Sandys V Samanthas

23 posts in this topic

I'm new to this but looking for my first visit to a parlour in a few week's time when I'll be in the Manchester area. From the research I've done, it seems as though Sandy's is the place to visit (and the girls look fantastic), but discretion is crucial to me and I've read good things about Samanthas from this point of view.

On the basis I'll be driving, which is the easier to park nearby and enter without being noticed? I know Samanthas has it's own car park but I have private plates and don't want to risk anyone recognising me so will want to park a bit of a walk away from the parlour whichever one I visit.

I'm also keen to avoid bumping into other punters so, while Sandy's seems to have more choice, maybe Samanthas is the way to go? Can anyone who has been there explain how they manage to keep punters apart?

The other thing drawing me to Samanthas is that you can book in advance which I don't think you can do at Sandys until you've become a member. So at least I can phone up and be sure of seeing someone without (hopefully) having an awkward wait.

Also read some things about people being photographed coming out of Sandys?

Tough choice, but would appreciate anyone's advice!

I take it that you are the sort of person that the paparazzi will instantly swing a 400mm f/:4 onto as soon as you come over the horizon, and that what you call "private plates" are what I call "vanity plates", like, e.g. "FRU1T" ?

I'd say, wear dark glasses and a hat, then take a taxi, which you can afford surely afford, unless your name is Wayne Rooney, when I'd advise staying at home with the wife and brats!

No, I'm not a footballer (I'd have thought that obvious from the fact I can evidently string a sentence together) or indeed anyone of significance. Just someone who doesn't want to risk being recognised by anyone he knows. Sorry if the fact I have a personalised registration offends you but it was a gift and has my initials on. Being a first timer, I'm understandably apprehensive about driving up to somewhere I don't know so would prefer to park a bit away.

Anyone able to offer some useful advice?

Check out the area for each, Google StreetView can be quite a useful tool to work out how easy or not it is to park nearby.

From what you describe, I suspect that your nerves may be better managed by the arrangements at Samantha's.

Thanks. Have you been to Samantha's yourself?

Samantha's is near a hospital and a lot of staff park on the nearby streets. It's actually pretty tough to park within 4-5 minutes of the place during office hours but there's usually something about 6-7 minutes walk away on Everett. Easier to get closer after 4 and at weekends.

The Christie Hospital always has scaffolding up and building work going on somewhere so if you can blag construction or medicine as your profession you have an excuse for being in the area.

Sandys is the better parlour though, sorry to be mainstream opinion on this, but it is.

If being seen with other punters bothers you, it has to be Samantha's as it's their policy not to let punters see each other. Sandy's (Prestwich) on the other hand has a waiting room where all the guys sit together. If you go for Samantha's, you can park a few streets away and walk to it. You will still need to walk down a main road though to get to it but it's entrance is at the back and away from the main road. I'm not aware of a back entrance for Sandy's only a front one. Going in and out of either place is where you might be spotted by someone you know - but this is true for most places!

Sandys Northernden branch has a front and rear entrance - you can usually park around 4 or 5 mins walk away.....even going to the back entrance you have to walk past a small bar where you will get the all knowing look from the drinkers - especially if you come out with wobbly knees.

Standard of girls and choice of girls is FAR superior at sandys, you may however have to wait in the small waiting room which on your fist punt is feckin nerve wracking!

Samantha's, you can walk to but as said above its down a main road but entrance is from the side street - at least here you wont see other punters. But rooms and girls not a patch on SS.

So depends on your priorities, but IMHO Sandys is the way to go - if your gonna pay 50 quid to shag, it might as well be with the hottest thing available.

And when you really think about it nobody is really going to be that interested in what you are really up at the end of the day (although it does at first feel like every pair of eyes in the world is looking at you and know you are off for a punt......time lessens this feeling.

Best of British with your possible new hobby!

Cheers guys, that does help. I can tell from the websites that the standard and choice at Sandy's is far superior (and the reviews would support this), but still wonder whether Samanthas is the way to go for the first time to get over those initial nerves and build up confidence. I won't be in the Manchester area for a couple of weeks though so might let the rotas make the decision for me. I wouldn't say I'm hugely fussy but would prefer a brunette and have a few other things I'm looking for so if there's only 3 girls on each day at Samanthas it might be on the day it makes the decision for me.

Just to complicate matters, I still haven't rules out KSG in Didsbury which also seems to be a decent establishment!

Decisions, decisions....

Thanks for your advice.

Oh, and just to clarify, it would be Sandy's Northernden I'd visit, as the Prestwich one is more out of my way.

For me it has to be Sandys every time.  I have visited both Sandys establishments and Samanthas, and have to agree with others that Sandys wins on all counts.  If you are not from Manc, you are highly unlikely to see anyone you know.

If you are not wedded ;) solely to a choice of Sandy's or Samantha's, then for a 1st time visit I'd suggest that you might be better off looking for an established indie, an hour would give you time to relax a bit and enjoy.  The benefit of that is that you can communicate directly with your chosen lady beforehand to discuss your preferences etc, and also it avoids any waiting room nerves.

My very first visit was to a parlour with a communal waiting area, it was nerve wracking at the time and I guess the dog collar didn't help  , but don't forget that everyone is there for essentially the same reason.  I walked out a little later without a care in the world :)

have been to both and sandys is ten times better for me, both for choice of girls and the place itself, rooms i have been in at samanthas have had very low ceilings for me and it felt like you are in a cellar, you can park very close to the rear entrance  at samanthas if you get there early enough though and if there is space around the back, they do keep you separate from other punters too, which does not bother me to be honest.at sandys the rooms are a lot better and the choice of girls even better !!  only went to samanthas in the past to see certain girls who have long since left.

Yeah I've done some more research and I'm now leaning back towards Sandys. The risk of anyone recognising me is very slim (not known anyone in the Northenden area for years) but it's more the knowing looks or anyone saying anything I'd prefer to avoid. Hopefully I can time it so that it's not that busy.

Cheers

Once you're through the door and sat down for 5mins you'll be alright and thoughts will quickly turn to something else! When you walk out, you probably won't notice anyone around you as you'll be walking out with a smile on your face!

WARNING - learn from my school boy error.......my first time in Sandys Northernden I marched out of the door with wobbly knees beaming from ear to ear - then it hit me, I'd walked bold as brass out the front door - directly on to the high street! Make sure you exit correctly.

Why go to a parlour, surely the answer is to see a private escort who will accept your booking and offer the discretion you are after.

Is there another exit at Sandys? I've only known the front door which lets me out onto the high street, where I then float across the road to the bus stop :)

Hope it all went well- where did you choose?

Reading this thread makes me realise I have made what I think is a good choice not to visit anywhere near home.  Though I have to avoid Sandys at Northenden as a family friend lives nearby.

I took the advice of Spklors and visited a private escort - it well well thanks and I think I'll stick with going private until I get a bit more confidence to visit somewhere like Sandys!
