Punting classed as porn

3 posts in this topic

Was listen to someone suggesting this on the radio as a way to get around current laws regarding brothels (and the new law just passed).

Pornography is legal and in many ways is similar to punting - in the sense that you pay a girl to perform sexual acts. So it was suggested on the radio that you class brothels as a place where pornography is being filmed, and the punter is paying the girl to "appear" in a film.

Could this actually work?

It goes deeper than that:

Pornography = Graphos (writing or drawing) about Porne (Prostitute). The videoing should not be necessary, all that is needed is for the Maid to keep a record of who worked, how many people they saw, the services provided, the amount paid and any safety precautions followed. If they allow the client to write his own description of the encounter, there is even more pornography. Now, how far removed does that sound from what actually happens?

Nowadays, with Gonzo and POV porn films, the Pornstar, who is still a sex worker, often gets paid by the person having sex with her - yet that isn't seen to make her a prostitiute in jurisdictions where prostitution is illegal.
