Should Sp's Use Real Pics In There Gallerys ?

78 posts in this topic

I have come to the conclusion these Photoshop edited pics are pointless in Galleries. No matter what one says a Photo shopped photo will have no resemblance to what you will see. So come on agencies let's have your girls gallery's with ' what you see is what you get'.

Natural is best. Any other guys agree ?

I agree, others won't.

A wg I've seen quite regularly has taken her photos herself on her own camera or phone. They're not the best quality, but are very accurate. Personally I prefer that to airbrushed or photoshopped glamour type pics.

It's a bit of a no-brainer isn't it?  If you're basing your decision to pay a substantial sum of money largely on what you see in the profile pics then of course they should use natural non-photoshopped pictures.  Otherwise it's false advertising and they're opening themselves up to negative feedback if the reality doesn't match the profile.  I don't really understand the point of the question to be honest

Agreed and as another poster said, a bit of a no brainer. In my personal opinion, anything else is deception, as I believe the physical looks of an SP are vital.

Although mentioning airbrushing, I can understand if an easily identifiable tattoo is airbrushed out by a wg wishing to remain anonymous.

Airbrushing out a tattoo is really the point is it? Yes that's acceptable but otherwise of course they should be genuine. As said above - no brainer

The wg I referred to above started out as an indie, and went on to work for a couple of agencies. I'd seen her a few times by then, and when I saw her agency pics I could tell they were accurate and not photoshopped, so I was reasonably confident the photos of the agencies other girls were accurate as well.

To clarify my "i agree others won't" comment above, I misread the op and thought he was referring to natural self taken type shots vs professionally shot glamour type photos rather than just airbrushing. Must pay attention, ;)

I have to say, as an observer, that I do not like the glossy sort of photos that the mainly London agencies use.  They look so false.  No woman has skin as perfect as that!  Unless the girl is absolutely beautiful with a perfect body, the clients are either easily pleased when they get the real thing or have low expectations.  Much better to see the real thing, warts, tummies, cellulite and all. IMHO

My photos are taken by my clients, so no fakery (is that a word, I'm not English?). Why have it any other way?

Bons x

Agreed, in fact I'd avoid those profiles with those "gentleman's magazine" type photos with the apparently flawless golden hued skin and the concave belly.  Let me see the reality - it helps of course that I'm attracted to what I think of as the "real" woman not a Page 3 ideal.  I'm far from perfect and I don't expect my women to be perfect either.  Give me a little soft tummy over a six pack any day  :)

I only use independent Ladies and I look after a number of profiles for Ladies.

I can't imagine why they shouldn't use 'real pics' in there (sic) galleries.

Is the use of false pictures common?

If so, I'd boycott the agencies/indies who are doing this.

Honey I take pics please bel me digital pics are so severe I even have to airbrush kids where the light wasn't great or they sat funny and look ten times bigger........................even print pics need work but all this airbrushing was done on the negative then in the darkroom nothing has changed only this time it's on a computer.  The best natural pics you can get is with an iphone but placing it above your head and the light shining on your face bec the pixles are diff to a proper severe digital photograph. Photographers in the past used mega watt huge  lights you see in tv studios bec a picture is all about the light after all, that doesn't happen today you get one god damn ugly yellow light and they fix it on the computer so please bel me the most beautiful woman in the world looks shit in that set up.

Airbrushing is one thing, photoshopping another.

With photoshopped pics there is a tendency to reduce women to a sort of ideal whereby they all look like a few "types" rather than individual human beings.

Agreed. Add photos taken at weird angles to hide flaws should not be done.

I use real photos, they just happen to be professional shots with small use of photoshop. I don't see the issue with it if it is used to remove beauty spots, tattoos, scars, dodgy shadows, enhance lighting etc. I've never had a walk out or anyone claiming I look different to my photos. I've done some shoots where I was unable to use the photos afterwards because the photographer had slimmed me down too much and increased my bust, that'd be false advertising, and would've potentially deterred clients who wanted someone who looked like me. I like to work with a professional photographer who is able to direct me into the correct poses to showcase my body, grainy phone snaps wouldn't be able to do that so well for me.

Each to their own really.

In your case photoshop is just another way of airbrushing.

What I object to is when photoshop is used to alter the face (or body, but this is less common I think) to the extent that it bears little relation to the real face of the WG in question.

its a matter of degree.

at a simple level we can fix things like redeye and bits that are badly lit.

then we can start to remove blemishes.  But at what stage are you ceasing to show a reasonable likeness?

I shy away from the 'perfect' looking girls.

but crap photos I find as unappealing.  My no 1 hate is a pic of a girl taking a pic with her phone in a mirror.

I think problems begin when phtoshopping alters the underlying bone structure of the face.

Truly authentic pics like this you mean?

I have been with this girl and she does not have legs like this, though I wish she did. Actually, no I don't.

To be fair That could be an angle shot.

If the photographer is on the floor shooting up it gives that illusion.

I made Natalie on my site look like that with an Iphone pic, and she's a pygmy puff ( but that I mean small in height)

This conversation was had on the MK board whenI asked Professional or un-professional.

I have a fairly good working relationship with the photographer that I use, and Photoshop isn't used on our girls.

Some of the pics have been airbrushed ( with Tattoo's etc) but the rest is how you find the girl.

(for those tattoo's airbrushed out it does say so on the site.)

Kailyn's are completely untouched, not even slight airbrushing, as it was not needed at all.

Unfortunately, as someone who sees both sides, how do you please both parties?

The answer is you don't.

it's an old argument this one.

A lot of its common sense and I often think these girls that airbrush to the extreme are missing a trick.  I can think of one young lady that I personally thought was stunning, but she messed with her pictures that much she looked weird and it couldn't have done her a lot of good...   It's not much different with porn.  The am stuff sells so much better than the professional overdone stuff simply because its real.

I'm not sure that a few pics done with a phone is enough though because that smacks of laziness.

I was just joking here, but purely out of curiosity, for the SPs here - I know it's your job, you don't need to fancy your clients etc - but if you could see pictures of then beforehand do you think you would actually turn someone down based on how they looked?  I mean, us punters are at an advantage, we've seen pics of you, but you never know what's going to be waiting for you on the other side of the door when you hear the knock  :)
