Went to see the stage musical Dreamboats and Petticoats at the weekend.

In one scene Laura and Bobby are stood on the beach at Southend looking over the where Norman and Sue are in the dunes

Bobby to Laura - "What are they doing over there?"

Laura - "Oh Bobby, you've done O-level Biology"

Bobby - "Well it looks like they're doing A-levels to me"

The audience laughed, so did I - but do you think we were all laughing at the same joke?

Yeah I've had a good think about the meaning of that and can only conclude that you are a raving homosexual

Some of the dialogue in 'The Boyfriend' sounds pretty odd too. The plot spoofs the old idea of 'Could she/he love me if she/he knew I wasn't really rich after all?' In it two young millionaires pretend they're poor as church mice and have to confess the awful truth to each othert at the end. She has to tell him that she isn't really a 'working girl' after all. Set in the Twenties but dates from early 1950s.
