This is a request to the board admin.

Can we please either lock, make sticky or even a simple reference to previous threads on the following subjects;

Dinner dates

Overnights

Addresses

Piercings

I suggest this since the above topics come up over and over again (yes I did start one recently in anger), but the same things are said.

By the way regards addresses I gave out a full address and postcode plus step-by-step instructions along with recommended look up on google maps for the place to park near me. For the first time in 2 1/2 years I was told the chap was completely lost and refused my offer to talk him in. For JRC's benefit the postcode I gave out for parking DOES show up on sat nav and when googled gives you a road with two car parks on it, from which you could pull over and call from.

Back to the point, the above topics have been done to death and we all get wound up about them. So I suggest an amnesty where we simply don't mention them or a link is posted by admin to the aforesaid discussions.

Vote "Aye" or "Nay".

I vote "nay".

I nearly always take the line that as long as thread has a clear title then if anybody is not interested in it, then they can simply ignore it. Why stop other people from discussing something that still interests them... whether or not they have been discussed before or not?

And that, IMHO, is what makes them so interesting, so I vote nay, nay, a thousand times nay.

Nay also. The mods are more than capable of merging/deleting/closing threads without any of our input. Also, a Thread will drop down and out of naturally if it's not active.

Ooh dear, here is me thinking it's a good idea.

This implies most males like repeating the same old stuff....oh dear again.

Nay. Newer users may wish to discuss topics which have been exhausted by the old timers.

Hi Strawberry

I think the mods will be kept very busy if they do decide to go with your idea.

I believe repetitive moaning is the norm for some posters.

Lock one thread, they will find something else to have a moan about. :o

Best thing to do is to bite ones tongue (very hard) or simply agree to disagree.

Admittedly this can be difficult when one has strong views.

We all have views. Some are very strong views. Some people keep such views to themselves or get them across in a diplomatic and respectful manner. Some can only get their point across by being nasty or disrespectful. It takes all sorts to make this world what it is...

Exhausted. Well the guys must have more stamina than most ladies since they continously knock prices, misunderstand long bookings and even dengrate our efforts to get them to our boudoirs. As I recently reported even someone with a full address for parking gave up despite the fact my town is reported as "tiny" and that simply asking for a major landmark should get you to the right place!

They say that a change is as good as a rest, maybe take a look at other professions. Or simply take a rest.

If everyone was to read the posting rules then everything would be simple, here is just a snippit of what applies here;

"Posting worthless messages which contribute nothing meaningful"

"Posting the same message more than once"

"Wasting the moderators' time"

"Starting a thread with the same topic as an existing thead - READ BEFORE YOU POST!"

It goes on to say;

"Comments, suggestions, complaints, etc. are always welcome - by e-mail, NOT on the board."

"The board rules and management policies are not open for public debate. Posting any messages about board rules or the board management will result in being put on pre-moderation status and possibly being banned from the board."

We have a search facility that works but few seem to be able to locate it (look between "New posts" and "Quick links") or failing that just read the past topic pages for a few months, just because its not on page 1 may not mean its not an active topic.

Yes they do seem to feel extremely insulted by rates, social dates, dinner dates, gifts etc.

I have come to the conclusion that some gents feel much comfier with prostitutes than they do with escorts. They find it hard to understand why anyone would pay for company. These would be people who believe their way is the right way... I'm not a big fan of dictatorship. If they are too narrow minded to realise there are all kind of people in this world with different needs, leave them to it! Don't let it bother you. As long you have regular work coming in and are happy with what you do, who cares what anyone thinks :o

By "escorts" I take it that you mean no sexual services?

Surely a question about a rule, as opposed to a debate over a rule, should be public?

There are already six "sticky" topics, I don't think we need any more. :o

either way the question was "Can we please either lock, make sticky or even a simple reference to previous threads on the following subjects;"

If we all take time to read the posting rules I'm sure something must fit here, the most annoying thing for a moderator is having to moderate, I would rather spend my time joining in debate or passing on my expirence, but most of my time is chasing crap, in this case I class crap as anything from duplicate posting right up to posting offensive material, in between we have things like posting in the wrong foum, worthless messsages etc. Perhaps its now time to bring it home to members that we have posting rules for a good reason, maybe the next person to post a topic that has already been done to death takes a spell in pre-mod for a decade or so or anyone questioning board management gets a knock on the door at midnight and ends up taking a one way trip to traitors gate? I'm all for an easy life here but before anyone complains at the very least read the posting rules first as I could really do with an early night this week?

Well in that case you might as well turn the lights out now and only switch them on again for 5 minutes every week, because the vast majority of postings are merely re-hashes of the first 6 or so months worth of posts since the board started.

Hmmmmmmmmm, I think that you might have misunderstood the point I was trying to make or I did not make my point clear, what I was trying to say was that if the rule about not posting the same post/topic/subject was followed rigorously then it would only be necessary to open the board for about 5 minutes per week, and I say that because the nature of any message board is mostly repetitious, it has to be repetitious, that is human nature, just about everything that can be said has been said in the first 6 months or so since the board started so whether or not it is said (again) in an existing thread or in a new thread is irrelevant, it has already been said and thus should be deleted if you follow the same post/topic/subject rule. You have posted more than once about the same post/topic/subject rule instead of pointing posters to your first post about the same post/topic/subject rule, it's a natural thing to do, I have posted many times about the "living off immoral earnings" legislation, I did not point the poster to my original post, it's a natural thing to do.

1st rule of PNMB :- the male punter is always the one who is in the wrong

2nd rule of PNMB :- Ladies who post on the MB are never wrong

3rd rule of PNMB :- W.G's who don't post on PNMB are allowed to be in the wrong by the Ladies who post on PNMB

If that was remotely true there would be no PNMB.

An opinion is an opinion and all will differ but the odds of birds of a feather sticking together will apply as in anything you care to mention.

For the record I would love to be proved wrong, just to see what it feels like;)

All online forums on all subjects repeat themselves over and over again. It's just a natural cycle of old forumites drifting away and new ones coming along. There's nothing more offputting to a newbie when all their threads/questions get answered with "just use the search function". Anyway boards are dialogues not reference books!
