist in promoting events that I want to attend!!!

Either that or get a 9-5 job!

If you look at twitter, she's London_darkside and I'm sure she will tweet her next readings, it can't just be a one off!

Did you not see me in the interval!? I was wearing a beret with a red sparkly brooch on it. A wee bit overdressed for that pub, hehe.

Yes, it has character, I like it too. I hate chain pubs or shiny glamorous pubs. I want to hear characters and see dominos and flat caps!

You're confusing London Bridge with Barnsley!

(Edit: easily done....)

Haha! I've lived here in London Bridge for almost 20yrs and I once saw Lino nailed onto a pub counter. Classy, that. It wasn't even the cushion floor stuff, it was the brittle old Lino, the stuff that snaps. Oh, I've lived...haha

It's a very exp and trendy place now, but you can still find dominos and flat caps!

They apparently call flat caps 'clit caps' in Shoreditch... Every cunt's got one. Barnsley no longer has the monopoly.

All a bit odd really.

No Whippets down here though.
